Second time here today. Came about 10:30 but was able to get a salad. This by far is the best panera! Nicest people salad was awesome and plenty of chicken, fresh and delicious too! Workers are always top notch and friendly. Spotless dining area and bathrooms. I've eaten at Paneras all the way to the West coast and they sucked! This one rules! I was dining alone with my 1-year-old, which can be a bit of a challenge, but they made the experience so much easier and more enjoyable. They were both incredibly kind, helpful, attentive, and helping me with everything from getting settled to making sure we had what we needed. Their thoughtful service really made a difference and turned what could've been a stressful outing into a great one. I don't know how these people have an A for sanitation. We went through the drive through and saw a worker stuffing her face with a sandwich and then proceeded to put it on the counter where customers food is made. While she had the other half in her hand she was completing drink orders. Gross much. They also forgot part of our order that we were charged for. By the time we noticed we were already on the highway and couldn't turn around. We tried calling and no one answered. Don't recommend this location. Looks like the health inspector needs to recheck this location. read more

Wife and I stopped in for a quick bite for breakfast heading to Hilton Head. I had the spinach and bacon quiche she had everything bagel. The quiche was ok the egg just doesn't seem to cook rite it's mushy and the bacon that was on top had a bad taste. I ordered a bagel for pick up and watched the progress on the screen. They said it was ready on the screen, but there was nothing on the counter ready for pick up. I then watched a staff member take the bagel I ordered from the *display counter* and sliced and toasted *after* it was supposed to be ready. The apple that came with my salad was mushy. I'm on a road trip so I don't have time to complain to the manager for a refund. To the staff, we're not idiots. We can plainly see what you do. Do better, please. read more

Plenty of parking, super friendly and helpful staff, and the food was good as usual! We took our food at a table and it's so nice to eat "fast," fresh food on real dishes with metal flatware (no plastic). Staff wear masks and the door asks guests to wear masks too :) read more

We are fans of Panera. We especially like their breads and my husband enjoys the Frontega Chicken sandwich. On our road trip we stopped at this Panera, located right off of I-95. Loved the social distancing guides on the floor, the required masks and that the tables were spaced. We ordered half frontega chicken and a egg, cheese and sausage sandwich and a coffee. The frontega chicken as always was good. My egg sandwich was a little bland, nothing a little salt could not fix. I usually do not like outside coffee but Panera coffee is ok, as long as it is hot and fresh and this was. Service was great. The gentleman that took our order was friendly. I even mentioned that I missed by one day my birthday free cookie and he gave me a chipper, awesome. Great service and good food. read more

This sandwich was delicious. I don't know of anywhere else you can order something this healthy, fresh and good from a drive through. I'm so glad the lady taking my order had patience. I was so indecisive with all the different choices to choose from. Most drive-throughs I will only eat a few options on the menu but I could eat everything on this menu. The soups, sandwiches, breads, and cookies are all good. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the fruit drinks because Im a typical southern girl that loves the sugar baby. read more

7.50 for a bowl of classic chicken noodle soup. I received a bowl of broth with a few noodles, a couple of carrots and a piece and a half of chicken. Broth was tasty anyway I went through the drive thru, and found the so called soup lacking when I got home. The bread looked like it was torn apart by hand and it was just tossed in the bag..can you at least cut it and wrap a napkin around it or something. I did no go back and complain, which of course I should have. A prior visit for two meditteranean bowls at this location was fine, both were good and contained a decent amount of food. So I bumped this up to 3 stars. instead of 1.. I know, I prob write more complaints than praise, but that's what drives many people.. if you don't check the food your sending out, you don't deserve too much praise. Went here to pick up some kid meals. It seemed clean and efficient. They were very busy at the drive through and take out orders- people were eating. Etc My food was still made pretty quickly and efficiently. Had kids' grilled cheese and they were very tasty my kids gobbled them up. Not burnt. Pretty nicely cooked. Stopped in after a soccer game in the area and was very happy with my visit. I ordered a half sandwich and the staff was courteous and friendly. My order was right and delicious. I always forget to change the bread on my sandwich as I usually don't like the one that comes with it but at this location it seemed more fresh than other times. Maybe I just got lucky. read more

We got a pickup order. Usually food is great but I got a grilled cheese and that was all. It was 8 bucks and it was a cheddar cheese sandwich. The bread wasn't toasted no butter and the cheese wasn't melted. I had to actually grill it when we got home. Very disappointing read more

Ordered a bearclaw but ate it before I could get a picture. It was delicious. I would've given 4 stars but they didn't have Pecan Braids which are my favorite. And it's pretty cold inside, like somewhere in the 60s cold. I'll come back and give the other star when they have Pecan Braids. read more

I've always gotten great food from this location whenever I'm in the area. However over two weeks ago I was in town and ordered a salad with grapes. They were out out of grapes, so I called and politely asked for a refund of the up charge for the grapes because I ordered online and was not aware they did not have any. The young lady I spoke with offered to mail me a coupon for a free take two instead of a credit or a refund. So of course I said great and gave my address to the young lady as she requested and I have yet to receive my coupon. I honestly feel that it was never mailed. #panera read more

I'm not sure how you mess up mac and cheese in a bag but they sure did it. it was SOUR. got a sandwich that was missing half the ingredients requested and literal first bite had bone in the chicken. staff had an attitude when asked questions. just wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

When I went to the register to order my food. The girl working at the register interrupted me 3 times to yell at someone at the back about something to do with tea. She never excused herself or apologized. She never asked if I had an account with them before giving me my total. Then when I get my food, the sandwich is borderline burnt. The ends of the sandwich tasted burnt and the whole sandwich was so hard that it hurt my mouth to try to chew it. I am very unhappy with my visit. I am Panera regular but this particular one is very disappointing. read more

They were very busy the day after Christmas. We ordered via the app, and it took about 20 minutes to receive our order. We didn't receive our ordered fruit cups as they ran out between the time we ordered and received our food. However, we were gladly offered replacement items for the cost of the fruit cup upgrade. Something always missing in my order the 3 times that I ordered online. I spoke with Nicole today and I can come back to get Something replaced. But I like the idea of getting it right the first time as I'm trying to be as efficient as possible when taking my lunch break. One time it was missing salad dressing. Today it was avocado. The other time it didn't have utensils and they added bread when I said no bread. I don't have much self control when it comes to carbs so I put that as a negative. It has now been 165 days since I wrote Panera Bread about my bad experience. They promised they would pass along my complaint to the franchise operator. I am still waiting to hear from that operator. I don't know whether it's just me they hold in contempt, or all their customers. Since I probably will never return to Lumberton, NC, I guess it's safe to ignore me but I am in Baltimore and Annapolis almost every day, and they both have Panera Bread franchises, and I have not gone into ANY Panera bread in 165 days. I would think reaching out, making a gesture that my concerns have been listened to, would not take much effort on their part but I guess the people who operate this restaurant do not care that their efforts reflect badly on all franchise locations. Upscale casual dining seems like it's a crowded category, and I notice operators in the category take pains to stand out. What a shame this restaurant has decided to stand out by providing a bad experience. When they go out of business--and it's inevitable they will--perhaps they will blame the presence of the Zaxby's nearby or "the economy." I am here to point out that it will be the cumulative contempt for their customers that will drive them out of business. And their response? Thanks so much for reaching back out. It looks like the cafe you visited was not a franchise, it was one of our corporate owned cafes. My fiance & I passing through headed home from FL and we stopped at Walmart & saw this Panera bread almost shared the same parking lot so we decided to walk out of convenience. There is a reason this is ONLY rated 3 stars... I would like to start with the positive...the staff was great. Very knowledgeable, friendly and worked together as a team. They definitely followed suggested Covid-19 safety precautions so great job...I believe the issue to this location is management and here is why... I ordered the Smokehouse Chicken Melt Sandwich & Autumn Squash soup & he ordered the Chipolte Bacon Melt... My sandwich had almost half the amount of meat shown in picture and no vidalia onion (which is the reason I ordered it) and his had about half the meat as in picture and instead of on Texas toast like the picture it was served on whole wheat bread. We arrived at 5:30pm (dinner just started) and they were out of Autumn squash soup, out of baguettes, apparently just ran out of Texas toast and had very little Vidalia onion left. They were understaffed by at least 2 people because we waited almost 25 minutes for 2 sandwiches & soup. I heard the very nice gentleman who was expediting apologize to every order for running out of stuff & apologizing for the long wait! Not what you would typically expect from Panera. Alfredo was too salty and French bread was stale. Not sure if they were understaff because though it was not busy there was still a wait. It was faster to order off the kiosk. Tables were not wiped down. Friendly staff, but perhaps our experience would have been better if there were more staff and better attention to taste of food. read more

This Panera was very clean and the staff was super friendly, especially Susan! They were out of my favorite cookie, the kitchen sink. This is a common occurrence based upon my experience. Been to many many Panera locations in multiple states and this by far was the nicest. Fresh carpet and decorations and banquettes made the experience very welcoming. The food came out fast and delish. Had to go breakfast souffle and pumpkin spice latte. Doug was a great Ambassador who asked us about fleeing Miami due to Irma. read more

Had "lunch" at Panera. We both got the pick 2 with soup and sandwiches. I got the "grilled" cheese - nothing grilled about it. Put in toaster type machine opened faced and the bread isn't even toasted. When I inquired about toasting the bread they said they couldn't turn up the temperature because it burns the cheese. Maybe, because you aren't making a GRILLED cheese but just melting the cheese. Terrible. Both our soups were lukewarm and 1/3 of the bowl. Literally four small spoonfuls.
