We were headed down 95 and this was a great spot to stop for a quick lunch that wasn't a fast food chain. The service was friendly and the food came out fast. The menu isn't huge, but they had a decent variety, and the prices were super reasonable. I went with their Zach burger with fries and was not disappointing. My friend ordered their homemade chicken salad and she really enjoyed it as well. Overall a great a solid spot for a quick, affordable lunch, with friendly service. read more

Stopped in Lumberton at Haleigh's Diner while I was trying hot dogs around Eastern NC. I had just made a stop in Whiteville so I walked the shopping center a bit before heading into Haleigh's. They close up at 3:00 so y'all be sure to get in there for lunch. They had a great looking menu, but I was there for a hot dog and that's what I ordered. It didn't take long for it to come out of the kitchen alongside a side salad. Now, that side salad was the cutest, silliest looking thing. Diced iceberg, strip of tomatoes, strip of cheese. That'll teach me to try to be healthy. The dog was loaded with toppings including a creamy coleslaw. Bun fell apart a bit with everything on top but we made it through. If you're passing through Lumberton, give Haleigh's Diner a shot! read more

Passing through and decided on this spot based on the reviews. The pork chop sandwich was a 10/10! My son said his Philly cheesesteak was very good too! Our waitress, Haleigh, was great and very helpful. She smiled the entire time and managed the dining room by herself without missing a single beat! Customer service 10/10! We stopped after seeing the 5 star reviews of this diner. It's right off 95 in a strip mall. Our food was very good and came out quickly. My chicken salad on a crispy croissant was delicious and my husband enjoyed the Zach burger. We also ordered onion rings which were great. Hot, crunchy, and served with Ranch. Even the iced tea was tasty. We will be back when we travel 95. read more

Fantastic food, service, and owner I stopped by Lumberton to get a glazed croissant from Cakes and Pastries. To my disappointment, they were closed until New Years. Oh no! When I stumbled upon the perfect 5 stars hovering over this place, I knew I just had to check it out. I am so glad that I did. You walk in and are greeted by an open kitchen, red and black decor, and a wall pasted with numerous family memorabilia. Haleigh, as it turns out, is the owner Mike's granddaughter. If you see Mike, he'll treat you like an old friend. Man, the life he has lived! I ordered the BLT with some tater tots. Sorry folks, healthy options are scarce to find here! This is, after all, a diner. The BLT came out in about 8 minutes, and it was a beauty. Cooked on Texas toast with clearly fresh ingredients, the BLT was sensational. The tots, alongside the house sauce, were an inspired addition to the BLT meal. The owner swears that everything is FRESH and HOMEMADE. These are novel concepts for many diners nowadays. This will become a regular stop on I-95. The exit is 22 in N.C. Come to Haleigh's Diner for some truly next-level food and service at a LOCAL and FAMILY-RUN business. read more

Poor customer service. Walked in and was told to take a seat anywhere. We decided to take a seat outside. Waited for several minutes and no one came to take our order. Went inside and asked waitress if we need to order inside. She replied no she would come to our table. Waited for several minutes again and still no waitress came to take our order. However did observe her taking orders from others who were seated after us. To many places in Lumberton that serves hamburgers to put up with bad service. read more

Wow is an understatement. I have not had BLT in many years because they are always terrible with burnt bacon. I asked for medium bacon and it came out PERFECT. Home made coleslaw is never my favorite but theirs was delicious. We will definitely return when we pass this way again. read more

I don't come to Lumberton often, but when I do, I usually stopped at Tysons for a burger. When they closed a while back I was bummed. However, on this trip, I saw this diner in its place and had to try. The first thing I noticed was how impeccably clean it was. The staff was busy and bustling, but still acknowledged me with that sweet southern charm. I ordered a burger all the way, forgetting that I'm not a fan of coleslaw in my meal... but man. After a short wait, I took my burger to my car and snuck a bite. WOW. It was so fresh, so hot, so DELICIOUS. EVEN THE SLAW WAS BOMB. I've already been back twice since my first visit. I was in Lumberton a few weeks ago and wanted something to take back my motel room. I went into Haleigh's Diner and was impressed with the variety of offerings on the menu. I pondered a few things but finally decided a visit to Eastern NC called for barbecue. I ordered at bbq sandwich and a side of slaw. When my order was handed to me, the vinegary, tangy aroma hit me. I couldn't wait to get to my room and enjoy. And, I did. Eating alone in a motel room wasn't so bad. Actually, it was good since I'm sure I was smacking so loudly. I'd have embarrassed myself in the diner. The service was very prompt and the staff was very pleasant. If my travels take me to Lumberton again, a visit to Haleigh's will be on the agenda. read more
