DON'T get the lobster roll or the lobster Mac & cheese! it was AWFUL! this was a total waste of over $33 for this "you pick two" meal. The Mac & cheese had more lobster claws in it than any lobster meat. The lobster roll was just 2 separate pieces of rolls with big chunks of lobster & some lettuce in between. When I tried to bite the "roll" --. lettuce & lobster chunks fell out because it wasn't a slit roll which is typical for lobster rolls. I've lived in Lakeville since 2006. I've never visited the Panera Bread near Target off of Cedar until tonight with my daughter. I ordered the French Dip Ciabatta. Was it expensive? Yes, more than fast food, but less than a dine in restaurant. But the dining experience was nice. We sat in front of the fireplace to keep warm. The food was good. We stopped by Panera for a quick drink and pastry. I got a hot chai tea which was great for a cold day and my friend got a pastry. I was disappointed that they removed the hot chocolate from the menu. The drink came out quickly and was about 5.00. They have a large lot and lots of indoor seating if you want to eat in. This Panera re-opened after moving locations in Apple Valley. The dining area is beautiful. May 9, 2023 went in for a late lunch - 3ish. Dining area nearly empty. No employees available to take order, no problem used kiosk. My Chicken Chipotle avocado sandwich was done great! My soup was barely warm. I brought it back to the counter and the worker asked if it was the Broccoli cheddar, which it was. They did offer to replace it, but I just wanted it heated in the microwave, don't want to waste food. My big complaint: this location is new(er), and nice inside, but our visit the dining area was so gross!! Food and garbage was on the tables, floors, and the garbage/return station was overfilling with garbage and plates/bowls. It was disgusting. I get the food/restaurant business have changed their models, and have scaled back employees during non-rush hours. Nobody was really in the dining area which means food wasn't being ordered (nobody was coming in either for order pick up). I will say the employees were busy working they were not standing around. Just want enough of them to clean the dining area. It was really gross. Come on PANERA! Help out these employees and have some more support for the existing employees. One more person won't break the bank. The hours tops to pay someone to clean up. Hire some challenged work groups. Help out the community so people continue to visit your restaurant. read more

They really need better quality control. They goofed on 2 orders this month. Earlier they forgot the quart of soup for my sick husband on a takeout order. This morning they goofed up my breakfast sandwich and gave me scrambled instead of over easy eggs. The scrambled ones taste watery and have a funny consistency. Had to throw it out. I was in the area for the YES event and stopped in to grab breakfast. Ordered off the app an iced coffee with milk & vanilla flavoring, as well as a cheese souffle. The souffle was good, but they only gave me a fork and these clearly need knives unless you're going handheld. They evidently put the vanilla shot in the bottom of my glass and then left it empty. I wasn't aware that they even did it until I asked. Also, had to go to two different stations for my coffee because the iced coffee is at the sodas and milk is clear across the cafe at the coffee station. Not world ending but inconvenient. Really would've been easier to just have had them make it. This is a newer location and it's not really better than the previous one. Not sure if they had to rehire the staff when they moved but it's been a mixed experience since. Had soup that was served too cold before and then basically microwaved and served back to me instead of just saying it's not available. Staff appears to be overwhelmed and the front is rarely clean. previous visit the heat was stuck on and it was 105 degrees in the restaurant and the staff said they couldn't do anything about it. Here's what happened: I just waited 10 minutes behind a car (engine shut off!!) at the drive up/Rapid Pick-Up. Team members saw me. My order was ready. After 10ish minutes (7:39), a bag came out the window to the other car. By now, I was calling to ask about my order (no answer) - ready since 7:23. So ... rapid pick up and drive thru in the same line? I guess that is how it works. Doesn't make a lot of sense. And apparently, even if YOU ordered ahead, you just wait for the people ahead to have orders made? According to the team member at the window: Yes. This makes no sense. I asked again, a different way ... could that other car have pulled off to wait - "It doesn't really work that way," he said, feeling no need for any more explanation. I said my order had been ready and this system was disappointing. If anyone at Panera is listening... Please tell your team that my $9 bread is a luxury item. This visit the pick-up was far too long, especially since I'd taken time to order it at my local Panera before driving across the metro). The bag has no tie to close it, but it is clicked corrected. My wife and I eat here around once a week (when we're not "social distancing") and we have always found the service to be nearly flawless and the occasional error has always been rectified immediately with a smile. We really like the ipad order kiosks AND that they then deliver it to your table! This is such a smart system (with the pager that leads the server to your table) and makes this semi-fast food a really nice experience. The food has always been extremely high quality and very fresh. Portions are perfect and prices reasonable. Those who complain about the price should try to understand the immense cost of rent, utilities, all the staff, and a gigantic inventory to make available the marvelous selection of food Panera offers. If you want a $5 sandwich, I suggest Wonder Bread and Oscar Mayer Balogna from your fridge at home. The dining room is awesome with a really nice ambiance. We really like the fireplace! We also order at home often (for delivery) and the staff of this restaurant has gone out of their way to make sure our order is correct. My wife has some "unique" preference regarding coffee and the store has called us a couple times to make sure they understood the order correctly. Good show! The young lady who usually makes the deliveries is really a gem and we enjoy her warm greetings when she brings our meal. Went through drive through. The lady told me there would be a 30 min wait before I got my food. I was appreciative she told me before I ordered. Since I had time, I decided to wait. It ended up being 15 mins, so that was great. Chicken noodle soup/group. Drove home-3 miles away. Picked up the paperbag and the entire tub fell through the bottom! I had leaked or wasn't dry enough when it was put into the bag. It went all over my leg burning me, in my car, and in my garage. I went back. Stood outside the restaurant doors and banged on them because they were locked-early! Finally a gal let me in, got me new soup and I heard her tell the kitchen staff. I haven't been to Panera in a long time due to some service issues and the incredibly high price of the food. It is amazing to me that people can pay $12+ for half a sandwich and a cup of soup or small salad. There were very few people at Panera at 6 p.m. on a Saturday night. I was the 2nd in line at the register. The clerk was cordial, smiled and greeted me nicely. After that, things went downhill. As I was waiting to be checked out, I could see the overflowing garbage on the floor - not just a little, a lot. Apparently no one has the job to empty the garbage when it gets full and put in a new liner. Very unappealing, when you see the person right next to it making the food. I paid, and only then remembered that I should have been asked for my rewards number to see if I had any rewards available. I waited in line a 2nd time, and asked if she could check. Sure enough, I had a free pastry which would have expired in 2 days had I not asked. My order was to go, and when I opened the bag the extra item was the plain baguette vs. the sprouted grain roll which I prefer, or an apple - I was not asked which I preferred. The bread the sandwich was on was not toasted - which would have been my preference. Again, was never asked. These may be rather small things but I get regularly peppered with reminders to come in to Panera and for all the rewards available yet when in the store, was not asked if I was a rewards member. The very opportune time to either solicit new members or to thank existing members totally missed. Asking the simple service type questions that show concern for how the customer would like their food when there are options is another simple courtesy and expected of a high end sandwich shop. Actually, should be expected at any restaurant - from fast food and up. My tab was $13 with tip - for a rather small 1/2 tuna sandwich and a side. Rather outrageous in my opinion. I do pick up orders usually. This location can never get my oder correct, literally every single time I order here. They forget my coffee, they forget my cream cheese, they don't put cream or sugar in my coffee, or they try to pawn off those small one serving cream cheese in my order when I paid for full tubs, like really ya'll that absent minded that I order a dozen bagels and one want a tiny thing of cream cheese?
