let me start by saying I went on Mother's Day and had amazing experience. The food was to die for went four days later and it was a completely different experience. The quantity was down the quality was down. I waited 15 minutes for a piece of pecan pie to go. The Tavern fries had no buffalo sauce on it had to remind them to put the jalapeños on it. The fries were soggy should've been cooked longer and I've been eating North Carolina barbecue my whole life. Why is there no vinegar sauce? And the prices are quite outrageous for it to be hit or miss was really sad. I just moved to Raeford and was hoping this would become a regular spot will not be coming back thankfully on Mother's Day it was good so if you'd like to gamble, maybe this place is for you. read more

Cute lil spot in downtown old Raeford where the street is lined with old hardware store, bakeries, supply feed stores and etc. this is a gem! I heard from a local this place has only been open for a year and a half. The food was THE BEST. Brisket has a deep Smokey taste and the lettuce on top of the nachos was just a nice extra crunch! 9/14 Update, stopped in for a early dinner, was not crowded due to the time we arrived. I had the brisket Ruben and wife had the chicken wrap, both were huge in size and very tasty. You get what you pay for, the prices are a bit high but quality and taste is well worth it and it's always great to support our local businesses. They do have a bar if you want to have a beverage and a appetizer instead of a full meal, staff is always friendly and helpful. There is no table service as the only interaction is when the food is delivered. You help your self to soft drinks and sauces. The only thing I don't care for is asking to add a tip before you even get service. It seems most businesses have that in their system software. I prefer leaving cash after receiving great service. Great stop for lunch on way back to Charlotte from Fayetteville. What a gem! Staff was very welcoming and the food was delicious. The bar is well stocked if you'd like to imbibe before or during dinner as well. I found the brisket Reuben to be quite good and look forward to future visits when passing through Raeford. read more

I stopped in after hearing great reviews online. The interior is very well designed. Seems like a great space for private parties or events (not sure if that's an option). I was not instantly greeted when I entered so I seated myself at the bar. Not sure if I was supposed to walk up and order like Mission BBQ. They had a pretty good selection of liquor at the bar. I wasn't familiar with the menu so I ordered the chicken chopped cheese. My food arrived in a to-go plate for some odd reason. The guy behind the bar saw I was still seated and immediately offered me a tray. The flavor was absolutely 10/10 but I could've went without the extra oil. I read reviews as I ate and apparently they're known for their bbq/brisket which seemed pretty on par for the flavor. Personally I'd ditch some of the sandwich options, expand the bbq/brisket options/flavors. Perhaps add a server/greeter for the floor and I'd say this is def a better alternative to Mission BBQ if you're in the area. read more

Quality of service and communication gentlemen hand me a number so they can find me to bring my order to me, after about 30 minutes. Ask him how much longer on my food he asked me what I got, he said should've took that long over $50 worth of food. Meanwhile it was sitting on the counter back by the bar, but everybody else's food is brought to them, so this is why I'll no longer go there and it's definitely not mixed fruit. read more

Now this was sorely needed in Raeford. It is an attractive atmosphere that is comfortable and welcoming. The food is delicious as we tried the nachos with brisket and the smoked sausage. You could taste the smoke. We sat at the bar and had a few beers and watched some football. A few more selections on tap would be nice. The service was outstanding, very personable. 2nd visit. This visit was terrible. We ordered dine, with brisket to go. we sat for 30 minutes and never got our food. We noticed people that came in after us were getting its food. We got our food the food was cold. It was difficult to get up with the staff. So we took our food home. Let's say the food isn't good being warmed up. Very disappointed. read more

Got take out lunch with my GF here and the food was incredible. I got a pulled pork sandwich with sides of baked beans and potato salad and she got brisket with waffle fries. Best BBQ I've had in a long time. The service was quick and polite, we got in and out within 10 minutes. The inside is more spacious than pictures show, very clean, lot of TVs and a nice bar! Nice atmospherics and the decorations/look of the restaurant are great! The brisket was tasty. The price is the main challenge. $12 for a chopped brisket sandwich a lá carte is a little steep. And sides are extra. We paid $2.50 for a very small bowl of baked beans. If the sandwich with side was $11.99 then that would be more palatable. Maybe next time we'll try the ribs. As a frequent restaurant diner, I'm finding that good food, good service and decent prices are becoming harder to find in the current economic environment. We were traveling through and needed dinner. The staff was friendly and came from behind the bar to greet us. We were traveling with our pet and the were accommodating so we could bring him in his carrier with us and not have to leave him in the car. The service was fast and the food was excellent. Today was my very first visit. Walking in, the atmosphere is so cozy and inviting. The staff were welcoming and very friendly. The service is top notch. The presentation of my food, which was a to go order, was on point. I ordered a house salad and a pulled pork sandwich. Everything was soooo delicious. That pulled pork sandwich, the meat wasn't chewy, as you find at some establishments, the bun was soft and toasted just right. The house salad had the right proportion of smoked chicken. 100/10 would definitely recommend. I will be returning. To the owners: Chef's kiss. Awesome job.
