I just wanted to give a shout out to Terrell for going above and beyond to help me. I ordered a Chicken Bacon Rancher with no chicken or ranch with turkey. I picked it up in the drive thru and ran a couple of errands. Before leaving the area I bit into my sandwich and to my dismay there was both chicken and ranch on it!!! Considering that I'm lactose intolerant and shouldn't eat ranch, and just can't tolerate chicken, I'm glad it only took me one bite to figure out it wasn't right! However, when I went in the restaurant, Terrell quickly took the other sandwich and said he'd make it right and he did just that! Yes, Panera is a chain, however, all Panera's are not created equally. On our way from Atlanta to Tuscaloosa we stopped for breakfast at this Panera. This was a solid choice. Good coffee and quality meals. My wife loved her oatmeal! I went with an egg sandwich which was a bit skimpy compared to egg sandwiches in Jersey. The coffee roll with it, however, was very good. If you're on the road looking for decent food (or if you live nearby Douglassville), it's a good place to stop, with friendly service! read more

Overall, out in the sitting area, this was a clean restaurant. But the service was very unsatisfactory. The people in the front as well as the back did not really seem to know how to perform their position. The order was given incorrectly twice before receiving the correct order. The food was pretty good once we received the correct order, but as I sat and watched, a couple of people wonder in from the street as well as one gentleman that had a buggy full of garbage and a few personal items on their patio. All three of these gentlemen walked in with various Restaurant and Quiktrip cups and proceeded to drink tea, coffee, and any other drink available. I ordered dinner on the Panera app because it's quite easy to use. I was really Jones in for a strawberry poppyseed salad so I ignored the B health score. The app indicated it was taking them longer than it normally does so I decided to pop in and use the ladies room. No employee acknowledged that I just walked in. The dining room was virtually empty and clean, as well as the bathroom. When it was time to pull through the drive-through, I don't think I've met a more rude individual on a drive-through intercom. It was basically "Yeah? Name? Last name? Pull forward." it was a different person when I pulled up to the window. He tried to pronounce my name correctly (which I appreciated) and was very pleasant. My food was great! I love their Mexican corn chowder so much and the strawberry poppyseed salad was delicious as well. YELPERS: I don't have a Panera near me so, when I will visit this location every now & then...when in this shopping area. I had ordered cookies across the way for breakfast but, I had to pull up when the Panera commercial popped in my head after turning into shopping plaza. I've been wanting to try the baguette sandwich that made my mouth water various times I seen the commercial so, I had to try it! Since I was running stranding I did not walk in so, here my experience... Drive through service: There was several different items in the drive through menu board. Service was quick & I settled on ordering a baguette sandwich and choice chips as my side item. After pulled up to pay, I paid, received cc back and then was given my sandwich. It was warm & boy was I excited to sink my teeth in it and fought eating it in the car especially since I had just cane from the car wash and did not want to eat in Greyland. Food: Alright, after 2 more errands in my home I made it. Grabbed my sandwich heated it up a good 15seconds, I sat down, cut it in 1/2 cause the pepperoni mozzarella melt baguette was a nice size (about 12" long). The moment has come...I bit into the baguette and my palate was confused. I chewed and took a 2nd bite...with hesitation I paused and felt like I was missing something...the bread was fine but, it was dry and had no flavor outside of the taste of pepperoni. it had no flavor so, I opened up the 1/2 of sandwich on my plate and seen why it was so dry and tasteless!!! Stopped by this location on a Friday night for something light and refreshing. I've never been to this location before because it's 30 minutes away from me but on a Friday night in Atlanta I'd rather go further out then have to find a location that's in the city and sit in traffic for an hour. To my surprise this is a newer Panera Bread and it even has a drive thru. I know the drive thru service was superb because while I was sitting down enjoying my meal so many cars were coming fast in and out so excellent service from what I can tell. I ordered a turkey sandwich with broccoli cheddar soup and it was amazing as always. I've had pretty much everything on the menu before and have enjoyed it. I would like to give them 5 stars but the inside was just not as clean as it should be. There were so many workers there to the point that they were just standing behind the lady at the register taking my order. Instead of standing around they could've been cleaning the dishes that had piled up stacked high in the trash bins or picked up the food that an elderly couple just left at the table (even though you're supposed to put your own food away they might have not known). When they first opened I didn't give a review to give them time to get things together. They are much better but they need to move a little faster w/ getting the food and smoothies out. My son had to go to the counter to get his smoothie it took so long. The cashiers are usually friendly and engaging so that's a plus. Now onto the food. The chicken noodle soup is great when it's cold out or any day; especially since it's low in calories & fat. Today I tried the chicken avocado sandwich and truly enjoyed it. I wish I knew what bread it was served on as it has a nice crunch to it and complemented the flavors of the sandwich well. The chocolate chip cookie off that warming tray is legit! Melted chocolate pulls away like in commercials and the cookie itself has a little crunch to it that's delish. When I pull off from driveup something told me check my order before I get all the way home and I'm glad I checked because there were two huge slices on it. This was my first time visiting this establishment. I was VERY disappointed to say the least. My son brought me so I didn't want to complain so I stifled my concerns so as not to dampen the day. However, The Mediterranian veggie Sandwich and Onion soup left more to be desired. The soup was borderline cold. Yeck! and they served me with a plastic spoon. I NEVER eat with plastic. When I asked for a metal utensil, I was told they were being washed. To be honest of I had known I was going to have to eat like I was at a picnic, I would not have come there. They have a place for a TIP on the receipt. A TIP FOR WHAT??? no one is serving you, you place your order from an overhead menu ( like at a McDonalds, )and you go PICK UP your food when it's ready. Giving two stars due for good customer service received, including inquiry regarding items that my have tree nuts to manager before trying to sell items. That was truly appreciated. The location was much larger than my previous Vinings store, and offered the usual variety of baked goods, coffees and heavier items like sandwiches and soups. Probably should have stuck to my usual soup purchases, but had my cousin visiting who wanted blueberry muffins. As a fellow connoisseur of blueberry muffins I ordered one and an asiago bagel. The bagel was good and the specially selected muffin (I am picky) looked equally appetizing. Unfortunately, looks were deceiving! The big, beautiful blueberries were only sprinkled on top, and none visible once muffin sliced. I added butter and toasted believing that the blueberry essence would still permeate the rest of the muffin. Once again, NOT the case! It tasted like cake. Can you believe hot chocolate is a specialty drink??!! I joined the two month Unlimited sip plan about two weeks or so ago. I was told today hot chocolate is a speciality drink because a barista has to make it, therefore, not included on the Unlimited sip club plan!!!! What???!!!! I am canceling my membership with this plan and DISCONTINUING my patronage of PANERA. PANERA is no longer considered a good restaurant for food and customer service by me. My dad who has never had Panera Bread before loved the Smokehouse BBQ Chicken Sandwich! The frozen Strawberry Lemonade was 70% ice but it was overall good especially for that hot day we ordered it! I love the kiosks that allow us to order, customize the food, and then pay so we can just sit down and wait to be served. It makes lunch out with the family so much easier. The staff is nice and quick, the last time I came in I was upset and the manager treated me to an extra chocolate pastry. It made my day because that was so unexpected and nice. The chicken pesto panini is also really delicious as was the smoothie..which got my smoothie craze started. The prices are decent and the atmosphere is nice. When we walked in my wife said "this is a fancy Panera". They just felt more upscale than others we have been to. This location has about 6 kiosks where you can submit your order. Next to the kiosks are cups for those who ordered a drink. They also offer a variety of different flavored teas and pastries (bear claws, cinnamon buns, etc). The wait at my table wasn't too long. When my food arrived, it was a sad sight. There was also no cookie or drink in sight. I asked the young man and he said he could get me the drink. He also said that I would need to go to the counter to get my cookie. (Why are things on the online/bring to your table ordering system if they can't bring it?) He was very polite. I waited several minutes and he came to tell me that they were out of the drink I ordered. (I wonder why an online ordering system isn't linked to inventory.) Again, he was polite and offered to get me something else. I chose a drink. I started to eat my mediocre lunch while waiting and almost finished it. No drink. I finally decided to go ask. I found the server on his cell phone. He apologized and went to get my drink. Since I was already up, I decided to follow the rest of the scavenger hunt and go get my cookie. When I returned to the table, the polite server had cleared my table without asking. While I appreciate his help, my lunch was NOT finished. It is a bowl with broth and there was a considerable amount left and quinoa and things you couldn't see lurking below the surface. Ugh! As for my food...the lemonade was blah. There was an ample amount of broth and the ingredients were nice and soggy below the surface. Not nearly as hearty as the advertised picture. It was flavorless, except for the salt. I would never order it again. I was excited when I picked up my cookie. Who doesn't love a warm chocolate chip cookie? It wasn't very soft and had a bit of a hardness to it like it had been sitting out too long in a warmer. While in my seat, I had a view of the drive thru. It looks like an absolute slow nightmare. I visit this location pretty frequently to sit and get some work done. This is a fairly new location so everything is new and you'd think it would be clean however, the bathrooms are usually a mess and the dining area is not kept clean. The food is pretty good and the staff is friendly but they sometimes seem to lose your order or are confused about who's order goes where. I come here to get some work done and try not to leave my things unattended so I usually order from my table or through my app. I have experienced on more than one occasion not receiving a pastry item with my meal. After informing them, I am told that I was suppose to get that from the front counter. What's the purpose of being able to order from the table, app or kiosk if you aren't going to bring me everything I am ordering. I once ordered a hazelnut coffee for my sister and I informed the staff member that delivered our food that we were missing the coffee. He instructed me to go to the front because there are several different coffees so customers as suppose to get it themselves. Um, hello! If I ordered a hazelnut coffee then that is what I wanted. I feel like this location's ordering system is a just a pain!! I also have experienced ordering a particular salad and more than half the ingredients that was suppose to be on the salad were not on it. The manager was supposedly going to refund me my money and said it would come off at the end of the night which didn't happen. I asked for Agave lemonade sweetened with my meal. She proceeds to talk about me (assuming she thought the mic was off) She let's out the biggest laugh and says "here we go with the sweetened Agave lemonade" then comes back and asks how many pumps of seeetener?
