I'm consistently amazed by the friendly and attentive staff here at the Panera on Woodhaven Blvd. I frequent this location often for the free wifi (which could always be a lil stronger) and I find myself often impressed by the helpful and engaging staff here. Additionally I'm confident this is one cleanest chain establishments in our area. My compliments are not only aimed at management but also towards those behind the register and in the kitchen who seem to handle a tough job with a lot of grace. I love Panera's but this one is a bit of a disappointment. I use to go here a lot to study and to eat. I no longer come here because the environment is too distracting and the service is a bit lacking (though it could be better now, last I went, it had only open for about a month or so). It gets really noisy during most hours as nearby high school students trickle in. Worst part - most of these noisy, rowdy high school students are friends of employees here so they're all just loitering around and talking loudly about sex, school and how so and so heard that someone was "talking shit about them" and how they're going to "f them up" etc... The location attracts the oddest people too...while I think of this place as a cafe, only here for a quick meal and doing some work, I once saw an entire family not only eat dinner here (which isn't entirely that strange) but stayed for another two hours to play Uno (the-obnoxiously-noisy-as-if-was-at-home-kind-of-loud!!)!! uh.... Here is the main reason I won't come back - me and my fiance were sitting at one of the tables against the wall....and out of nowhere a ROACH crawls up on the wall!!!! AHHHHH!!! I lost my appetite and my confidence for the place. I know all restaurants have at least some degree of pests...but the place just opened!!! I loved the food but the roach was just at my eye level and I can't get that image out..... Also, their serving sizes for soups were really inconsistent when I went...the managers knew what they were doing, but some of the other servers were completely lost...one time, I just got half a bowl of soup! Who knows, maybe that problem is resolved by now...Oh yea, coffee isn't that great either...although it's free refills PS - this Panera leaves a bit to be desired, the one in LI is superb in terms of crowd and service. I didn't think I was going to finish & got the soup to treat a cold but I actually did end up finishing, to my surprise. This Panera recently opened and is one of the few in Queens. I have visited three times since opening. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The kitchen area and drink station has been clean and stocked. As for the food, the soups have been hot, the sandwiches grilled nicely and the salads fresh. I have not had bakery or breakfast products but may in the near future and will update accordingly. The seating area was clean and is ample enough for the lunch and dinner crowds. While parking in front is difficult, Panera shares the large parking lot with the Home Depot, Tiger Shullman's and soon to be Five Guys next door. read more

I gotta admit that I like Panera. Don't look down on me cuz of it. I like their sandwiches, soup, and salad combos, and they have my favorite hot beverage. One of which I can't find the same tasting anywhere else. Here's my faves: Turkey & Artichoke Panini - It's a good combo of flavors. Cream of chicken and wild rice - I haven't tried all their soups, but this one is always good. Sometimes the French onion can be salty. I think it happens when it sits there too long, warming and reducing itself. And my hot beverage of choice *drumroll* Chai Tea Latte. It's my drink of choice, but only from Panera. I've tried it at Starbucks and D&D and it's just not as good. Also the Asiago Roast Beef sandwich is good too. If I happen to wake up early enough (before 11 AM) on weekends, sometimes I get to treat myself to breakfast/brunch here. I like their Baked Egg Souffles, especially the Spinach & Artichoke souffle. It's light and fluffy and its kept piping hot! The customers at this location are a good mix. You have kids, adults, people on their laptops, and weird people talking to themselves. I've never had an issue with service nor any mistakes with my food. I usually take my food to go, but this is a regular place for me. Ordered through Panera's site for delivery, I was unaware they use door dash to deliver, the driver calls and says "I got a flat, you can cancel or come pick it up from me" he was supposedly close by so I go to pick it up, call the cell number he gives us and no answer, also no car in the general area with someone in it, after my girlfriend is on the phone for 30 minutes with door dash I decided to go to the Panera location and ask for a manager, what awesome staff there! This place is so disorganized it is not funny. I used the rapid pickup kiosk and it certainly is not rapid. Waited for my order and after my name was no longer on the list I asked the manager about my order. He came back with my order telling me it was at the regular pick up counter and didn't even give me a chance to check it. And I should have. Got home and it was half my order not the complete order. It was my first time coming here Sunday. It was really packed , but surprisingly enough seating there to accommodate everyone. The Sandwich that I had was good and fresh and the bread is baked by them as well. Kinda reminds me of subways, just fancier and more professional looking. But the Best part of the trip is the Soup !! . I loved their soup. I had the cheddar broccoli , and my gf had the french onion soup. Both was exquisite and delish!!! The soup was very campbell's-like (and not in an mm mm good way), the chicken salad sandwich was boring and the food was not necessarily cheap. This Panera is really nice. Very clean with ample seating and pleasant staff. The food is the same as other Paneras, no complaints. I am, however, disappointed that they now serve the eat-in food in disposable containers. The company has gotten much less eco friendly because of this, which sucks. The coffee here is good. I. LOVE. PANERA. This chain is so awesome. I love the fact that I feel like Im eating in someone's kitchen. The set up is nice. There's parking at this location. The food is great. My favorites are the Chipotle Chicken Panini, Broccoli Cheddar Soup and a Lemonade. That soup is probably my fav broccoli cheddar soup ever. That lemonade hits the spot in the summer time. The bread with the soup is YUM. I dont care for them calling me by my name when is my order is ready, but I guess its a nice personalized touch if they can say your name right lol. I love Panera and this one is great. I go a couple of times a month on Friday mornings to meet a group of friends. We stay there for 3 hours and all we ordered is a cup of coffee (which we refill ad nauseum) and a bagel, which btw are great and so different....some are french toast, apple strudel, cinnamon crunch, etc. I usually get hazelnut cream cheese and it is yummy! Sometimes we stay long enough and have lunch.....their soups are terrific, I recommend the tomato soup with the cheese croutons. They as well as the sandwiches, salads and specials are all made to order. They have a 2 fer special choice of a soup salad and sandwich (you pick any 2 combo) for $6. The restaurant is very well kept and clean. Don't forget to bring your laptop because they have FREE wi-fi! read more

Had the chance to go here for lunch yesterday and I ordered the 'You Pick Two' and got a turkey and cheese panini sandwich and the strawberry poppyseed salad. Both the sandwich and the salad were delicious. The panini was hot and bread was nice and toasted. The salad had tons of my favorite fruits: strawberries, blueberries, and even pineapples! The poppyseed salad dressing is delicious as well. So excited that I found a Panera's close by. My sister, cousin & I occasionally stop by this location to relax, gossip & eat -- we always order the same sandwiches & soups (I know, how boring!!).. frontega chicken sandwich is my sister's favorite -- served in foccacia with chipotle mayo mozarella, basil & tomatoes. I always order the asiago roast beef sandwich which consists of beef, smoked cheddar, horseradish sauce etc. The portions are big so we share the food & still manage to be full! My cousin is a fan of their soups -- whether it's the broccoli cheddar or the clam chowder, they are always served hot and tastes delicious!! Lattes are usually served in these humongous mugs with whipped cream, cinnamon -- and that first sip always hits the spot! I love this cafe because it is spacious, lots of booths available and the service is always consistent & fast. read more

I come to panera at least once a week after my appointments for the day. The cashiers are always so helpful and so nice. I haven't once had someone I could say didn't service me well or without a smile! I get my food quickly and in order every time. Yes I will say a few times my order was not 100% correct, but NO one is perfect and anything can be fixed. The few times my order hasn't came out right, JAY** the manager (usually there Tuesday's) is right there to fix any error. Let me tell you this and I hope panera doesn't take this lightly. I have been to many panera locations and because of this ONE individual he takes a franchise business and turned it into a 5 star restaurant. I just sat there and watched JAY*** greet and make sure everyone was ok. I have watched him go the extra mile to help people bring plates back to the tables and ask people if he would like them to take their dirty plate. He truly puts in the extra work to make sure everyone is completely satisfied. Like I said I come here and lot and I'm going to be honest I will travel the extra length to go to this location, because I know i will get the service everyone deserves when they're paying a pretty penny! read more

Panera bread never really disappoints me. I'm a big fan of the "pick 2" deal. I'll usually get half a sandwich and a bowl of soup. (If I'm really hungry I'll get the soup in a breadbowl too) They have seasonal sandwiches and soups, all which taste fresh and delicious. A new favorite of mine has been the macaroni and cheese, which is insanely rich and creamy, and a great addition to a meal, or amazing on it's own. They have tons of seating, their own parking, and it's a nice place to go whether on your own or part of a group. My only thing holding it back from five stars is it can be pricey at times. (A large mac and cheese, as delicious as it is, ran me about $8.00) Expect to spend roughly $10-15 per person, which is fine for dinner in my opinion, but I frequently visit panera for lunch. read more

Been here a few times, mostly for lunches with my friends who are in the area. I always seem to get the Pick 2 combo. Usually the Bacon Turkey Bravo and the Mac and Cheese. There are a lot of options to choose from of course but these are my go to's. Service is quick. We always have our food within 5 minutes of ordering. Lots of seats in the place as well so never an issue there. 4 stars only because the tables at times seem to be sticky. If only they would clean them a little more often but this is minor. Panera Bread, I would not compare it to Starbucks but the decor falls along the lines of it. There really isn't much to this place, the coffee is decent and food is standard, a bagel here and a soup there. Nothing spectacular but decent. I haven't brought my laptop there to try out the free WIFI but there tends to be a lot of people who sit around and work on their computers so I'm guessing it works. All and all a good place to go with your friends for a drink, I recommend the Jones Root Beer soda and the all wheat-oats bagel with cream cheese. read more
