I've been going to Eggs Up Grill for several years. I've have tried a variety of breakfast dishes and some of the lunch options. I've never been disappointed with the food, or the service I receive. They have a lot of great breakfast choices and a smaller selection of lunch offerings. They recently remodeled the inside of this location. It was kind of dark before the remodel but now it's open and bright! The servers are always friendly and professional. They serve the food quickly and it's always hot and fresh. One of the eggs was perfect, the other was soft poached on homemade bread. The sauce was a bit salty for me but it didn't stop me from eating the whole plate. Served with grits or fresh fruit. The crab cake itself was very good. My husband had the original eggs Benedict and his eggs were spot on and his grits Were made perfectly. I wanted to give 5 stars but too salty and one egg not cooked properly I only dropped one star. The atmosphere is nice and clean. It's at the end of a small strip mall. This was a very disappointing spot from the start. There were only 2 other tables occupied when we got there but the service was very slow. The waitress took 10 minutes just to take our order. The food arrived quickly but my friends toast was cold and barely toasted. The home fries were under cooked and over seasoned. After getting drinks took a long time to get food which i was fine with but didn't get half the order and couldn't get "waitress " to come back to table. When she did finally come back very short with us and walking away while we were asking for things. Waited over 20 minutes for check,the went to register and waited another 10. Will never go back and advise other to do the same. The cooks were the only ones that were working hard and polite. I had the Smokehouse Mac n cheese! I was pretty happy with mine. The Mac was creamy and the pork was full of flavor. The garlic Toast it was served with made a big difference. My companion's food was pretty average, the potatoes were served cold. The waiter looks way too busy which tells me they're definitely understaffed. The wait was about 30 minutes. She said if I didn't like sausage I could just switch it for bacon no problem. Being someone that gets sick off of sausage sometimes, I was very thankful she offered. We were greeted at the door with the smiling face and warm welcome from (the owner?) who showed us to our table, and someone immediately took our drink order. We had already seen the menu online so we knew what we wanted. Our server kept our drinks filled and checked on us often and someone (the other owner?) came around to see if everything was going alright and thanked us for coming in. We had Corned Beef Hash and Eggs (Excellent, homemade taste, not your run-of-the-mill hash/////eggs were fresh and prepared perfectly), Sweet Potato Pecan Waffle w/ Creamy Cinnamon Syrup (Divine, the waffle was very good, the syrup was off the chain), Coffee (good), Unsweetened Iced Tea (good, light and fresh) There are several things on the menu that I want to try so the final jury is still out on this place, but if this visit was any indication, good things are yet to come. read more

The servers were friendly but it took a long time to get our food and when we did get it it was cold. The food it self was just average.

First, let me start with a tip. Call ahead. We learned our lesson in Albany, GA. We called from Greenville and asked if there was a wait. They confirmed and we said our ETA was about 30 minutes or so. When we arrived everyone was sitting around waiting to be seated. We probably waited about 60 seconds before they had a table cleared for us and sat us down. This location is located in a Publix parking lot. We did have a little trouble finding it because the GPS just took us to the lot. If you're not from Anderson, then let me say just find the Publix. If you're looking at the Publix the Eggs Up is on the far left of the store. The service here was great. I want to quote my wife on the bus boys. "They're like Meer cats. They sit at their station and peek up and look for tables and when one clears they POUNCE ON IT!" The other staff were very similar. They were attentive and constantly refilling drinks or leaving extra glasses, because it was very busy. As for the food I can say the franchise is pretty consistent. This is the second location we have visited and everything was good again. My hash was very good and I mixed some of it with eggs and butter in my grits to make a grits bowl. Individually they were all great as well. My wife had the Benedict Hash again. She's reluctant to try new things after she finds something she likes. She raved about it as usual. She loves Hollandaise sauce. I'd recommend this place for breakfast or brunch hands down, but make sure you call ahead! read more
