I called the delivery girl to help navigate her to where I was working at Carthage & when she finally saw me, she pulled over screaming & swearing at me. This must be the nastiest Panera I've ever been to. I was there yesterday and ordered take out. Well, at 5:00 pm they didn't have bread bowl for the soup. I ordered a whole fresh French Baguette and it was as hard as rock. When I complained I was told it was made at 9:00 am. No bread and old hard bread in a "Panera" - literally bread bakery? Good food, friendly staff. The atmosphere is cozy until about lunch hour, which is understandable I guess. I came in for an early lunch and to get some work done on my computer, unfortunately I had to leave soon as I finished my meal as it was very noisy and crowded. I ordered two bagels toasted and two not toasted. They were all toasted when I received them. That's fine, but they were very dark and as someone who doesn't like toasted bagels, I wasn't exactly happy. However, that is a minor mistake. I was mostly unhappy about the $5 drinks I ordered. They were tiny and the pictures showed a large drink. There was no size option on the kiosk. I assumed I would be receiving the size in the picture but I did not. I could get the same drink at Starbucks for less money and the one at panera tastes like nail polish. Not to mention we waited almost 10 minutes for 4 bagels and 2 drinks. What a nice Panera!! This place must be newly renovated, and boy it is nice. I would say that the menu that's posted above the registers is much more difficult to figure out if someone is new to Panera's menu. They have a ton of card stock menus printed out in stands right by the doors, which allow you to see what's all in each item. We were in there around 12:15pm on a Saturday and it was really busy. We circled around the place trying to find a spot for three and had no luck. We found ourselves seated at a high table with barstools in a high traffic area that's right next to where all the food comes out. It wasn't super ideal, and luckily right after that we were able to move to a different table when a larger group left. Overall, the food was good as usual. This Panera location has been slipping for quite some time now. It's a total toss up every day as to weather or not there will be Drive Thru service or curb side pick up available and if there is, things will progress at a snails speed. I understand there are staffing issues, supply chain shortages and other challenges these days in age but these issues combined with Panera's increasingly shrinking portions and price hikes are convincing me to look for breakfast or lunch elsewhere. The last time we ordered it took almost 30 minutes for a choose two and an additional cup of soup. Employees were sluggishly pacing about behind the counter, no Ipads for ordering where in service and things overall seemed unkept and chaotic. The person in front of me ordered one cookie and they were pushed aside to wait where they ended up having to ask again for it after nearly ten minutes. So I can only speak to my interaction about 20-30 mins ago. Stopped into the Panera in Pleasant Prairie, and asked to have the green goddess salad made gluten free. Basically a woman came on the drive thru speaker and said they had no way to know what's gluten free. I said can you give me the basics of the salad, no chicken and swap out the dressing for a couple of slices of lemon. They don't have lemons I was told. So I have not had this experience at the other local Panera's by me in the chicagoland area, nor in my travels. Have normally been in able to rely on this company. They advised me that they did not have any avocado. This was a Monday at the lunch hour! I ended up getting something else but was very disappointed. Extremely disappointed in the customer service at Panera Bread. In March we placed a digital pick up order for the Panera in Kenosha. My husband picked it up and brought it home and we live 25 minutes away. When he opened the bag, my broccoli and cheddar bread bowl was missing. My husband called right away and the woman said she would make a note of it and that we could come back sometime to get our bread bowl. We do not go to Panera on a regular basis because it is not close to our house. We went today and ordered 2 drinks and I asked for our free bread bowl. We waited 30 minutes in the drive through. When we pulled to the window, the manager, Jessica, asked for more information and I explained. She said they had no record and she was unwilling to accommodate us. She asked if we wanted a coupon; no, I want the food I paid for preciously and did not receive. I asked her why she could not give us the bread bowl and she said there was no record. I don't think it would be that hard to honor this small request also considering we waited half an hour in the drive through. When we got home I called because my husband found the receipt. I'm not sure how that really matters since it does not prove we did not get our food as ordered. I also expressed that we waited half an hour not for our two drinks. It for that. Instead of taking the opportunity to apologize for the way Jessica handled things at the drive through from a customer service perspective, all that she said was they are working at decreasing their wait times at the drive through. End result, an unhappy costumer who will not be going back to the location after getting my free bread bowl. read more

I usually have great experiences at every Panera I visit. For whatever reason, this location seems to operate at a level of subpar common sense. I just picked up a rapid delivery order of several different pastries for a houseful of guests. I got home, opened the bag, expected to see the pastries all neat and packaged individually as they always have been at literally every other location at which I've placed this exact order. Waited in the drive thru for 30 minutes today and got the wrong food. Drove back went inside to get the correct food. Then AGAIN the sandwich I ordered was made incorrectly with the completely wrong bread even though they admitted to having the correct bread for the toasted steak and white cheddar. When I went back in the second time two of the three employees seen me and hurried into the back like they didnt want to help anyone. Finally I asked for a refund and that took 10 minutes. This Kenosha WI location is terrible. The food is not fresh, they are always out of something on their menu, the iced tea always tastes old and watered down, the drive thru is always closed and you sit and wait for 30 45 and even over 60 minutes for your food on a regular basis. Stay away from the Kenosha Panera bread especially if you don't have a lot of time. I spent over an hour trying to get food today and ended up not eating because I was so aggravated. In Phoenix, we don't have Panera and I have heard people RAVE about this place! So I decided to come here for lunch while visiting my friend in Wisconsin. I'm pretty sure it is the same company that does Paradise Bakery by us in Phoenix. It was super busy because it was lunchtime. I ordered a chipotle chicken sandwich and chicken noodle soup.
