I've had this sweet little spot bookmarked for a bit so when my internet went out for a couple of days, I had the chance to venture in and sit a spell! What a cute and homey spot. From the table mats on each table to the way the displays are filled, it's just welcoming. And the proprietor? A gem! She was really engaging and clearly had passion for her wares. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back...and to trying those cakes I now have in my fridge for later! Today I had chicken salad on a croissant and an iced coffee. Both were exactly the way I liked it! They also do cakes to order! Check them out!

The customer service here is excellent! They made a wonderful special requested coffee for me with heavy whipping cream. It was delicious. The cakes and pies will satisfy anyone's sweet tooth and there's so many choices daily. They've been around for 5 years and I'm just discovering this locally owned bakery and cafe in Fleming Island. I look forward to coming back and trying the lunch offerings very soon! Adorable business right across the street from Fleming Island high school. Great first experience!

Met a friend here for lunch recently. Their special of the day was Balsamic Grilled Cheese and Tomato Bisque with a drink. All for $8! Can't beat that. Very cute spot with prints all over the walls. They do custom cakes & pies, and have a dessert bar right at the front. For such a small spot they do have quite a few tables inside and a couple outside as well. The drink I got was a mixed berry tea. It was quite flavorful and refreshing. The soup was wonderful. I love tomato soup/bisque, and this one was very good. The balsamic grilled cheese was okay. Wasn't very cheesy and really didn't have a lot of flavor, even with the balsamic addition. I got a mint chocolate brownie for dessert and it was yummy. Tasted just like those thin chocolate mints you get at different restaurants. My friend had the cherry cheesecake and she said it was very good. They appear to have daily specials and some of the "regular" sandwiches sound incredible so a return visit will be happening!

Delish sandwich and salad for me and kids for our first visit. I also took home a cookies & cream cheesecake that was delicious. Friendly staff during a busy time, and interesting though cozy dining area. We'll be back.

I have been here a couple of times and it never disappoints. There is so much flavor in everything they make here ... I feel like every sandwich, salad or bowl of soup is made with love. Today I had the Chicken Caprese and a side of cucumber tomato salad... and a strawberry lemonade to wash it all down. The place is cozy and clean and reminds me of a Parisian type cafe for some reason. The staff was very friendly and happily gave me free refills of the strawberry lemonade. I will definitely be back to try more delicious meals.

We love their Turkey and Brie on sourdough with the pear walnut salad. Always excellent :)

This café was a delightful surprise! The food was fresh and plentiful, the service friendly, and my food allergies were accommodated. When the soup we ordered was already gone, delicious substitutions were made without question. (We're going to return for our Mother's Day brunch with family! ) My husband had the half saucy-berry-grilled cheese, beer cheese soup. I had the half Brie-apple-turkey sandwich, with a strawberry-pecan salad. It was plenty of food and scrumptious. We're very glad we tried Brew-Bakers! Five star!

Wow. Let me tell you something amazing. Here is my story…read more So I had the pleasure of meeting owner / operator Sheryl through some mutual friends. I was looking for a cake for a special occasion and I was pointed in the direction of Sweets by Sheryll. Sheryll was very personable, bubbly, intrigued and very inviting on what I was looking for. She was able to give me a few ideas and options that would best fit what I was exactly looking for. Sheryll, through the whole process was very in tune with letting me know the price, time of completion and time to pick up the cake. I was never left wondering when the masterpiece would be completed. It was a very smooth process. Now let's get to the cake. The cake was exactly, no no it was beyond what I was expecting. The cake was moist, tasteful bite after bite, sweet but not over powering and the final result of the exterior of the cake was epic!! The cake looked so real, that no one wanted to eat it, lol. Once the first cut happened and tasted, you couldn't fill the plates fast enough. The cake was for a work event. We definitely know who we will be going to for our next dessert/cake. Well done Sheryll! You definitely have the talent and skill to make any occasion a special one.

I could sit here and tell you all of my favorite desserts, but then this review would turn into a novel. I will say that I leave there with at least two scrumptious cupcakes and several bars. Their 5 (or is it 6?) layer bar is outstanding and reminds me of the ones my Mom used to make for the holidays. It's like the one from the Eagle Condensed Milk can recipe, but so much better. I have…read moreloved Parlor Doughnuts very much so when I had to schedule an appointment instead of going downtown, I decided to go to Fleming Island because I could stop a Parlor Doughnuts. But it was an overall disappointment. I placed my order online and parked as I was parking. I saw two people walk in and by the time I got out of my car and inside one was with the lady at the espresso machine, and the other was waiting in line by the donuts since I had a pick up order, I went over there to try to pick it up, but the lady fiddling with the machine was the only one visible at the time and she was having a time with that machine. I think by the time the lady waiting got her drink. It was probably a good 10 minutes. Meanwhile, because I have physical issues I sat down to wait. In that time about six other people had come in. Now, suddenly another employee appears, and he pulls out a box for a pick up order and started walking into me and then when I said that's not me he then found one of the other people in line who it was for and she indicated she also wanted to go ahead and get a drink so he started helping her with that despite her being one of the last people to walk in the store. Meanwhile, the other lady finally finished the coffee for the first lady and began making this coffee for the second lady from the pick up order. Meanwhile, the gentleman goes over and skips me who was there first and just getting a pick up order that was already placed and start helping another lady in line when he finishes with her he goes to help another gentleman. Meanwhile, I'm sitting there and I'm just trying to get my order picked up that I had already placed long before any of these people appeared in store. So when I finally got my order, it was a good 20 minute wait in store. As for the food itself, I can't say I felt it was the normal expectations I had of Parlor Doughnuts. I ordered a turtle doughnut, a churro doughnut, and a cookies and cream doughnut for my family. Looks wise, they were OK except for mine. Mine was the turtle donut and sorely lacking on the nuts as you can see in the picture. The other ones looked appealing visually however it stopped right there. Whereas I'm normally accustomed to a crispy outside and a flaky interior. This doughnut had a brown exterior, but it wasn't very crispy and the interior was gummy. Very disappointing. So as far as the atmosphere on that regards, the restaurant is very charming. It's well located for its neighborhood. It's generally clean looking however the floors were very sticky.
