We get this catered for work sometimes and it's always amazing. They give us huge trays of sandwiches with a wide variety of meats and breads. They also have the veggie sandwiches available that they put to the side. We also got a huge tray of cookies and veggies that came with ranch and hummus. We didn't see any extra sauce like mayo or mustard available. I used to have training for another job and D. Brian's was downstairs and we would usually go down there for lunch. It can be pricey to eat here everyday but they did have a lot of options if you feel like having a good healthy lunch in Bloomington. A hidden gem located inside of a sleepy office plaza. Heard about this location from a co-worker who used to go there years ago and decided to give it a try. If you were not aware of the business you wouldn't find it. There is little to no advertising. You enter into an office building and make your way into the basement where you locate this large deli. Ordering is done at the deli counter, I have ordered the turkey sandwich and the roast beef. I will say that the roast beef wasn't my favorite however, the turkey was very hearty and cut just right. I have tried their soups which they carry about 6 all the time. The best one has been the Ruben soup!!!! Prices are not bad at all, a sandwich and soup is around $13.00 which comes with a side each. I walked in on around 8:30 on a Monday morning, presumably after the morning rush had cleared. They were busy getting lunch ready but acknowledged my presence and were patient in taking my order. The food was fast, hot, good and reasonably priced and a slam-dunk choice over the local hotel restaurants. Plenty of comfortable dining room seating with large tv that wasn't too loud or offensive. Now for the cons. Finding the place. Head toward where Delta planes are taking off. It's a totally nondescript office building where you'd never guess there's a restaurant. There are two high tension power line poles at the end of the road - turn left into the 2nd parking lot when you see those. Enter the main doors and take the slow elevators or better yet, turn to your left and walk down one flight of stairs. The relatively unappealing office building opens up to a pleasant dining space. Tips: placing your order online seems easy. I started to do this but changed my mind because I wanted the in person experience. No issues with online ordering. I didn't notice a menu until I got all the way into the restaurant. It would be nice to have one on/at the door. The ordering process isn't obvious unless someone is in line in front of you. You tell the cashier at the end what you want, you get a slip, and you take that slip to another cashier behind you to pay. That's not obvious. I wasn't sure how I was supposed to get my food, so I sat in the dining room and an employee kindly brought me my order, but I got the feeling I was supposed to wait for it before going to sit down. Overall, very good. Would have given 5 stars if the process (finding the place, ordering) was easier. Prices are fair, food quality excellent, service good and reasonably swift. An outlet of the local chain situated inside a non-descript office building on American drive in Bloomington just east of MOA. They serve a variety of fresh sandwiches, wraps and salads and I've been eating here 3-days a week for almost three years. The staff is super friendly and they have little to no turnover which says something. If you are a regular, be sure to grab one of their frequent buyer tags. You get 5 points for each Check-in (one per day) and after 50 points, you get a free lunch-so for me that was one every month-it adds up quick. Some of my favorites: chicken tortilla soup, Santa Fe salad and chicken street tacos. A great spot for lunch. read more

So, so, cute! This little gem is tucked away in an office building, which is great for the employees in the surrounding area. I loved how, when I first walked in, there were multiple "stations" of food items. The first one I came across was for sandwiches. The next one was for soups. Then salads, and then the grill. I also noticed there was a huge blackboard that told you all of the items available that day if you were trying to watch your calorie / fat intake. I certainly appreciated that because I was on the road and not always faced with too many healthy options. I went with the low-fat (so they say) chicken gumbo and a roasted turkey sandwich on multi grain bread. The chicken gumbo was good; not the greatest I've ever had, but it was good in a sense that I would order it again. I liked that it was thicker and not watery--I love it when a soup is equally balanced between "stuff" i.e. ingredients and liquid. My turkey sandwich was great; I'm sure it was because I had them add a pesto spread to it (one side only). That, combined with the red onion, lettuce, tomato and provolone cheese was a winning combination for me and I would gladly order it again. The deli itself is quite welcoming; there are many comfy looking couches and chairs, as well as high tables for you to sit on. I want to say there was a fireplace there, as well, but can't recall for sure. All in all this was one place I was very happy to have had a meal at and would gladly return to if in MSP again. This is my go to breakfast spot! Well...my office is in this building so when I'm running out the door and miss breakfast, I stop at D'Brians. They have much healthier options, and plenty of it. I also like that they have the calorie count listed next to each item, not that this stops me from ordering something I know I shouldn't anyhow. However, it does make me think I should probably try to workout just a little bit harder later...maybe. They serve breakfast all day, so I'll admit I mostly order breakfast for lunch too. The deli/restaurant is located on the bottom floor of the building. When you go to the order counter there are a few stations. You have the wrap station, soup, salad, and then the grill area where you can also order your breakfast. There's a little center island thing with breadsticks, fruits, and muffins that can easily be missed because of all the people milling around. There's also a large selection of beverages hot and cold. My favorite breakfast item here is hands down the egg white tacos. I order this every time with ham as my meat selection, and with salsa and sour cream. Your first layer is your tortilla shell warmed to a crisp on their flat top. Then you get a layer of healthy egg whites, crunchy hash browns, your meat selection, and then some cheddar cheese to finish it off (not so healthy anymore, I know). I'll take cheese over a maraschino cherry on top of anything any day. They fold this pile of yumminess over, cut it in 3 triangles, and there you go. I top mine with the sour cream and salsa, but also a generous amount of Tabasco sauce because that's how I roll no matter what time of day, and my breakfast is ready. My belly is satisfied. The salads are really fresh. There's a half and full portion. I'd stick to the half, it's pretty big and should get you by for lunch, unless you don't believe me, then order the full. I love the Spicy Santa Fe Chicken salad. I don't think I can name everything in it, but I'll try. Obviously, you get lettuce, you can order it without I suppose, but to me that's weird. There's a corn salsa with black beans, tomato, bacon, chicken, and the spicy Santa Fe dressing. I feel like I'm missing ingredients, but this is why you should just try this place out and find out what's all in their salads. I'm going to mention the soups as well, because I also order it frequently. There's always a soup of the day, but try the cheddar tomato soup. It's exactly how it sounds and it's delicious. It's not overwhelmingly cheesy, I get the tangy tomato taste. You can get this with one of their grilled cheese sandwiches and you'll have a solid lunch. I will warn you to stay away from the chicken wild rice soup. I always order this when I'm out because if it's homemade and done right it's super comforting. Not here though, the soup is milky white and has the consistency of skim milk, which is just wrong for this soup or any soup perhaps. I'm not giving them a 5 star because there are so many items on the menu, and although many are good, there also a few you need to stay away from. Prices are also steep. Plan on $10 plus for a half sandwich or (not and) soup with a beverage. They do give you free bread sticks, but I'm sure that's already added into the costs of their menu items. The service is also just average, and sometimes it takes a while to get help. If you're ordering at the grill then always plan on at least a 15 minute wait. For some people that's half their break time. There's plenty of seating in the dining area if you're eating there though, so it's good for group lunch breaks. Oh, and they close at 2pm. Keep this in mind if you're a late lunch person. read more

This has been my 2nd time here. Two stars knocked off for the first time I was here and my Avocado chicken salad was missing the avocados and chicken. 2nd time ordered Cuban Panini with fries. Their Cuban has chicken in it. The chicken was very dry pressed inside the Panini. The pickle was forgotten. The fries were good. I also liked the breadsticks and cheddar tomato soup from my first time here. Today the Heinz ketchup dispenser was empty. Instead of refilling, I was told to take packets. Their prices are a little higher. Parking is in a lot. The business is in an office building and only open until 2 pm Monday-Friday. I'll probably return and stick with soup and breadsticks. This is a great place for those who work on the south side of the MSP airport. I have never had a bad experience or lunch. The food is fresh and they have a lot of variety. I mostly order salads but change it up once in a while with the soup and the salad. Don't forget about the garlic breadsticks they are amazing! I don't get soda often but I also like the fact that they have diet mt. dew in both can and fountain. The cookies are good as well, but check to make sure they are soft, you can stumble upon a hard one every once in a while. read more

I love this place! I was occassionally stationed in MN for a week at a time for work and always came here for lunch. Their salads are soooo delicious! I love how they put so many different ingredients in their salads. I also really like their soups. Great flavor and really thick too! The cookies here are really crisp and full of yummie chocolatey goodness! Prices run a bit on the high side but definitely worth it for the taste and the freshness of the ingredients. They have a chef here who works the grill in case you want to order a specialty dish or a grilled sandwich/burger. They have table and booth seating at this location and a big screen tv in the middle (usually showing the news) to keep you entertained if you are eating alone. This deli can be tricky to locate. There arent really signs in front of the building to let you know this place is here. Its located in a business building and you have to walk down a flight of stairs and around the corner to find it. Trust me its worth looking for! There is a private lot and parking is free. read more

This place used to be the best place to go until they changed the menu last week. The salads are still made fresh and the dressing is stirred in a bowl to cover all of the fixings. Delicious! D'Brians has excellent sandwiches! I usually have the roast beef sandwich and a soup, and both of those items have very high quality ingredients. However, the food is a bit pricy for the quantity, I believe a sandwich costs $6 or $7. Take out is probably best, the ambience is nothing spectacular (for example, the floor has no carpet or tile). The Chicken was warm and tender and the nuts added a great compliment and crunch along with the shredded carrots and a tasty peanut sauce. This place is ok, they have a lot of variety in their food choices, but the quality is not as good as I would have hoped. The bread for the sandwiches was rather thin (something i could make at home for much cheaper) and the meats were ok.
