It's sort of a meeting point for many students and professionals in the Fleming Island area, and rightfully so- the value of its sandwiches and soups is hard to beat. My review is based upon my To-Go order experiences only (I've never been able to eat in.) I always place my To-Go orders online so that they're ready for pick up by the time I get there. I always double check my order before I leave the restaurant and my orders are always correct at this location. Service is prompt--I've only had to wait maybe 2 minutes once, and that was because they were really busy that day. The presentation and taste of my food is always on par with what is pictured on their menus. This is my favorite Panera location and I will definitely keep returning to this location. The manager that is on duty during the weekday lunch hours is very friendly and efficient--he always greets the customers and wishes them a great day, and always checks to see if everything is good. read more

Was very disappointed with my order on 9/18/21 at about 5:30pm. Pre-ordered through the mobile app for curb side pickup. Sat 10 minutes past time order was supposed to be prepared. Finally brought out, didn't think much of them apologizing for being out of straws as I often don't get one from this location. Super nice fellow, no complaints with him. Get to work, lunch break. I ordered a Mediterranean veggie sandwich with added spinach and arugula (as the regular greens were out), extra tomatoes, extra hummas and avocado. But that is nowhere near what I recieved. Almost everything was missing from my sandwich except 3 small slices of tomatoes on one sandwich, the other side had none. A couple small pieces of avocado. A small smear of hummas, let than regular, definitely not extra, a few pieces of spinach. None of the other regular toppings, no onions or cucumbers, no feta cheese. I don't know how it was made so poorly, nor how it was actually sent out as a meal to a customer, but I was obviously very disappointed in my inedible meal. After emailing a complaint I was told I'd recieved a reward to my app (that I never received) and when I again pushed for a refund I was ignored. Finally reached out on Facebook of all places and was issued my refund within minutes. I don't know why it was so difficult after sharing the photos to get a refund, but thankful for it. Definitely won't be at this location again. No complaints from other nearby locations but it will definitely be a while before I think Panera for lunch. read more

Unfortunately one of the few Panera's I have been to that has poor service. Computers to order (not counter) in lobby seem to fail to work on a regular basis. Employees stare at screen and won't get a mgr to try and help til you ask... Lots of employees usually standing around not doing anything unless it's at breakfast time. Employees talking (within customer hearing range) to each other about customers not tipping well. (This happened on more than one lobby visit.) read more

Every time I've been through the drive-through they have gotten my order wrong and when I ask for it to be fixed they act as if I am inconveniencing them. Stopped in the other day for a quick lunch. I needed something to fill the hole and they were happy to do so. I have no idea what I was thinking when I said I'll have a cobb salad. My order came out fairly quickly after all it is all pre-cooked and all you have to do is throw it on a plate and fill a cup full of dressing. Ok my parts is parts in the salad were crisp and seemed fresh. The dressing was some green stuff and there wasn't much of it. I had to ask for more but still there wasn't enough. Maybe that is where all the money is cause they were pretty stingy with it. In all not a bad experience but if everyone else didn't want to eat here I would not have. I just went to Panera on Fleming Island, a place I have eaten at well over 100 times, but will not be going back. Today, I went in to get just a simple chocolate brownie. The person in front of me was placing and order and decided to change it. The cashier needed to get a manager to void the order. Problem was the managers were "on a conference call." Despite another cashier standing right there, no one asked if I wanted to place my order. Finally (5 minutes) the other woman got her order straighten out and I was able to order. I ordered my brownie and paid using Apple Pay. I went to the table and tried to stick a fork in the brownie. Seriously it was almost impossible to do. This brownie was so stale, it was almost like a rock. Without eating a bite, I took the brownie back up to the counter and showed them how hard it was. They asked if I wanted another pastry, but since it was 2:30PM there were not many pasties left and certainly nothing that I wanted. I was told I could put the brownie in the microwave. Since it had frosting on top, I didn't like that idea. I could not see a manager because remember, they were all on a conference call. No one offered me my money back and I did not want another pastry. So, I left Panera with no brownie and no money. They kept my payment and I got nothing in return. So, after over 100 trips to this Panera, I will not be returning. Panera Bread literally ripped me off. read more

The young lady at the counter wasn't very pleasant and when I got my order, it was missing part of it. She hadn't even put it in... my fault. I'll double check next time. My buzzer went off, I went up to get my food and asked about the missing item. Disappointed by the service at this Panera Bread. I frequently go to various Panera's in my area and just so happened to be near this one. I always order from the Panera app and do the pick up option. My visit at this Panera was less than satisfying. I ordered a basic turkey sandwich. BASIC basic. Just Turkey, lettuce, and cheese. No condiments or extra toppings. When I received my sandwich, I noticed they didn't put the lettuce on and the bread was super soggy. Just bread, cheese and turkey? For an $8 sandwich, that is quite aggravating. I went through the drive-thru (I was in a rush and didn't want to go back in to deal with the mixup) and asked for them to fix it. Service is going down hill! I frequently have lunch at the Fleming Island store, so many mistakes when the food arrives. Use to have friendly cashiers taking your order, at least they greeted me. Hadley (sp?) last visit just stood there like I was interrupting her day! The food is decent but lately I have been going to Newks on San Jose....they're great and glad I'm spending my $$ there! Wish there was one here! Several friends complain about the portion in the drive thru compared to the same item eaten inside. Same price, smaller size in take out. Why??? I did the dive thru. I ordered my breakfast and told them at the speaker that I wanted 2 sides of whipped cream for my dogs. Didn't mind paying extra. The cashier at the widows handed me one small bowl of whipped cream. I asked for another, since there are 2 dogs. She had the worst attitude and was rude and said that's all I could get without paying more. I told her ok and that I'd ordered 2. Her attitude was awful and she got me the smallest thing of whipped cream for my dog who'd been waiting. It was just so much extra effort and so much attitude for something seemingly so small, yet so big to my dogs and myself. read more

I would give this location zero stars if possible. The cashier at the drive through handed me a coffee without checking to make sure the lid was secure; therefore, the cup crumpled in my hand. The coffee was steaming hot, so I tried as quickly as possible to set it in the cup holder. Since my hand was shaking due to the burning contents, coffee got all over my leather seat, ruined my backpack, and caused blistering on one of my fingers. I called corporate and was told a manager from the Fleming Island location would get back to me. A manager did call once, listened to my story, said she'd call me back and then I never heard anything again. I will never go back there. A mistake is a mistake, but the customer service and lack of follow up was terrible. I do plan to follow up with corporate again. At the very least, they need to replace my backpack. read more

It's a fairly new location. I guess they forgot to put a drive thru in because months after they opened they tore the crap out of the parking lot and installed one. It's clean and the service is very good. Food is good, nice outside area, beautiful stand alone building, good amount of parking. I am a frequent visitor to this Panera Bread Cafe. Service is always accompanied by a smile and a welcoming hello. The food is very good and served quickly. The manager is always friendly and after you have been there a couple of times he even remembers your name. Unfortunately, I could not be told an exact time when delivery ended. It is posted that they are open till 10 but wouldn't take my delivery order at 8:45. It would be helpful if they had set hours and published them for the public for delivery. It sounded like they weren't delivering just because they didn't feel like it. I have had an issue before with the delivery service previously. I wanted to give it another chance because I know mistakes can happen. The food is great but the service is horrible. i have been to Panera many times and every time i feel like i am inconveniencing the workers. once i came to study for an AP exam. Four of my friends and i were sitting at a table and when receiving our food, the employee told us rudely that they are not used to people playing "games" at Panera. I have numerous times had rude comments from the employees treating students studying in high school like elementary kids. Just had the Shrimp and Avocado sandwich for lunch, and it was superb, and plentiful. Very fresh shrimp with avocado, in a mayo with tarragon dressing. This store was a test run for this sandwich, and it has been determined that it will stay, at least through the summer. I'll have it again. They also have a shrimp and cold soba noodle salad, which will I'll also test down the line. This is still the most outstanding Panera, coast to coast, and north to D.C. It's very, very clean, they deliver to your table, and bus your table. Manager continues to roam and talk to customers. Excellent business model for others. read more

Used the kiosk self serve order station (which i love!!) To order take out. They were so quick with my order i couldn't believe it. A manager even noticed i had multiple drinks and offered a carrier. So even with implementing the self serve kiosk, the staff has still managed to be sure that customer service is up to parr. Technology can't replace that. read more

I love Panera, but this location is awful. The tables and floor were filthy. I had to clean my own table and seat and it was not busy. Only 3 tables had customers. Myself and at least one other customers did not receive their complete order without asking for the rest of it. I ordered pick 2 = soup and half sandwich with baguette. My bowl and spoon both had dried on food on them when delivered to my table and no baguette. I complained and they were taken away and a new bowl of soup with baguette atop a plate was brought to the table and the plate was..you guessed it...dirty with dried on food and the baguette was burnt and I don't mean a little burnt; it was inedible. Needless to say I decided to not eat the food and I will NEVER return to this location. read more

I went to this location twice. Both times the place was a mess! All of the staff seemed disinterested as if they hated their jobs. Basically all of the tables were dirty so I had to move things off one table and onto another dirty table so that I could sit and eat at a table. At no point did I see any staff cleaning. If it had been busy I would be more understanding but both times I was there I saw hardly any other customers and yet it was still a mess. I wont be back there. read more
