    Blueberry tres leches
    Rae W.

I got there first, for our party of seven. I was seated right away and the wonderful waiter brought water and recommended a nice mocktail. The drink order came out before the rest of the party arrived, so I was able to sip on that for a bit. The waiter was wonderful and able to help accommodate my request for a normal plastic straw after my paper straw practically disintegrated. While waiting, it became very clear where the Mason Jar name came from. The ceiling and walls use many of them for decor, and the drinks are also served in the titular jars. The menu had a good selection, and I settled on the Minnesota Sampler, since I'm only in the state for a brief time. The food was well prepared, but a bit too salty of my tastes. The hot dish and the pot pie were yummy, but the poutine's blue cheese wasn't really doing it for me. For dessert, three of us ordered the seasonal tres leches, which was blueberry. It was very rich, which I consider a plus. But it was a massive serving. I think the three of us could have split one order and been satisfied. I'm sure for the right patron, they'd love this large portion though.

Great weekend brunch spot, great spot for family gatherings and bridal/baby showers. Excellent salmon avocado toast, huevos rancheros (the real deal, according to my Texas bestie), salmon salad, espresso martini, and yes, the Dubai Chocolate Croissant really is something special. Enjoy!

Went here for a weekday lunch. They have a lunch special to pick 2 or 3 options of soup, salad and a half sandwich. Definitely get the pick 3. The lunch portions aren't overly large. The tomato basil soup is so fresh and delicious and was my favorite lunch choice I got. Our server was attentive despite a full restaurant! They have a cute casual dining room that is the best for breakfast or lunch. They also offer dinner options for larger appetites. Mason Jar Kitchen is sure to be a crowd pleaser so be sure to check them out!

A nice suburb brunch option with brunch served daily. The scratch-made kitchen approach shows in the food, and the space is clean and comfortable with a good variety on the menu covering savory, sweet, and the classics. The MJK breakfast was solid, and the chorizo sausage had great flavor. One thing worth noting is that they don't have non-pork breakfast meat options, which would be a welcome addition for those avoiding pork. The nitro cold brew was decent, the service was good, and overall it's a reliable and well-executed brunch spot if you're in the area. Plenty of parking options since its in a shopping mall.

Breakfast on a Saturday morning. The space is really nice inside with plenty of seating. Eggs beneditct was ok, eggs cooked perfect though hollandaise sauce had a bit of a tang to it, super lemony, it was all you cohld taste, not our favorite. Steak and eggs was good as was the biscuits and gravy. Not the biggest portions around but you can tell they use really good quality ingredients. Service was good and there is plenty of parking.

Food is delicious! The place is so beautiful inside, lovely Sunday morning vibe with coworkers! We got assisted right away. Our food came out quick and yummy. I love their coffee bar menu! Will be coming again with family.

I'm so happy restaurant week announced their list of participating restaurants. I met up with my friend for dinner, great deal for $38 and 3 courses. Restaurant is spacious, I sat in the back dining area and noticed empty mason jars hung on the ceiling. Some of them were used as lights. The food was delicious! I was surprised how big my steak was and the seasoning was delicious. Plus we had to save room for dessert! Definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the area.

Great service at a place with true Minnesotan menu options, including Chicken Wild Rice Soup, Tater Tot Hot Dish and 10,000 Lakes Pot Pie. And I love that they serve delicious Sebastian Joe's ice cream. Ambiance is cute too, I especially love the patio on warm summer days.

The Mason Jar gets very busy for weekend brunch so definitely make reservations if you can plan ahead. Service is usually friendly, and the restaurant is on the louder side during peak times. -- The Biscuit and Gravy is so savory and good. The giant cheddar and green onion biscuit is flavorful and goes well with the creamy gravy. -- The breakfast burrito is solid. -- The Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Corn Waffle is delicious. The cornbread waffle pairs so well with the rosemary-infused syrup and honey butter. The chicken tenders are standard. -- The Dubai Chocolate Croissant is awesome. The croissant itself is flaky and buttery, and the filling is crispy and creamy. -- The Caramel Pecan Breakfast Roll is massive and can easily be shared with the table. It's super fluffy and soo warm and gooey. -- The Crispy Chicken and Mash Stack is an absolute home run. The breading is so crispy and the chicken is salted perfectly. It's like an elevated KFC mashed potato bowl. I liked the mix of the sauteed veggies and the charred broccolini, and the fluffy mashed potatoes with the denser biscuit on the bottom. -- The Spinach Artichoke Dip is okay. The dip itself is pretty mushy and bland, but the baked pita is seasoned well and has a good bite to it. -- The chocolate cake is fluffy and very rich. The tres leches cake is on the denser side. Between the two I would go for the chocolate cake. -- The pistachio latte is creamy and not too sweet. The pistachio flavor is strong.

Restaurant week was a DREAM at Mason Jar. Everything from the food to wine was a delight. Everything came out at good pace, food was cooked well as requested, wine pairings were great, interior was BEAUTIFUL, and service was splendid Need to come here on a regular day. I made a video for them on Instagram @xnoueats

Can I be honest? I was skeptical walking into The Mason Jar in Eagan, MN. I didn't know what to expect, but from the moment I was seated with Ryan, my doubts started to fade. Ryan was such a delight ... friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what he does. He's heading back to college soon, so if you get the chance, stop by and enjoy his service before he's gone! It was a little too early for a cocktail, so I went with the lemonade... and WOW. I ended up having two because it was that refreshing. For my entrée, I ordered the Crispy Chicken & Mash Stack, and can I just say, blown away! Perfectly seasoned, crispy, and packed with flavor. The only hiccup? The biscuit was a bit hard to cut.. honestly, it was hard. But everything else, from the service to the atmosphere to the bites, was total yum. I'll definitely be back!

Came here on a busy weekday evening but managed to get a reservation last minute. Overall I was pretty impressed with the food especially for being in the suburbs! We tried a couple of the non alcoholic Mocktail drinks and they were pretty delicious. For my toddlers I got the chicken pot pie and for myself I got walleye with mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was so tasty! We also got cheese curds to share - but with 4 adults and 2 toddlers, it was a really tiny portion for the price. I felt like even the State Fair gives more cheese curds for the price! I think I'm just used to other restaurants that give a larger amount. The service was a little slow as well - felt like the food took a while to come out, but it was busy. They have Sebastian Joe's ice cream and they also have house made cupcakes which are delicious! It's comparable to other cupcake shops in the twin cities. The ambiance is pretty modern farmhouse with a neon sign in the lobby and rustic vibes throughout. Regardless of the wait time I had an overall great experience. I heard the brunch is great and would love to come back for that some day.

My dinner was especially good....the chicken fried perfectly...all dark meat the way I like it. The potato salad was not what I expected but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm used to a mayo based potato salad but this was even better with lots of flavor! The corn was also delicious. Everyone was very happy with their dinners. The chicken and waffle dish was also good. Ratio of breading to chicken was perfect and perfectly seasoned. The honey butter that came with it was also delicious. The New Orleans shrimp bowl was great too. The ratio of shrimp, which was perfectly cooked, to rice was good. Lots of great flavor. I think that everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered. The only "ding" would be the service. We had to ask for silverware so we could eat and had to wait for straws because she forgot. I'm still going to give it 5 stars even though the service was lacking a bit. She was very nice but seemed rushed.

I ordered the Social salad. It was good but the presentation was trash. I also got a cup of the She - Crab soup. It was also just okay and certainly overpriced. Husband got the Pork Belly Burnt Ends at my suggestion. He asked if they had sauce added to them and if so, to get it on the side. Our server said they are prepared and the sauce caramelizes so no, no sauce. He asked due to being a type 1 diabetic and needed to calculate his insulin. Well, they came out covered in fresh sauce and were too dry to swallow. There were six chewed up bits of pork left on his plate when it was cleaned away. The Texas toast was the only redemption. Lastly the two others shared the half bird entree. Presentation was haphazard and the chicken was visually dry looking. They ate most of it and said the biscuit and sweet potatoes were good. The food alone wasn't bad enough to keep me away; but combining it with the service was. Our server Laura (sp?) didn't make her debut well after we've been sitting 10 minutes. We were there at 5:30 on Sunday. It wasn't busy at all. She was very nice. Her second stop was to take our orders. Food runner came and asked if we needed anything else. I asked for water as my glass was bone dry (I even ate my ice) and others' were 1/4-1/3 full. She said she couldn't bring beverages. It's water...not vodka. Weird. So Laura eventually comes back and filled our drinks and left the bill. She did overhear the birthday happenings and was nice enough to offer a free dessert. She got her cash payment and we never saw her again. Maybe it was the end of her shift? It just felt off. The table next to us had quite a few complaints and had a different server, so maybe there was just a bad vibe with the staff today? Hopefully management can figure it out. Bathrooms were nice and decor was nice throughout the restaurant.

You talk to the front desk, and they'll tell you there's an hour wait if you don't have a reservation. You look around and see open tables. You think: "that's odd". You check on the website and it says you can get a reservation for 15, 30, and 45 minutes from now. You select a reservation for 15 minutes from now, and magically there isn't an hour wait for you anymore. You note the still open tables and the line not moving. The restaurant is very loud. They're doing late 2010's industrial chic with not a soft surface in site and garage doors, so everybody's conversation bounces around indefinitely. You wait a while for a server to come. I find the way the food looks when it arrives is always different than the way it sounds when you read the menu - sometimes for better, and sometimes for worse. The coffee and bar menu is pretty decent for a brunch place. Prices are on the high end, though some are more reasonable than others. Then you get hit with a 3% credit card fee which isn't adequately disclosed on the menu or when you enter the restaurant.

The interior is modern and inviting, with some fun wallpaper making a statement. We cozied up to the bar during this visit. I will say that bar was a bit sloppy during our visit...bartenders' water bottles cluttering the visible space, bartenders spilling our drinks a bit during delivery, and weird transitions of staff that were a bit distracting. The Espresso Martini was the best item I ordered! Well balanced and the addition of the cold foam really made for an enjoyable sip. Would absolutely return for that one! The bites we ordered had great flavor, but some fell a bit flat when trying to live up to their creative ideas. The Fried Pickles were the best food item: perfectly crispy medallions with two delicious dipping sauces. The "burnt ends" cauliflower are really just roasted cauliflower with BBQ sauce on top, missing out on the umami juiciness of their namesake. The Chips that came with the Dip were just ruffled potato chips, not housemade or interesting. Solid spot for happy hour if you're looking in the area!
