We did decide to eat here instead so walked in the place was very well lit up, super bright & vibrant in there which was nice. I guess I'm use to the one in walnut which is pretty dark & moody lol This one was cute, & clean. We got helped right away by a sweet employee wish I could remember her name! She was super helpful & nice throughout our experience. I love a you pick 2, that's my usual go to. This review is more cumulative (since its opening about 2 years ago). Honestly not much to say other than a pretty serviceable location for when I had my Sip Club membership (loved getting the hibiscus tea with my cookies, and the occasional sandwich/salad combo). The big ding I'll give it is once in a while there would be a long line in the drive thru for no reason, sometimes taking upwards of 20 minutes with little movement (usually occurred in the evenings). Otherwise, service is as expected (only visited the dining room once or twice-- pretty clean and well kept overall). But yea, fix up the traffic flow for drive thru, if haven't done so. read more

Thank you to Liliana, for her excellent customer service today! I used the Panera app to order Southwest chicken salad and chips for pickup---it was ready when predicted at 12:09. The issue? I somehow ordered it at Montclair instead of my usual La Verne. So I ordered it again at La Verne and went to pick it up. I didn't want the salad at Montclair to go to waste, so I called, told them my mistake, and asked that they give it away rather than waste a perfectly good salad. Liliana answered cheerfully and asked if I wanted a refund. I said, " well that would be super nice but it was my error, so is that possible?" She kindly asked her manager and the manager said yes, take my info! She patiently took my info and then wished me a good day. 1st of all, I didnt realize this location was here so its super convenient. The dining room was very clean and roomy. Lots of big windows and tall ceilings to make it feel so open. It also has a great outdoor seating area available. The order kiosk is what greets you soon as you walk in so u can decide what you want right there. Their menu has gotten bigger over the years and the food has just better. Its been a while since I ate PB so this was a good treat. Tbh, I wasn't even planning on eating here as an option but as I was going thru my late wife's closet, I found a brand new gift card her old boss (thank u so much Ms Penny! ) had given her over 6years ago. Panera Bread in Montclair is now open for business. Wahoo! I came here for a very quick lunch yesterday. I usually do drive-thru, but this time, I decided to walk-in. So glad I did. It has quite an open space with lots of seating inside and some limited patio seating outside. Tables were clean with the exception of a few with crumbs. Their trash bin area has 3 compartments. I get confused on which bin to place what in. The labels need to be clear as to what the items are... most of the time, they are not because they use the formal names like organics, mixed recyclables, waste and not the simple names like plates, utensils, napkins, food LOL. They had 3 self-ordering kiosks and one or two registers at the counter. Fountain and other drinks station is equipped with a variety of choices such as soda, juices, tea, and coffee. Sip Happy! Rapid pick-up and delivery pick-up are along the wall at the back corner. Utensils are readily available near the counter pick-up area. They have it all figured out. Great job! I ordered via the kiosk. I got their Caesar Salad & Homestyle Chicken Noodle Soup for $8+. But I only paid $1+ because I had a $7 discount in my Panera rewards account (thanks!). Cool, Happy Birthday to me! LOL Portion was perfect! Not too much and not too little. Salad was good, but wished there was more salad and less croutons LOL. Caesar salad dressing was well balanced in flavor. Soup was delicious... got good strips of chicken and good amount of noodles. Glad I got more solids than liquids. Well done! I'll definitely return here for more good eats in the future. They have a screen that shows all the current orders so you can track your order. Nice! Glad this location opened near me. It has a drive thru so it's perfect for when I'm feeling lazy. I order ahead and pick up through the drive thru. Just keep in mind that people do also order at the box so you could end up waiting for their food to be prepped even if you ordered ahead. Yesterday I was craving something comforting food so my go-to is the broccoli cheddar soup. It always hits the spot. I also got the Chipotle chicken avocado sandwich with some extra veggies. I have never been more disappointed in a restaurant especially Panera. I've ordered this sandwich at Panera Upland MANY TIMES and it's big, full of veggies, and HALF a sandwich. This location is a joke. You can see how TINY it is. This looks like 1/3 sandwich. The inside has one tiny piece of tomato and the fact that it's the same size as the sandwich itself. Panera in my opinion has some flavorful food options and their breads are very good. But recently I've notice they are always out of something, like sausage for breakfast sandwich, a cheese type , sauce or a specific bread. One of my biggest complaint is that they do not fill sandwiches with thier meats. Like for example the Chipotle Chicken Avo melt will only have 4 tiny pieces of chicken if that and is barely noticeable that you will open it up thinking they forget to put chicken. I would have them correct any issues I had put it started to become a repetitive thing which made me fill like I was the problem and as a customer you should never have to fill that way especially because they need you you really don't need them. So I switch locations and It was no different than the one I frequent. I will no longer be supporting any Panera Bread restaurants. read more

Opened recently and it's been amazing! Fresh bread and their wraps are great. I appreciate how they have a microwave for public use. Very helpful staff and great customer service. Drive thru is so efficient and can get quite busy but there is plenty of parking available so sometimes I prefer to park and walk in. Wifi available and maybe tables and indoor and outdoor seating I appreciate the bike stand so I can lock my bike when I ride. Very convenient spot and 10/10 would recommend. Had a $70 order and they couldn't break $100... at 2:30pm... the middle of a lunch rush, after I just watched them take at least $40 from the customers in front of us. The owner (manager? He was not in uniform) was condescending to me and my partner. I work a service job, so I get it. I have a lot of empathy for the employees-- they were so apologetic and sweet. Food was pretty good except that soup that I had which was like a yoki soup that was really good. However I'm leaving a 4 star not because of the food but a good amount of the tables were dirty when we entered. Other than that the atmosphere was really quiet and nice but kind of reminded me of a college cafeteria in a good way.
