First time here this place was really nice. I wish I would've taken more pictures inside. Super cute and cozy. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was perfect, nice and light. Plenty of sitting area whether is a table, a booth or a bench just different sections, which makes the entire restaurant more likable and interesting. The food was really tasty and fresh. Love my eggs with the jalapeños inside and it tastes so good and light no overly butter flavor. It was just so good. The fruit bowl was definitely good. The melon was fresh and juicy. The grapes were crunchy bites. The strawberry was good and fresh as well. Loved the entire experience definitely will come back.

Crispy-Crunchy French Toast

I really dislike going to a co-workers going away lunch as they will certainly be missed. The only positive about attending is discovering a really good restaurant. Mad Rooster Cafe is a nice location that serves, Breakfast, brunch or lunch. They open 7am and close everyday at 3pm. We walked in around 11:45 am and requested seating for 7 and we were seated immediately. We received menus and water immediately. The server was really nice. There is so many different options to choose from and I was in the mood for French Toast and decided to order the Crisp-Crunchy Cinnamon. It is prepared with cornflakes and grilled with sliced banana topping with powdered sugar and a cinnamon sugar mix and whipped cream. It definitely was crispy and I tasted the cinnamon but wish it had some more but it was still good. Would I order it again, "yes" but I'd go and try other things first and rank. Before my food came, I went to wash my hands and on my way back I noticed they had a Cream of Poblano Pepper soup. I asked if there was meat in the soup and they said no. And offered a little sample. Yum!!!! And good taste of pablano and topped with roasted corn. I'd order a full one next time. Overall, the rest of the group food looked amazing. Definitely a repeat restaurant. Hopefully for an anniversary vs a going away lunch.

Breakfast Tacos

Came here for breakfast and everything was really good. I got the breakfast tacos, hot chocolate, and a yogurt parfait - all of it hit the spot. The tacos had great flavor, the hot chocolate was rich, and the parfait was fresh with a nice mix of fruit and granola. On another visit, I tried the continental breakfast, the crepe, and the fruit bowl - everything looked amazing and tasted just as good. The pancakes were fluffy, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the crepe with banana and chocolate was a solid pick. The fruit bowl was super fresh and colorful too. The place has a good vibe and the staff was friendly as always. Definitely one of my go-to breakfast spots!

My book club & I met here for a meeting and the food & the service were great! When we arrived we were told there would be about a 15 minute wait. Unfortunately we ended up waiting over 45 minutes I think there was a mix up with another big group they seated not too sure. Because we were meeting for book club & our time was limited this caused a couple of the ladies to have to skip out on eating and/or leave early. That was the only reason our experience wasn't 5 stars. The menu variety was enormous and every single thing we ordered came out fresh and delicious our server was Juan and he was very attentive and helpful. I would definitely return

This restaurant is an amazing location! I have been going since they opened, however the only negative is the high prices on their dishes. Yes, they have a great selection. Yes, they have very high quality food. Yes, they serve you quickly and efficiently. However, they do charge accordingly for these services. $19 Bloody Mary, $12 Hot Chocolate, $17 Biscuits and Gravy. $18 Specialty Egg Dishes. You can easily expect to pay $130 - $150 for a family of four (including the tip) It's a lot to spend on a breakfast with the family, so be prepared to shell out a large amount of money for everyone to eat in the morning. The Mad Rooster is a great place to eat at... once in a while, but definitely not a regular place for breakfast like your corner diner. Their staff is amazing, and wonderfully efficient. As well as extremely pleasant, friendly, and welcoming. I have not once had a bad experience here. They are constantly consistent, and always hustling to turn tables and make sure everyone is happy and satisfied. This is their superpower, and they do it very well! If you prefer impeccable service and amazing food, and can afford to shell out the cash to enjoy a really delicious meal, then absolutely try the Mad Rooster.

My spouse and I went to the Mad Rooster for an Easter breakfast. We wanted to praise Lexi for her exceptional service. Lexi was very kind, checked on us frequently and anticipated our needs, including having perfect timing on an additional to go order, ensuring it corresponded with our departure. Excellent service overall. Additionally, we tried the corned beef hash for the first time and were very pleased with it.

From Chicago, first time at Mad Rooster today for brunch. Here are some thoughts: --Do yourself a favor and make online reservations. This place was PACKED at 11am on a Saturday. --Waitress was VERY good, helpful and friendly, even though she had a lot of tables. --I ordered the traditional breakfast. Eggs weren't cooked enough for me, but personal preference thing. --Highlight was the bacon. It was thick cut and delicious. My wife is a bacon connoisseur and she LOVED it. --I saw mixed reviews on the red potatoes, but I ordered them and was not disappointed : ) Recommended.

Went here on a Sunday morning for brunch and absolutely loved it! They have an incredible array of options: sweet, savory, classic, crafty and healthy. I ordered the Hot Cider Cocktail, which was perfectly spiced and warmed you from the inside out. The topping of cranberries was a pretty touch, although I personally didn't need that many of them. The Berry Powered Steel Cut Oatmeal was generously sized, and although served warm instead of hot, it was very tasty and filling. Especially after adding all the fresh sides! We did not have a reservation, and were lucky to get a table, considering how quickly this place fills up. This is a great place for families, with something for everyone.

Kid's fruit tacos

4.5 stars . Friendly service, though our waitress was a bit forgetful. big menu with lots of variety and latin-inspired options. Kid's menu items are generous in size. The fruit tacos are a cute idea - two big pancakes folded over Nutella and berries. Good coffee too. There are nice comfy booths. The only miss was I when the hostess tried to seat us at a table being blocked by a server in the middle of serving several large plates - that just didn't make sense given how many other open tables there were at the time. This location doesn't have a big tractor right at the restaurant entrance for kids to sit on like the original location does (there is one at the edge of the parking lot by the road, doesnt have quite the same desirability).

Guiltless omelette

I would probably go 3.5 but I'll round up, had easy online ordering and friendly service upon pickup. I ordered the egg white healthy omelette and subbed chicken sausage for mushrooms (for an up charge) with potatoes and a biscuit. The omelette was HUGE so great portion for the price. On par for what I expected. The potatoes were mostly nice and crispy, super tasty but really oily so I did blot them a bit with a napkin. The biscuit fell short, it was kinda dry and gummy, the jam helped but wouldn't get one again. Overall, for the price I felt it was worth it. Just would swap maybe try a different carb next time.

This diner is right off of highway 94 in Kenosha. We came in on a holiday and were seated right away. The service was very nice and quick. My husband and I both had the chilaquiles rojo. I ordered it with chicken chorizo and he had it with the steak. It was a very tasty meal. There was so much chorizo on my plate! The breakfast potatoes are delicious as well. I appreciate that there were crayons for kids as well as a kids' menu. Unfortunately the coffee is just mediocre.

Coffee my favorite

Service is good coffee is good everything is good but, last Saturday they forgot my feta cheese in my egg whites waiter make it up putting cheese on the side just service itself make want to come back

My second time here and so pleased with it. I got the Lad Nar without really reading what it was…read morebased on a recommendation. It was saucier and with less noodles than I am accustomed to with a decent amount of veggies. I ordered it spicy and the first bite made me cough lol. I got what I asked for. I'll try the medium next time but I made my way through the entire dish, sauce and all and it was delicious. The spring rolls left something to be desired. It was still a tasty option with the condiment provided. The spring roll on its own would have been too bland for me without the sauce. I would order it again though as a nice vegetarian option with it only having cabbage. I definitely look forward to the next visit and further making my way through their delicious menu. See you again soon!

Has the group of long time locals complaining about crap like most of these places do. The prices are pretty good on most things. A pretty classic old style looking type of diner. It has seats around the middle area, plus the booths and tables. They have breakfast and lunch menus, and there's quite a lot to choose from whichever. Besides the American food, they also have Thai food. The bad thing is it's not really authentic though. Lacks spices. These items have been Americanized for boring palates unfortunately. It's about $12 for an entree. These come with a protein choice such as beef, chicken, or tofu. For sure these aren't authentic. The first one we got was very bland, so instead we got the Pad Thai. Much better. The spicier the better it seems. Go here if wanting a classic diner experience. It's unique in that it also has Thai food. These may not be authentic, but at least there's some choices for vegetarians.
