The service is amazing accompanied by the food including the fresh baked bagels and cream cheese, Mac and cheese, cold pressed teas, and panini pressed sandwiches!

I don't usually come to this Panera location as often as I'd would want to...but I might start to! Grace (I hope that's her name!) was at the caisher and she was super friendly and helpful! I was a bit indecisive about which salad to eat, and she listed the contents in the salad (which I appreciate since I'm watching what I eat lol). She was so patient with me and I really appreciated that! In addition, also accomandating with me when I asked for dressing on the side. Ended up getting half Cesar salad. The amount of dressing on the side wasn't a lot, but I made it work. I looove the baguette that comes with salad, sandwich and soup! Probably will come back again!

I have always enjoyed Panera. This location I haven't been to in a very long time. I was impressed with the improvements . There is now a big push for rapid ordering. There is an area with tablets so you can order food instead of waiting in line. There is an area that you can pick up your food. It's very clean and the staff is very nice . But the food itself wasn't too impressive . I would have to try some more dishes to be for sure but what I ordered was a bit bland . I ordered a corn chowder . The bread I got w the soup was good . I do like this location but I am not in any rush to come back .

Panera is usually a decent, straightforward chain, but this last visit might be my last. I got the turkey sausage, egg white and spinach breakfast sandwich and it did NOT taste good. I also ordered an iced latte and received a Chai. Not a good day at Panera in Maplewood.

Great watermelon salad! Really good .i never tried it before. IT is a summer salad I have been to this location before. Just fine! Staff. Glad I tried a new salad today!

Update, now 10:15 and still not on

Giving it two stars when it could have been three. I'll explain later. Had the ham and Swiss soufflé, chocolate croissant, cranberry orange muffin and Parmesan cheese bagel with chives spread. The soufflé recipe must have changed from years past as it was not flaky and good anymore. Disappointing. The chocolate croissant was as expected nothing fancy but was flaky and tasted fresh. The bagel texture was perfect plump yet nice crunch on the outside. The orange cranberry muffin was dry and and orange cranberry was only sprinkled on top before baking and did not appear throughout the muffin. I'd skip this muffin. Ok so I'm giving this place a two star because I arrived here about 8:30/8:40 and I noticed the fireplace wasn't on, which a warm fireplace was the only reason why I bothered to patron Panera this morning and come to this location in the first place. I asked for it to be turned on and was told by a lady behind the counter that it cycles on and off. Needless to say, I sat myself in front of it and now it's 10:05 am and guess what it never came on so I sat here cold and grumpy and finished my mediocre pastries and drank two cups of coffee waiting for the darn thing to cycle on. Still not on. About to leave, a very disappointed and cold customer.

I mean. Its Panera. It's fine. But I'm sitting here staring at the dirty floor, while the employees yell out about running out of food or ingredients (last time avocado, this time is Pepsi). The line is always slow and no one smiles. I come because I love Panera's soup, but this location is sub par.

The bathroom requires a code to enter but you can get the code at the register when you pay. If you are only getting cakes and coffee you can order from a separate register on one side of the cafe. You can order cakes by the slice or whole. The tres leches cake is phenomenal -- it's super moist and creamy, while still being pretty light. There is plenty of seating over on this side of the cafe. Their chocolate cake is moist and so rich. Their espresso is fantastic. On the other side of the cafe is food served cafeteria style. You grab a tray and go down the line. You can order a salad sampler and get smaller portions of 2-3 salads for the same price as one salad. The portions are extremely generous. Salad comes with a bread roll, and the focaccia cheese one is great! The caesar pasta salad was on the blander side, but I really enjoyed the crisp fresh veggies in the peanut vegetables salad. There isn't as much seating available on this side of the cafe.

This place is always hopping but lines move fast so don't let that steer you away. My hands down favorite treat myself picks from here are usually available on Fridays: Raspberry White Chocolate Cheesecake (I am NOT into fruity things but this cake is the exception. The crust has almond flavor, the flavors of white chocolate bits and whipped raspberry all together are perfect) Deep Chocolate Flourless Cake (Rich, dense, smooth, chocolately goodness topped with ganache. I don't know why you say Papaya, I'm going to play Halo. The Hmong Village is a huge Warehouse full of textiles and trinkets and amazing Goods that are generally Vietnamese but also from all parts of the world. And at one end of this massive Warehouse of goodies and delights is this enormous endless row of magical food places which are serving everything from Pho to fake Chinese food to fake Japanese food to Korean food and even some real Chinese and Japanese to go with the Thai and the Filipino and a little bit of everything such as Laotian and Cambodian - but definitely heavy on the Vietnamese stuff as is the expectancy. The sad thing is that people on Yelp haven't really made a dent into these yet as I came here and noticed that probably only three or four of the 30 or 40 food places in this massive Market have even been put on Yelp yet. I've now put them all on Yelp and will be working my way through them each time I visit Saint Paul until I have put up pix of various dishes at each one. But if you live around here and you come here more regularly than I do, what's your excuse? Give all of these places a try! Put them on the map! Figure out which ones are the true hidden gems! Why go to Ye Olde Basic Brewery yet again for yet another pale ale and yet another microbrew craft beer and some more freaking Mozzarella Sticks. You can come here and do what Yelp is really all about which is trying new things and putting little places like this on the map.

The new owners, a corporation owning 6-8 other restaurants have CHANGED almost all the recipes for breads, cakes , wonderous cookies and 80 % of all pastries! No more butter, no more fine ingredients and no more of their once " Grossinger's taste/quality" STELLAR seeded rye bread! They even eliminated the lemon flavoring. In their incomparable lemon coconut cake! Their stuffed cabbage is one of their only true deli dishes left. Sandwiches are half their original size...... heart breaking after going there 3-4 times a week for 25 years........ Cecil's of course had to cut back on the $$ use of butter in their pastries. But they have WORKED VERY HARD to still retain their wonderous long long ago heart warming flavors. ALL their sandwiches are AUTHENTIC. Old world New York City flavors! Made with care and love. My husband loves their beautiful generous Nova salmon platte. Noshing away happily! I love their pastrami Rachel's with plentiful half sour pickles lots of Russian dressing and creamy Cole slaw. My mom ordered the crab soup, which she loved. She also ordered the New Orleans shrimp bowl. The shrimp were wayyyyyyyy overcooked and extremely rubbery and hard. It's not good whenever you're over cooking your shrimp. It was inedible. The dirty rice and creole sauce were excellent. I don't think I'd put asparagus in this dish, but that's what it came with? Didn't think asparagus was a southern style vegetable? I ordered the special. It was brisket birria tacos. If you've ever ordered birria tacos before, you know it always comes with a beef consome for dipping your tacos in. This is why it's called birria tacos and any decent chef who's been educated about Mexican cuisine knows this! Ugh! Barely any cheese in the tacos. I was really missing the consome. I asked for it from the bartender and he said yeah it usually comes with it. I received a side dish of hot sauce instead? I'll post pics. For $80, over-rubbery shrimp and not birria tacos, was extremely underrated. I was very disappointed. Normally, I've enjoyed my last three visits. I felt like we overpaid. Please, if you're going to call it birria tacos, don't forget the consome! Any random recipe on the Internet calls for a beef broth for Birria tacos. Maybe next time don't call it Birria tacos call it brisket tacos.
