This particular location is very nice inside and outside--huge parking lot, easy to get to, and they even have a cool water fountain/pond in the back. The staff were great, everyone from the greeters at door to our server at the table but the food was just ok. I will say the soups were delicious--I got the zuppa Toscano and the chicken gnocchi. The breadstick though seemed dry, and the chicken in the tortellini had this weird taste to it. Even though it wasn't my favorite meal, I will always give credit to Olive Garden for the amount of food you get with an entrée--unlimited soup or salad and breadsticks. We had a group of 14 people and we typically get our own little area which is nice! The service and servers are wonderful! The food was delicious! The Eagan location is super clean and has plenty of free parking. During peak times you can add yourself to the waitlist. I've consistently had great experiences at dinner time, where everything tastes fresh and the breadsticks are soo buttery and covered in garlic salt. Service is usually friendly and fast. For lunch you can get never-ending soup, salad, and breadsticks for $10.99 11am-3pm Monday-Friday. However, the service during lunch time is quite a bit slower than dinner and the breadsticks aren't fresh. The lunch breadsticks tend to be pretty stale and don't have much butter or garlic salt on them. I'd recommend this place more for dinner time! read more

We dined at this location receptor to celebrate my late mother's birthday. We were satisfied with our meals and the service. However, the temperature in the restaurant was very cold! The thermostat is either malfunctioning or set at the wrong temperature. Either way, it needs to be fixed so we are dining comfortably rather than shivering while we are trying to eat our dinner. We will need to bring a quilt or wear thick sweatshirts next time so we won't freeze! It would not surprise us if people just get up and leave because they are so cold, they can't even talk at all. read more

Visited on a Saturday evening.... Party of 3. I added ourselves to the online waitlist, but was somehow bumped off before we arrived, so that was annoying. Then when actually arrived and had to re-add us to the waitlist and we had like a 45 minute wait. Luckily we like to chat. When we finally got a table, it took sometime for our server to greet us, and I do understand it was a busy Saturday night however this just seemed unusually long. When he finally arrived to bring us waters and ask if we'd like anything else to drink, he just never felt fully present as he appeared to be somewhere else.... His mind anyway. I also noticed that when he took our dinner order as well. He was physically there, but mentally not. Each encounter seemed very transactional and almost if we were a bother to his evening. We were rarely checked on and didn't even receive refills on our waters. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals and dessert that we took to go. I haven't been to Olive Garden in years but was having a craving for breadsticks and salad with a side of lasagna. Came on a Friday night, it was busy but not super crowded. We were seated right away, and service was good. We started with the artichoke dip which was delicious and a lot of food for an appetizer. I ordered the lasagna, and while we waited the salad and breadsticks came out. The breadsticks just tasted different to me, the salad was good with the pepperonicini. The portion of lasagna was huge! Wow. I took the family out to dinner tonight, and my daughter wanted to go to Olive Garden. Since it was the middle of rush hour, we decided to go to the Eagan, MN location instead of the Bloomington location. The time was about 4:30 pm on a Friday, and we left after the wife and daughter came back from school. On arrival to the restaurant, the parking lot was already pretty full, but we were able to get seated right away. Our waiter was great, and got us started on drinks and took our order post haste. The food came out quickly, and it was nice to see the salad plates were pre-chilled, and the side plates for the breadsticks were pre-warmed (nice touch OG). We all got the all you can eat option, since it was simpler and cheaper, and came with the all you can eat salad and bread sticks. I was surprised about the large portion size of the main entrees, and my wife and I were too stuffed for a second round of pasta. The kiddo got a second helping, and of course let loose on the freshly grated Parm. She topped the dinner off with a huge slice of chocolate "lasagna" cake, but could only eat 2 bites before finally being full (she is petite 9 year old so I have no idea where she packs away the food). When the bill came, I was surprised how low the bill was. This included two Tito's martinis, and a lemonade. We had leftovers to bring home, and had full belly's. This is by far and away the best Olive Garden I have been too, and the interior of the restaurant was updated, clean, new looking, and had plentiful staff running around doing service. By the time we left, the dining room was packed, and a long line of customers waiting to be seated. Good job OG! We will definitely be back to this location. read more

The food was average Italian fare (we got spaghetti with meat sauce, lasagna, and fettuccine Alfredo plus an appetizer of meatballs). The server and hostess were attentive and welcoming. The ambiance was pleasant. The promotion was what compelled a visit. I love a good deal when it comes to dining out! I was pleasantly surprised. We haven't eaten at Olive Garden in a few years and then it was another location. I stopped in on the spur of the moment and went to their Olive Garden to Go door. One thing that was really missing, there are no menus in that area so I had to go to the restaurant hostess to borrow a menu. My order was taken promptly and it was out in about 10 minutes, even though they were busy. We had the Tour of Italy, Seafood Alfredo and Zuppa Toscana. All were prepared correctly and included breadsticks. Portion size is good and we had extras for lunch the next day. I just wish they had a larger selection of pastas with more variety. read more

When I stayed in Eagan back in May, there was a sign up saying that this Olive Garden was coming soon. I was so excited. I have been going to other Olive Garden eateries, mainly in Rochester and Bloomington, to get my fix. Last month, while in the area, I passed by and it was in full swing. Yay! I had to dine here. After a fun evening going to a book signing and shopping at Kowalski's for the first time, I was ready for dinner. Heading over to this Olive Garden felt right. My usual hotel that I stay at is roughly a two-minute drive from this Olive Garden. I arrived at perhaps 8 pm on a Wednesday night. There was lots of parking. I parked and headed inside. I like the setup here. For takeout orders, the pickup area is on the left. For dining, it's on the right. There are also parking spots in front of the restaurant for customers with pickup orders only. It looked like there was a huge wait, but the crowd in front of the reception area was a bit misleading. I found the front and spoke to a couple of female staffers. They immediately found a booth for me to sit down and dine in. I had the most polite, nice server take my order and attend to my hunger. She was professional and helpful. I deviated from my usual order a bit and got the following: - Raspberry lemonade - Zuppa toscana - Chicken marsala fettuccine My raspberry lemonade came out first. It was tart and yummy. I got a refill during my meal. Breadsticks came out next. They were crustier than what I'm used to. They were fine, as I dunked them in my zuppa toscana. It's my favourite soup and I loved it here. I got cheese on top. I normally don't, but felt like a change. It added a saltier layer of flavour. It was good to experiment. Chicken marsala fettuccine is a new menu item to me. When I lived in Rochester, I fell in love with chicken marsala to the point where I'd make it myself. There was an eatery in downtown Rochester that made the best chicken marsala. I need to go back. Victoria's is still alive and kicking. Anyway, I needed to get my fix. My usual dish is chicken scampi. I hope that the chicken marsala fettuccine stays on the menu for a while. It was delicious. I loved the tender chicken that was lightly battered and pan-fried. It had mushrooms and spinach that were lightly sautéed. It reminded me of a similar dish that I used to get at Grapes in Winnipeg that did the same thing with these vegetables. Sadly, Grapes died over a decade ago. The fettuccine was perfectly done. I rarely have fettuccine. I should more often. It was so good, especially with the marsala sauce coating every pasta strand. I'm hungry now. Ugh! When you dine in, you can get a take-home meal for $6 each. There is a maximum of four that you can buy. I got my usual, my spaghetti with meat sauce. I also changed things up by getting the fettuccine alfredo, since my experience with fettuccine here was wonderful. My server packed everything up for me. She was so efficient, which I appreciated. I had these meals for lunch while working remotely that week. They hit the spot and were so yummy. I also love the meat sauce with the perfectly al dente spaghetti. The fettuccine was fun to heat up. You then mix the alfredo sauce with the pasta and it's perfect. I'm still hungry as a recount my food memories. I paid using the tabletop kiosk in front of me. I tipped. My server gave me an Andes chocolate mint well before I paid. Yum! I swiped my credit card. I got my receipt texted to me. I also left positive feedback. My server came over to thank me. So sweet! I let her know that I had an enjoyable time here and thanked her for everything. I dropped by the women's washroom before I headed out. It was clean and the stalls were roomy. Great restaurant! The food is hot, fresh and so flavorful. I've been going to this restaurant since I was a child so it has a special place in my heart, and that too, for good reason! The service is one of the best you'll find. The servers always engage in conversation with you and they are super kind. The ambiance is just a classic. The melodious Italian music playing, and the beautiful warm colors. It gives a nice homey vibe that just makes you want to stay there forever. When another staff member kindly helped us move to a different table, she came over and raised her voice at us, asking who gave us permission to move. Busy today, waited 35 minutes for a table for 3. Waitress took a bit to show up, we ordered food and drinks, 2 apps and a meal. She brings the drinks, then the meal comes out from the kitchen, before either app and the salad and bread. Then waitress shows up with salad and bread. Still no app. Now brings one app and says the other is still cooking. Manager shows up and says the artichoke dip is frozen we can take it off the bill, so they take off the thing that never showed up. The whole meal was screwed up, we were treated like an afterthought. Waste of my time, the whole meal should've been free after that bs, terrible service, tell someone when something on the menu is not available, not after all the other food shows up....should give zero stars read more

Who doesn't like shiny new things? OG has been the talk of the town for years and we finally have one. In actuality it's the same food at each one. Food is good and arrived hot, they are still working out some kinks as service seems to be a little off at times but no where near bad. Last few times we went we had a small wait less then 15 minutes. Host team is always very friendly and they always mention the $6 take home meals. The place is always packed so the servers are running all the time. On our recent visit they were out of two of the beers I wanted but no big deal. Kitchen team is fast sometimes too fast but would rather have it fast then slow. Overall very pleased. read more

WOW! This was my 1st visit to this Olive Garden in Eagan. I took my brother and his family out for dinner on Friday night. OMG! This place is quite lovely and modern. Looks brand new! I live in Miami, and we have a few new and old Olive Garden locations around South Florida but this location in Eagan is super nice! I was shocked it wasn't busy for a Friday night, but I imagine everyone was Christmas shopping. Our waitress and staff were professional, friendly and courteous. The food was fast and very delicious. This is the third time I've come to this Olive Garden on a slow weekday evening, sat at the bar for 10+ mins, even made direct eye contact with bar staff and have not even been greeted, acknowledged, etc. Again as before, I just got up and left. I love Olive Garden but this location has what I would consider to be some of the worst service I've ever experienced at one of their locations. Recently visited this place, have been here multiple times before. The experience is usually just fine but this time it was not good. Zero percent. After being seated it took nearly 20 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge we were there. Around the 10 minute mark I turned on the "call server" function on their electronic ordering station, which makes it blink red but apparently doesn't actually notify anyone of anything and no employees who see it gives a fuck. So after a few minutes, we grabbed the attention of a busboy and he went and got someone. A few minutes later the bartender comes over apologizing and saying nobody told him we were there. That's fine. But the attitude was "its not my fault" rather than I fucked up, I'm sorry, what can I do to make this right. He did say he talked to the manager and was authorized to offer us a free app and a free desert. In my opinion, a lame attempt, considering we never get either when we dine at Olive Garden. What I would rather hear is I'm sorry I wasted your time, your meal is on us tonite, or we'll give you a 50% discount. And what would have been even better would be the manager coming over and apologizing for his/her staffs inability to communicate and do their jobs. So, after the dinner, I left a much smaller tip than I normally would have. As we were leaving the server ran over to us, looking upset, and said we should have gotten someone's attention if we had to wait that long. And that, folks, is exactly why I left the small tip. That asshole is actually lucky I left any tip at all. I didn't believe his excuses or his sincerity. First, early into the 20 minute wait, I brought my son to the bathroom. In the bathroom was the very same server pruning and preening in front of the mirror. My suspicion is he wasn't where he was supposed to be so he could be told guests had arrived at one of his tables. Second, if you're the manager of a restaurant, and you find out your moron employees let guests sit for almost 20 minutes without acknowledgement, would you not personally go over and apologize and see what could be done to make it right? That did not happen. Either server lied about talking to the manager or the manager is irresponsible. Third, a tip is not an entitlement, you have to earn it. By leaving us on an island for 20 minutes your tip went to zero. You earned it back up to a few bucks. If you expect me to leave you a good tip after that experience and comping me food I didn't want in the first place, you're fucking crazy and an asshole. Maybe now you'll learn that fucking around with customers leads to finding out tips are less. If you don't like it, don't fuck up. Make it clear to your colleagues miscommunications can't happen instead of blaming the customer. Oh, and the Rigatoni was boiled too long, was like eating gum in sauce. read more

The young waiter must be new they also charged us for a side of meatballs instead of the cost with create your own. Check your receipts according to manger this is the way they always have done it. Prices went up, like everywhere else. Nice that salad and breadsticks are all you can eat, but wish the breadsticks were soft and buttery like they used to be. Not dry and hard.
