As a company, Panera is our favorite! However I cannot fathom how the Little Rock location has stayed open so long. When they get a horrible review, they somehow snap to for a week or month, then employees go back to their apathetic ways. We enjoy Panera and was my husband's favorite when he was a bachelor. So we have had Panera in several states. The Panera on Kanis needs some improvements. Good was warm and acceptable but the store smelled Smokey like they were burning something in oven or on stove. Food was okay but overall store looked like it needs some updating. Staff was nice but short staffed. Squash soup with baguette was not good, had cinnamon in it and it was odd. Really not good. Salad was just okay. Had better soups and salads before. Sandwich was good. Broccoli soup has been out favorite. read more

Service here is a lot better than a few bad reviews. I'm there almost every morning. I generally order pastries or breakfast but have had no issues and Dee at the front is always helpful. Several employees are long time either here or another store. read more

We bought six sesame bagels and two pecan twists to go, and once home we discovered the bagels were much harder and tougher to chew than bagels baked that morning. The twists were not fresh either. To their credit, his has never happened before at any Panara stores. read more

TWO cucumber slices, the peppers that made the sandwich hardly identifiable. Won't make it in this market. Too many places STACK ingredients on a $10 sandwich. Panera is now way overpriced for what they provide. The salads are half the size they used to be, and still the same price! I was starving a few hours later. Placed a mobile order to make it quick and it was ready in 2 mins - indeed quick! Then I drove away with my order only to realize why it was so quick. My wife and I stopped in to grab some dinner. Neither of us were happy about the food. I had a chicken bacon ranch sandwich. The bread was hard and the chicken was cold. My wife had the salad and and half sandwich. The salad looked like the leaves were taken from the head of lettuce, and not cut into smaller pieces. We both had coffee, and it was at best slightly warm. While we were eating, the manager was busy betting on football games. First of all, if you find any other tolerable dining establishment, GO there instead. Our food took 30 minutes to get out and when we got it, it was wrong, plus the coffee drinks we ordered never came out. So we reordered the messed up item and it took another 30 minutes to come out and when it did, it had a hair in it. Also, this was 1:30 at Panera, and we took the last bread bowl. Awesome lunch. My friends suggested we have lunch here today. I was ok but not thrilled. I haven't been to Panera in a long time ---especially since the one I used to frequent on Cantrell closed. I walked in to this location for lunch today expecting a less than experience. Happy to report that wasn't the case and I attribute most of this to BRUCE the asst manager. He was on TOP of things. The chicken Mediterranean bowl has rice in the bottom that was only partially cooked. Seems at a bread place you would have warm fresh bread not hard day old. The poppy seed chicken salad was very good. The first impression was the area outside. I have a picture. My turkey club had 2 very thin slices of turkey and two very thin slices of bacon. I don't even know where to begin. But we'll start by the girl at the counter who was completely distracted by talking about tattoos and how she's terrified to get another one cause she doesn't want the artist to cough on her and get her sick. I had to look at the POS to get my total because she was so distracted, and even distracted to the point where she ignored me saying to-go. Fast forward to getting a soda, and I told the same girl who rung me up that the Mountain Dew was out. She simply gave me the answer, "We'll change it tonight," and walked away. My buzzer went off to alert me that my food was ready, but it was served on a for-here plate. I spoke up and said that it was supposed to be to-go, and the line cook rolled his eyes. His response was, "well, that was the /last/ bread bowl in the /whole/ store." I asked if he could pack it up to go. "Well, it's going to get soggy because we /usually/ pack it separately. I guess I can try and see what I can do." He turned away before shoving a bag back at me over the counter, containing my food. Icing on the cake, my spoon was...not something I would eat my soup with. It looked like it was scraped out of the bottom of the barrel. Especially with the whole COVID thing? C'mon, Panera. It was packed decently, and I have no complaints about that, but it's really the customer service that made this location completely unfavorable. We don't have a Panera Bread back home and I was hoping it would be a bit of a treat but...no. Absolute worst experience I have had here. My husband waited for 40 minutes in line whenever they had our food ready the entire time and said they didn't receive the order. I called to see if there was anything they could do and I got hung up on by the manager the first time and I called back to speak with the general manager and she did the same thing. They also both called me a liar and told me he wasn't there for 40 minutes when I have time stamps to prove it. Rudest staff I have ever dealt with. Definitely don't know how food service works and they need to get it together. I work in fast food and this is definitely not how we treat our customer. Thought it might be for self service, but ended up having to go ask for it. Even then, employee seemed put out about it. She also rolled her eyes when my daughter asked for a straw. Honestly, terrible. Worst experience I've ever had. Me and my father went to this place and we were hoping to have a normal lunch, the lady who took our order was very kind. But then after waiting for almost AN HOUR for two small things we asked the lady making the food politely just if our food was getting ready and she said she would start right now. This easily might be one of the worst Panera restaurants in the country. Everyday they run out of bagels with no effort to anticipate their crowd size. A place that is known for bagels is sold out of bagels at 9:30 am. The staff's attitude is essentially equivalent to a lazy McDonald's employee stating that the frostee machine is broken at 2 am. I one time witnessed one employee in the front of the store (5 ft from the entrance) on a personal phone call yelling a slew of profanities so artistic that HBO would even consider censoring. My order is more often wrong than right. I had an instance where they completely forgot to even give me my credit card back in the drive thru. They don't care and it shows. I can only pray the Starbucks next door wipes them from existence leaving only their inadequate bagel slicing machine behind to be taken over by a Newks or Einstein's bagels. read more
