Great organic healthy food at a very reasonable price. Great salads, breakfast all day etc. Closes at 1:30 though.

Turn left into the parking lot by the high tension power lines.

I walked in on around 8:30 on a Monday morning, presumably after the morning rush had cleared. They were busy getting lunch ready but acknowledged my presence and were patient in taking my order. The food was fast, hot, good and reasonably priced and a slam-dunk choice over the local hotel restaurants. Plenty of comfortable dining room seating with large tv that wasn't too loud or offensive. Now for the cons. Finding the place. Head toward where Delta planes are taking off. It's a totally nondescript office building where you'd never guess there's a restaurant. There are two high tension power line poles at the end of the road - turn left into the 2nd parking lot when you see those. Enter the main doors and take the slow elevators or better yet, turn to your left and walk down one flight of stairs. The relatively unappealing office building opens up to a pleasant dining space. Tips: placing your order online seems easy. I started to do this but changed my mind because I wanted the in person experience. No issues with online ordering. I didn't notice a menu until I got all the way into the restaurant. It would be nice to have one on/at the door. The ordering process isn't obvious unless someone is in line in front of you. You tell the cashier at the end what you want, you get a slip, and you take that slip to another cashier behind you to pay. That's not obvious. I wasn't sure how I was supposed to get my food, so I sat in the dining room and an employee kindly brought me my order, but I got the feeling I was supposed to wait for it before going to sit down. Overall, very good. Would have given 5 stars if the process (finding the place, ordering) was easier. Prices are fair, food quality excellent, service good and reasonably swift. Recommended!

Is this a sit down only or do they offer quick breakfast and coffee you can take to go?

We are a Monday-Friday breakfast, lunch and catering restaurant. Fast casual, so you can easily pop in, place an order and go. You could also download our order app and have it ready for pick up that way. Thanks!

My turkey sandwich was great; I'm sure it was because I had them add a pesto spread to it (one side only).

Chef Pedro took our order (bonus points) and we had a lovely conversation about New Orleans. The menu here has a lot of New Orleans food intertwined. Based on where Pedro previously worked in New Orleans, he has an outstanding culinary background. I was going to order the Muffaletta, which can be served hot or cold, but they were out. When I heard why, I was impressed. In New Orleans, the gold standard of bread is Leidenheimer. Minnesota doesn't have the same bread (Trung Nam Bakery is the closest substitute). Pedro uses Leidenheimer for his Muffalettas. Pedro also makes his own olive salad. I am looking forward to trying a Muffaletta. My husband ordered the Zambon Dip and really enjoyed it. I had the Herb Brooks Focaccia. It was great. Big portions. What is really funny is I knew the North Stars as I worked at the Met Center. Fun memorabilia too. On street parking and some tables outside. What we used to call a neighborhood joint. Stop in and say hi to Pedro. Now I just wish he would make Gumbo with some okra and filé.

It's well away from the beaten path of downtowners, tourists, and suburbanites and I think it can truly represent what locals like in a deli. There are some great sounding sandwich combinations on the menu. Unfortunately, during my inaugural visit, they could not make some of them because they were out of key ingredients. That seems a little lame for a shop that only does sandwiches but it gives me an excuse to go there again to give it a try. What I did taste (a Dino Italian Sub and a North Star Deluxe) were well above average. Maybe not legendary but certainly exceeding a typical sandwich from a chain franchise. The prices were also about 1/3 higher than a typical chain franchise but I guess you get what you pay for. I liked the hockey themed schtick of the place and the young guys manning the lunch rush could all pass for avid hockey stars which fits the theme since the shop seems to be named after the old MN pro hockey team (North Stars). The only thing that was not super authentic about them were the lack of extreme mullets and they all seemed to have a full set of teeth. The sandwiches are fairly large, messy, and tasty. There are some great sidewalk tables to enjoy your lunch on a nice day. They even provide local hot sauce (Cry Baby Craigs) on the table which is very un-Minnesotan due to its spicy kick. What's not to like? If in the area, this is a definite recommendation to change up your lunchtime boredom with the same old same old.

I used to live in the area and when the small coffee shop opened I was so exited to have that in our community and was happy to support them - even if some coffee beverages were top dollar. I was in the area today, and decided to stop in since I no longer live in the area and wanted to enjoy a good brew. Unfortunately, the experience I had left me leaving with a bitter taste in my mouth - and it wasn't from the coffee. I thought it goes without saying, but when a customer greets you, you should greet them back, not just stare. It would be even better if your staff would greet each customer first - make them feel welcome. Maybe I'm a millennial channeling boomer energy, but for years I'm noticing the customer service disappearing from a lot of businesses. I love that connection, but I'm understanding that some people see only a paycheck and skid by with minimal customer service and that is the new way. I don't plan to visit this establishment again. I wish the barista with star tattoos would have put in enough customer service energy that she did with her impeccable makeup.

The atmosphere is fun and lively, although it does get pretty noisy, so it can be a little hard to hear at times. The food was delicious and definitely not your average brunch menu. Everything felt thoughtful, unique, and full of flavor. Most items are made from scratch, including the biscuits, the bacon, and even the hot sauce, which really shows in the taste. The Mediterranean tartine was a standout with the perfect balance of salty prosciutto and the sweet balsamic onion ricotta. The house Benedict was excellent and the hollandaise was some of the best I've had. The waffle was good but nothing especially memorable, it felt a little overpowered by the raspberry compote. The cocktails were fantastic too. The Orange Dream was the perfect brunch drink, light, creamy, and refreshing. Overall, a great experience with incredible food and wonderful service. The inside is beautiful and made for a really nice dining experience. We started with the Eichten's cheese curds, and they were excellent. They were soft on the inside, some had a great cheese pull, and the spicy dipping sauce paired really well with them. I ordered the Flat Iron Frites. The steak was seasoned well, cooked nicely, and didn't have much fat, which I appreciated. The fries were crispy and came with house-made ketchup. I usually don't even like ketchup, but this one was actually really good. My partner ordered the deviled eggs as his appetizer, and he enjoyed them so much he finished them in no time. For dessert, we had the Strawberry Shortcake Crème Brûlée, and it was fantastic. I've never had crème brûlée like that before. It was a unique twist on a classic dessert and ended the meal perfectly. The only small downside was that the complimentary water tasted clean and fresh. But it was warm instead of cold.
