Ordered a regular menu item (steak, egg, cheese on everything bagel) and got it without the egg. When I complained and asked for my money back because we had no time for a do-over, I was refunded the money. But the manager told me not to return because "the store has been making too many mistakes on your orders and you nearly drove my employee to tears." This would be the same employee no one could find the week before to fix another improperly prepared sandwich on the same morning 2 of the 3 entrance doors were locked at 6:40 and not unlocked by the manager until 7:25. Poor, arrogant management and poorly trained employees have finally succeeded in driving a years-long faithful customer permanently away from this place! read more

The cashiers were not helpful - the menu board is not understandable, and the kids at the counter are not helpful in letting you know what is on the 1/2 and 1/2 menus - which should be better explained on the main menu board. Why are customers not being asked if they want chips or bread or apple as a side item anymore? The past 3 times we were never asked an each time were given stale hard bread as a side. They give out pagers when you place your order, but they don't use them you have to hope to hear your name being called - Personally for the overpriced food, people should get a table top number and have some of those kids that are standing around talking(calling themselves employees) take it to the table. read more

Just passed through on a drive down to ATL - quick and efficient, maybe because there wasn't anyone else there. Food was good, as usual.

Easy and great spot to stop off from the highway for a nice meal through a drive thru. Most panera breads don't have a drive thru but I think that's so convenient of this location to do. And of course the food was delicious, as always. read more

Standard Panera fare served here. The drive through is very convenient when I'm in a rush. The salads can be a little iffy with the lettuce, but it was winter when I was there. The half sandwiches hardly had any meat or cheese, even when I paid for extra meat or cheese. For the convenience and taste, it can't be beat for the area. read more

I ordered food today from Panera unaware that they teamed up with DoorDash at 2:30pm and they said it would be delivered at 3:00-3:15pm. I get a notification at 3:28pm saying my order was delivered I walk to the door and it's not there. So I call the driver, he doesn't answer, call 5 more times he doesn't answer, I text he doesn't respond. So I call Panera, they put me on hold, after 7 min I realize they must have forgotten about me so I hang up and call back They put me on hold again for 10 minutes this time so I call from my house phone while still on hold on my cell phone. They answer and tell me there is nothing that they can do about it because I ordered through DoorDash. I try to explain that I did not order through DoorDash I would never use DoorDash I ordered from the Panera app. But they don't care they tell me I have to deal with them, there is nothing more they can do. So I call Doordash they transfer my call 7 times. 7 TIMES!!! I HAVE TO TELL THIS STORY, VERIFY MY NAME, MY ADDRESS, EVERYTHING SEVEN TIMES!!! I am on the phone with them for almost an hour. In the end they still don't give me a refund they call Panera who tells them to have me call them and they will refund my card but when I call they say no, you'll have to contact DoorDash. So apparently I'm out $40.00 with no food to show for it! They have quite the little operation going with DoorDash! Charge people for a product that they do not and can not receive and then telling people that they are unable to refund you. Not to mention the waste if 2.5 hours on the phone. read more

Had ham and swiss on rye with bakery item for 99 cents (I had the cinnamon muffin) and fountain drink. Sandwich was dry and tasteless. I never tasted the ham all.. Condiments such as mayo, mustard, salt & pepper were availabe in tear open packets but not even a plastic knife, fork or spoon was available to spread the condiments on the sandwich. Both the sandwich breead (rye) and the muffin were very dry and not fresh. The muffin, in addition to being dry, was tasteless. The Ice dispenser on the soda fountain leaked water on your hand as you fill your cup with ice. The restroom was floor was dirty. It was sticky all over and look like it had dried crud on it. I have been here multiple times and never had a problem until now. Tonight I went with my friend and I made sure they would be open because it takes us about 20 minutes to drive there. We went an hour before they were closing and when we walk in the first thing we were told was that they were closing in four minutes (an hour early because they had a meeting). We asked them if they were still taking orders and they said only to-go. So we each get the you pick two and when we got to the car and open it we were extremely disappointed. Our sandwiches were carelessly thrown together, ham flying all over the place. Don't even get me started about the lettuce in our salads. We not ordered caesar salads so you can imagine our disgust when we open it to find baby spinach. Overall horrible experience. They were also out of their signature broccoli cheddar soup which was really just the cherry on top. The salads were tiny and again carelessly thrown together. Then, when we were leaving we got locked in the vestibule-we were cleary still in the store. We were going to try to get our money back but we were locked out! Well, I was very disappointed. I have been to this location and it has been fine but this time, it was so bad. My daughter got the 4 cheese grilled cheese sandwich (for $4 plus) and it had almost NO cheese. It was hardly grilled. As for my order, I got a Caesar salad and instead of getting of getting Caesar dressing, I got Italian dressing. The lettuce was not that fresh. It is really unfortunate that I spent over $20 for this. It will be a long while before I go here again. read more

Not good. Long standing roof leak nasty and dripping on the window sill next to our table. A plastic tub was half full from the drip. Lemon cookie was stale, pecan bun stale. Italian sandwich with very little meat-lots of bread and lettuce some of which was slimy and black. Cost 24$ for a lunch for two. Not likely to go there again. The Panera in Athen, Ga is awesome and a pleasure to visit. But Abderson is def NOT. read more

I use Panera A LOT for catering, but I will NEVER use this location again. My order was delivered and they left out part of the order (this was an almost $400 order). I called immediately and told them that part of it was missing. The person on the phone argued with me and said that the catering manager had personally packed the order so there was no way it was wrong (really?!) I assured that it did have items missing and she said that they could deliver it but it would be 45 minutes to 1 hour before they could get it out to me even though I was only about 5 miles away. This meant is would arrive AFTER the lunch break was over so I told her not to bother sending it out and just to refund my card for the amount and have the catering manager call me. She said she couldn't refund it that the manager would have to... I stated again that the manager would need to call me if she couldn't handle the situation. It has been a week and a half... the manager never bothered to call. My card was NOT refunded for missing items. AND the office that I was catering lunch for said that some of the missing items were delivered about an hour AFTER lunch was over.... although still not All of the items were delivered. I suggest that Corporate Panera get someone into this location and do some re-training or clean house. I totally get that mistakes are made... that was not even what I was upset about... I was upset that they argued with me and then NEVER tried to make it right. HORRIBLE customer service read more

I love the salads, but the portions are tiny for the price. I always leave hungry! If there was a Jason's Deli in Anderson I'd never come to Panera for that one reason. They could compete if they didn't skimp on the portions so badly. read more

Sorry guys but that broccoli cheddar soup was horrible (no flavor, thin, and not enough spices). Greek salad was bad too. It was not fresh and short on dressing. My worst Panera Bread experience so far and I eat often at different PB's across the east coast. read more
