Picked up our app order yesterday. Ordered it Sunday for Monday pick up at 10:45. Went to the one on Ireland Road in South Bend IN. Got there about 11:00 and had to wait. They gave me the wrong salad (Fuji Apple Salad w/chicken without the chicken and with the Green Goddess dressing that was supposed to go with the Cobb Salad w/ avocado that I had ordered). It was disgusting. Also, they ran out of the bbq sauce for my husband's sandwich. I live across town and didn't realize their error until I got home so I wasn't about to drive 1/2 hour back. Contacted corporate office 3x so far and NOTHING! This company deserves a negative number for customer service. Will not go back! read more

Absolutely terrible pick-up service. We enrolled in the coffee subscription and usually place a coffee pickup order in the morning. Just large coffees with cream and sugar. Before I even get to the restaurant I always have an email saying my order is ready. Despite this, I can't remember the last time I waited less than 15 minutes to have my coffee brought out. COFFEE! Several times I've had to call in and speak to someone to bring it out and it still takes several minutes, even when it's dead there. Unbelievable. I love and adore Panera but this specific location seems to be struggling since the remodel. We've ordered from there 3 times in the last month or so and all of the three orders had something wrong. Like I said, my entire family loves Panera so the first time we thought it was just a hiccup. The second time we thought maybe they're still working on training post remodel. The third time is just the last straw. I think the management should be doing quality checks on the orders until this gets corrected. This final order came with a grilled sandwich that never even made it on the grill. The second panini ordered wasn't even the right type of sandwich. We'll have to save fulfilling our Panera cravings when we travel out of town, this location just isn't cutting it. read more

I just visited the Penara in Mishawaka and was very dissapointed with the whole experience. There is no menu to even look at, you are only able to order food by punching order into a computer, drinks are self serve and water is even $1.99 and bottle only. You pay before you even see your food and other than a person handing you a plate.....you are never even spoken to by a human being. This puts a new spin on CUSTOMER SERVICE. I won't be back and cannot recommend to anyone. It cost $27 for two half sandwiches and 1 cup of soup with a small salad....rediculous!!! read more

Just ate there and am very disappointed. The Broccoli cheese soup is always good but the Thai Chicken salad was gross. The lettuce Was wilted and the chicken was old. Also ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with ham. This sandwich was terrible. No cheese on one side and the ham was on the other. Very dry and tasteless at 8.79. I might as well bend over. Be sure to check your to-go order completely before leaving! One of the worst Paneras I've ever been to. And that's saying a lot, as I eat at Panera 3-4 times a week while traveling for business. I enjoy the consistency and its fast without being fast food. Perfect for a traveler looking for something familiar. I've been to at least 30 different locations across the country this year and this location was the first to make me consider looking for a new choice. I ate here twice. I shouldn't have, based on my first experience, but I love Panera and thought maybe it was just an off day. First day (drive thru) - ordered a Greek salad with chicken and a diet Pepsi. What I got - Greek salad, no chicken with Caesar dressing. And a regular pepsi. I was already back at my hotel 15 minutes away when I discovered this. Color me unhappy. Checked my receipt and I was charged for what I'd ordered, not the crap I received. Second day - ordered a ham & Swiss sandwich. Didn't modify it. Went inside this time in case drive thru was the issue. Looked in the bag before leaving - all looked ok. What I got - a turkey & Swiss sandwich. When I unwrapped the sandwich in my hotel room I wasn't sure if I was more upset with myself for not completely checking or with them for not making me what I'd ordered 2 days in a row! I've never had issues like this with any other Panera and for it to happen two times in one week is absolutely unheard of and is not just a coincidence. I hope they get it together. I go here quite often for breakfast because the souffles are to DIE for. The only sad thing is that a lot of times they are out of them. On this visit though, I felt like I hit the jackpot because when I ordered two souffles they let me know that they had both! We usually get the ham and swiss... though the spinach and mozzarella one catches my eye from time to time (I'll have to try it soon!!) And this time I got a four cheese one as well. Both were absolutely delicious (I snuck a few bites of my daughters!) I paired my souffle with an iced vanilla latte. It was a little too much on the sweet side for me but gave me the burst of caffeine needed to start my day! The service is always pleasant and quick. I guess this will be my one review dedicated to the dozens of meals I've enjoyed at Panera Bread's across the Midwest. I'll break it down into 3 categories: Breakfast: If you are looking for a "sweet" bagel, Panera is your place. The French Toast bagel is particularly good if you are going for that. As far as my taste is concerned, I'm looking for a more savory bagel--something with smoked salmon, or chive and onion--not so much sugar, syrup and cream cheese. I've learned to enjoy their breakfast sandwiches. The sausage always tastes kind of funky, but, for some reason, I order it every time. Lunch: When I'm on the road and I want something that is a sure thing (and not greasy!) for lunch, Panera is my go to spot. To me, it doesn't get much better than the Italian Combo with a cup of Broccoli Cheddar soup. Oh, and I used to love their Mac & Cheese--until I realized I'd be nutritionally just as well off eating 2 Big Macs. FREE INTERNET: This, my friends, is Panera's biggest win. If you are ever in the need for internet, just search out the nearest Panera Bread and they are guaranteed to have it! And, for the countless times I've stopped in here to use the internet for 10 minutes, without a purchase, I've never once been confronted. Thanks Panera!! read more

I travel for work all over the U.S. and like Panera for their lunch on the go with a tea or coffee. However, this is the first and only Panera location that does not and refuses to carry Splenda! Had to go to McDonalds after for my Iced Tea the way I like it, the customer. read more

I went to Panera Bread a couple weeks ago and ordered a salad. They told me they didn't have ranch but had something similar, so I ordered that instead. When I got my food, I realized I didn't like the salad dressing, so we told one of the employees and he offered to bring me a different dressing, to which I said sure! He ended up being out every single dressing they had in little sample cups... and I unfortunately didn't like any of them. I felt so horrible but he was so nice about it. He even let me order something completely different. Later we found out that this employee was one of the managers, named Stephen. So thank you, Stephen! Love a couple things here. It is a nice, clean restaurant. Staff is always friendly. Hubby loves the soups. Sierra Turkey sandwich can't be beat. Chocolate pastry is excellent! Don't love that they are ouch! expensive, always overly busy, and all-too-often your food is wrong. I'm willing to put up with a lot, but really expensive, yet wrong food? Nope. I remember back in the day I used to go panera bread all the time especially in between classes. But in more recent times I've noticed you dont get as good of a deal on food in comparison to price as you would've a few years back. Meaning I used to get the soup and sandwich meal, a person would get a WHOLE sandwich with their soup and everything was all good for a nice price. Now.......... if you order the same thing the price had increased by about 35%!!!!!! For the same DAMN THING!! Wow what a shame. In my opinion either A: you go there eat their food and look at it as a nice snack, or B: you better be on a diet and not care about having small portions. Over all my honest advice is don't expect to leave with a full belly unless you shell out extra money. Your better off going to mancino's, or the deli in the martins stores. The Mediterranean Chicken and Quinoa salad is my favorite! I love this place because many of their entrees are good for you and they taste great! Our grandkids love Panera. We love my grandkids. So we eat at Panera frequently. We still enjoy the food even though it's more expensive than any fast food. However, it's been almost impossible to find seating lately. We've had to grab whatever nook we could find. And we've watched people walk around with full food trays looking for seating. Problem is all the students & loungers on WiFi who spend time doing their thing long after their meals or drinks are done. We expect this at coffee shops. Had a late-ish lunch here. 1:30p and the place was still hopping. Cashier was ready, but told us they don't serve breakfast all day. So we asked for a recommendation and was told "theYou Pick 2: Bacon Turkey Bravo sandwich and Broccoli Cheddar soup. Sandwich was delicious. The soup was, unfortunately, warm, not hot, and had that unappealing, yogurt texture often found in "cream" soups these days. It was tasty, but disappointing.
