We've always enjoyed Wonder Bagels and their food when ordering in person -- it's consistently delicious. However, this was our first time ordering pickup, and our first experience at this particular Wonder Bagels location. Unfortunately, it was a total disappointment. When we picked up our order, everything was thrown together in one large plastic shopping bag -- not even a Wonder Bagels bag -- with items scattered and unorganized. Our half dozen bagels weren't packaged separately, and the sandwiches weren't labeled, so we couldn't tell which was which. None of our requested condiments were included. When it came time to eat, we were set for more disappointment: The "Fluffy" 3-egg omelette was overcooked and missing toast. The home fries were not as pictured -- they were uneven chunks of potato, some undercooked. The "Basic Becky" was dry and missing avocado. The Reuben sandwich was dry and missing both sauerkraut and Russian dressing. (How does one even mess up a Reuben?) You might ask why we didn't take it back -- but it was a busy Sunday morning in JC Heights, and just finding parking was a hassle. Sadly, this experience was enough for us to say: never ordering online from this location again.

Great service. The best bagels in the city. And a very spacious spot to either dine in or take out. The bagels are the best bagels I ever had. A wide range of selection to pick from.

Definitely not a plain whole wheat bagel

I honestly love the quality of their bagels when they're right. However, they will get your order wrong 95% of the time. I've ordered on Uber eats about 6 times and every single time it has been wrong. I definitely will not be ordering from here again. Today I even called to ensure that they have my order correctly for Uber to pick up. Tell me how it's still wrong? I don't understand who they have working there, but they clearly do not read the directions clearly. Edit: yes, even in person they will get your order wrong. I called once about an issue with the order and I was told if I ordered it in person they would be sure there was no errors. Needless to say, there was still errors the next time I went in person. Pretty simple orders too. I could understand if it's something complicated but it's really not.

30 minutes before close and escorted out? I just wanted a water...the franchise owners I know would not be happy.

PLEASE LOOK AT THE TIME!!!!!! Walked in at 2:20, no cold salads, sandwiches, bagels...NOTHING. I was told they were closed, I know the owners of this franchise and know they would NEVER turn a customer away 30 MINUTES BEFORE CLOSE. Wasn't even offered the chance to buy a water.

Fresh baked bagels every morning. No matter how you take the bagel, I would put it up against any other place. Freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee ice cubes with your cold brew. Family operated in a warm, clean atmosphere. Get there asap.

I have been hearing about this place and how the bagels are great. I went for lunch and didn't want to fall asleep at my desk, so didn't get a bagel and instead opted for the Buffalo chicken wrap in a spinach wrap. It was $10 and pretty small. There was barely any chicken in it but it did taste great! I just wish they had filled it up a bit more for the cost.

Here 3x's probably in May 2023. The counter workers (owners?) were ALWAYS super nice & I always received my lunches pretty fast. The bagels are good; I wouldn't depict them as fantastic, though. The best sandwich I had was the chicken salad. Again though it was the bed of the three I can't say it was extraordinarily good. The first toasted everything bagel sandwich I had which was the scallion cream cheese was definitely disappointing as it was pretty flavorless. I can't remember what the second toasted everything bagel sandwich I got (obviously I prefer everything bagels lol). I just recall I was a little more impressed with it than my first one. Thought I really prefer eating organic stuff which is better not just for human health but the environment cause I love bagels and as I already mentioned the counter people were very kind (always) I feel this shop should get if nothing else 3 stars.

The inside is nice and bright so it offers a great start to your morning. Also, the wifi is pretty good so no issues from a work perspective. I ordered an avocado toast along with a cold brew. This has somewhat been a routine of mine since moving here and I haven't really been disappointed anywhere I've gone. This was no different. Loved the picked onion addition too. Now - the pricing is not necessarily breakfast pricing. Expect to spend around $20 for both a breakfast item and coffee like I did. But if you have the means to do so, then you might as well.

The server asked if it was alive or dead when I found them. I told him it was dead and looked steamed....like it matters... Long story short I asked for refund but they said they have to ask their manager who's not coming back that day since it is holiday and I would need to wait until next day for refund so I end up getting a cheesecake instead. The cheesecake tasted little sour so initially I thought it went bad. Also it tasted like it's been sitting in the fridge for a long time. You know when you taste fridge smell from the food. I lost sanitation of their food and will not recommend it to anyone

The ambience is fantastic, the service is great, and the food is eclectic and delicious. From the moment you walk in, the cozy atmosphere stands out--enhanced by unique artwork, including an eye-catching piece on the ceiling. The menu offers plenty of creative options. We tried the Grilled Shrimp with Thai-inspired salad, the Croissant French Toast, and the Semolina Zucchini Fries. Each dish felt fresh, inventive, and flavorful. For drinks, we went with the non-alcoholic Rose and Peach Please, both of which were refreshing. I also had a cappuccino afterward--while it didn't come with latte art, the taste and strength of the coffee were spot on. On our return visit, we tried the chicken sandiwch, and the pomegranate hummus. The chicken was juicy and the hummus was delcious. We finally had the opportunity to do so on a quiet Easter Sunday. First, the interior looks pretty amazing. A lot of history behind all the architecture and they did a good job preserving it. Because it was raining and chilly, we couldn't see the rooftop, but I can see the appeal. To start, we got an assortment of small muffins for the table. That was a nice touch. They were good too. For brunch, we each ordered omelettes. I got the Jalapeño & Cheddar while my fiancée got the mushroom and spinach omelette. We ended up complementing the items quite well. I did end up enjoying her omelette well. The vegetables were definitely fresh and cooked quite well. My omelette was nice and cheesy, how I like it. The jalapeños didn't have a crazy kick, but enough to satisfy. The potatoes were good too. There's no real coffee menu here (which is a slight miss), but I did enjoy the freshly squeezed orange juice as a nice change. I will be back.

We both ordered brunch, I had the Caesar salad club sandwich with skinny French fries, which happen to be my favorite kind of fries, and they did not disappoint. My date ordered the brunch burrito with home fries, and he really enjoyed it. We started with espresso martinis, which were a fun and tasty way to kick off the day. I later ordered a cider that was delicious and pleasantly unexpected, it wasn't sweet like a typical cider but more dry and wine-like, which I loved. He followed up with a couple of beers after the martinis. The staff was friendly, conversational, and very helpful when it came to deciding what drinks to order. Overall, Skinner's Loft is a great spot to grab a quick drink or enjoy brunch with a partner or friend. I'd definitely recommend this bar/restaurant to anyone in the Grove Street, Jersey City area. 10/10 recommendation.
