How could anyone miss this floating in my chicken soup??
    Opal T.

Yeahhh so I'm not ordering from Panera anymore. Used to be so solid but quality is slipping. Last straw was tonight (5/5/25) when I ordered a last minute delivery. Upon opening my soup, there is a long hair right at the top, can't believe how anyone missed it. You'd think that was the worst part! After I settled with DoorDash for a refund, I called panera to just give them a heads up about it. But whoever answered the phone acted like I was inconveniencing THEM by calling about it. I wasn't rude but when he said "okay..." in a flippant manner, I asked why he couldn't at least apologize for any inconvenience. Then he mustered a "sure sure sorry" and hung up on me. Clearly food safety is NOT a priority here. Good thing I turned the light on before sipping my soup, otherwise I would've been choking on a someone's 16" hair.

Very poor experience getting an iced coffee Politely asked for some skim milk, and they proceed to put about a gallon of cream inside instead. I question this, and the manager insists that it's skim milk when it clearly isn't. So I pour the damn thing out, fill it up with 80% black coffee, and ask the person again to add a little bit of skim milk. So, he proceeds to put cream inside...... AGAIN. Out of frustration I just walked out and threw it away. Hopefully Panera is reading this So they can improve their customer service skills as well as the comprehension of their employees. Otherwise I just wasted $4

This is the "bowl" of Chicken Noodle Soup for $8.89...1/2 bowl for so much money...are they kidding? Unfortunately, not!

So...today...was a cold day in Hoboken, NJ...and wanted soup. I stopped in at Panera Bread on Washington Street, and was greeted by the cashier...friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I asked her about the sizes of soup available - she said there were two sizes...small and large. Ordered the large and in less than ten minutes, the order was ready...see the picture below. I could not believe that this was the "large chicken noodle soup" - it was like they forgot to fill it up OR they used too large of a bowl for a "large" soup. Anyway - find other restaurants to buy your soup - you will be a happy and warm customer...anywhere but not Panera Bread, Hoboken.

I can honestly say, I always have a positive experience at Panera. Quick , tasty and convenient. Yes it is a chain , but sometimes you need a dependable " go to ." I generally go for breakfast and get a coffee and the avocado egg sandwich. Can't go wrong !

Christ on a chopstick, I haven't seen an $8 sandwich since I was in grad school (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth)! We started with the Tamal Cubano, which was fantastically delicious, though the accompanying sauce wasn't hot at all. A shame, because it was well-flavored--just needed a lot more capsaicin. My Cubano was very well done, but barely had any pickle in it, which made me sad. I opted to add fries and wasn't sad about the small, thin ones I got (very McDonald's-shaped). However, the Pechuga de Pollo Adobada con Escabeche de Calabaza was a disappointment. The grilled chicken was drastically overcooked, probably because they used really lean breast meat. The accompanying Caribbean pumpkin was interesting, but too small. The other side of rice and beans was perfect, though--great bean texture and lots of savory flavor. With tax and tip included, our meal came out to $33. $33! You can't even get lunch for one person for that price at 90% of Manhattan restaurants south of Central Park. I could've cried with wonder at the bill. Time travel is real guys--at least financially. Just hop into El DeLorean and come to Chango.

Since my last visit, I had only ventured there once for a drink, but it had been far from a first choice. I loved that they had live music and a casual vibe, but my past culinary experience had been a letdown. However, I was very pleasantly surprised on my recent excursion. We grabbed seats at the rustic bar and enjoyed friendly service and pints of Kane Head High, my favorite beer. The crisp, refreshing brew went well with my cup of Chicken Noodle Soup. While that might sound like an odd "snack", I selected it because it was one of the few appetizers on the menu that was not fried. The broth seemed to interestingly be made of tomatoes and potentially other vegetables. It was packed with large, spiral noodles, shredded chicken, and fresh spinach. It was an interesting rendition for sure, but it was also very tasty, despite the fact that it was rather greasy. I was also bummed that it did not have more chicken and that it had not been served with any crackers. Oh well! Overall, it at least had left me with a much better impression than my last trip had.
