Love the bagels. Wish there's a bit of consistency in size. I'm sure they weighed the same.

This bad boy is a cheese onion, they don't skimp on either ingredient!

OMG!! The bagel place on foothill in Laverne just moved to new ownership and got rid of a whole bunch of beloved bagels...... Lucky for me I found this place and they have a greater variety and even greater overall bagel satisfaction!! I was like a kid in a candy shop! Pumpernickel, onion and cheese, Italian..... see the photos. Great tasting dough, they were boiled to perfection before baking.... Perfect skin and chew!!!!! Fantastic self serve iced tea, this is a biggie for me too!! Service is fast and friendly. Cool vibe inside with plenty of tables, no need to wrestle for them. Finding this place and going there was one of the highlights of the last few months. I am So Stoked!!

This has been my favorite bagel place since the 90's. I do remember they played with a bigger variety of bagel flavors compared to today. I haven't been here at least 13 years and I was in town with my daughter so we decided to get a bagel and coffee here for breakfast. The restaurant is exactly how I remembered it and the service is still exceptional. I got the garlic bagel with the salmon/lox spread. It was just as good as how I remembered it. Thank you for keeping this place awesome. Until next time!

I came by 42nd Street Bagel Cafe with my fiancé when we were just walking by after getting coffee. We noticed the long line and wanted to see what the hype was about. I will say that it was quite busy and the line was long but it went by super fast! There is quite a selection of bagels that they seem to make fresh everyday. Be sure to come early in the morning if you want a specific bagel. They tend to run out of certain bagels by the end of the morning. We both got a jalapeño cheese BLT bagel and it was just so delicious! I like how the bagels come with a side option which is very nice! I chose the veggies and my fiancé got the fruit. I also really like how the theme of the cafe is based off 42nd street in New York. It took me a second to put together when I was dining inside and all the decor had Broadway shows everywhere. Super cool! Definitely coming back here if I'm craving bagels

Nice location in the Claremont village with an assortment of fresh bagels, cream cheese, sandwiches and oatmeal as well as a variety of coffee and espresso based drinks. Staff is always pleasant and service is quick. Can get very busy so bring patience. Decor is cute and inviting with limited budget n door and outdoor seating. Great place for a quick Sunday morning bite

Here once again, for some awesome bagels. Came here at 11:30 am and their selection of bagels diminished to only a few. Got their "Everything Bagel" and their "Sesame Wheat" Bagel. Both toasted, tasted great.

Got a bagel with egg, cheese, bacon & sausage. So good. Great spot for a quick breakfast, but also a place you can stay for an hour and hang out.

I'm a big fan of bagels, so maybe I'm a little biased but the bagels here are seriously good! I tried the jalapeño cheese bagel with lox, and it was absolutely delicious. My husband got the same, but with onions added, and he loved it too. The shop was clean, the staff was friendly, and the overall vibe was welcoming. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in the area!

Close up of lettuce which looks old and dirty !!!

My wife ordered me a sandwich to go because I had to take my son to a ice cream event close by. I took the box that was packed for me which had a croissant sandwich and a salad packed. I got home and was disgusted by what I saw , old dirty lettuce and mauled bagels as if someone had bitten into it. I couldn't believe this garbage was over $10, it's a shame that small business are treating customers like trash in these difficult times. Look at the pics attached !wont go here again

What I appreciated about this place is that they didn't advertise as "New York style bagels." I'm not going to expand on that. I was hesitant when I first walked in because I really had a taste for a bagel, and I didn't want to be disappointed. I asked the young man at the register if they had plain bagels because it didn't appear as if there were any in the display. He said, "Yes," and I ordered exactly that. He was really nice and appeared to have a pleasant demeanor of curiosity as to why I ordered it plain, pointing out available options. After he handed it to me, I looked in the bag at it and, I told myself to not judge the taste based on its appearance. Im glad I didn't! It was a very good bagel. Surprisingly crispy on the outside, a little chewy, yet still fluffy on the inside. I'm sorry, thats the best way for ME to explain it. You may be wondering where that little bit of hesitation mentioned above came from right? Well, if not, I'm going to tell you anyway. The bagel, at presentation was a little too light for me. But, when I took it home, sliced it open, popped it in the toaster, and spread a heaping amount of butter on it , like I like it, It was just perfect. So much, that I returned the next morning. The consistency from one day to the next was on point. Thank you for an amazing bagel 5th ave Bagelry.

One day, I finally decided to stop in and see what all the hype was about. I got there right when they opened, so there was literally no one there. I took a look at the menu and ordered an apple fritter and a ham and cheese breakfast bagel. The shop itself is really nice. It's your classic neighborhood donut shop--clean, well-kept, with indoor seating and its own parking lot. Now, let's talk about the bagels... Oh my God--they are SO good! I've been back about three times now, and every visit has been just as delicious as the last. When I say they're not stingy with the eggs, ham, or cheese, I'm not kidding. They really load these bagels up, and every bite is worth it. I'm sorry I didn't post any pictures, but trust me--the photos that are already on here don't lie. Everything I've ordered has been absolutely delicious. This is exactly the kind of neighborhood bagel shop you hope to find. Whether you're stopping by for a fresh bagel, a donut, or even lunch, they've got plenty of options, including sandwiches, and everything I've tried has been excellent. I honestly can't recommend this place enough. It easily earns five stars from me. And like I always say, if you're in the area, this is definitely a place you need to check out!

Service here is consistently warm, upbeat, and efficient--no fuss, just good energy from the moment you walk in. Pair that with one of their fresh donuts or a toasted bagel and you're in a very good place. Only knock--and it's a real one--is the early 1 PM closing time. You've got to plan ahead, because once they're closed, that's it. It's a bit of a tease considering they also offer lunch sandwiches. All that said, this spot absolutely earns its reputation. Thank you! ** It's been awhile since I've been here. They have everything from bagels to donuts to fresh squeezed juices to sandwiches to scratchers for sale here, but the best thing here is the family who owns it. Kimmy in particular is so friendly and remembers you. She'll make sure your bagel or sandwich is just how you like it. For example, today I ordered a croissant BLT and requested the bacon to be extra crispy. I don't know if she baked it or what but it was not only crispy, it was also not too greasy. I prefer green leafy lettuce over iceberg but you know what? On a hot day like today, it was good enough--watery and crispy and just right with the rest of the BLT, mustard no mayo. Mmmmm. I took pictures of the one wall because I think it's great that a men's club regularly meets here. Men need best friends and confidantes as much as women do, but often seem to have a harder time initiating or keeping in touch with them. So, well done, Miss Donuts for providing a safe and inviting location for men to meet regularly over some yummy food!

There's a set of steps with pillows on each step with a block of about six outlets beside them, and a really comfy, sinky couch (plus an ottoman and two comfy looking armchairs and a big table in the middle) with a set of two outlets on the wall and a star shaped power strip sticking out of the ground with six outlets coming out of it. There are also regular tables and it seems like there are outlets beside them as well. WIFI: The wifi is open (no password necessary), even though they have a password listed where you pick up your food (it's just Sanctuary Coffee). I tried to use one of the locked ones (the only one that made sense), but the wifi password didn't work, so I'm not sure why they have one listed. Regardless, albeit not the fastest wifi I've ever used, it's incredibly doable. I have been working remote here for 1.5 hrs and had almost no issues. MENU: For LA, relatively cheap. I am not a coffee or tea drinker, so I got the peach Italian soda, which was yummy. I believe it was about $4.89, which is not bad at all. I went to And Destroy in the Highland Park-ish area, and I believe an Italian soda with cream (cream is free here) was maybe $7-8. I'm used to paying more for drinks because the specialty (non coffee and tea) drinks are usually pricey, but this was one of the cheapest things on the menu. Also, you can claim a free pastry with your email and first name on their website (it sends you a voucher, just show the email). I got the banana bread, which was fine. I would've gotten zucchini, but it wasn't chocolate chip zucchini. ATMOSPHERE: Not too loud, the music is nice and chill and not very loud. There's cute art on the walls and homey looking lamps. It's the quintessential living room coffee shop, perhaps even rivaling Republik Coffee in Burbank in comfiness, noise level, aesthetic, and price (which is a bummer, because I likely will never be back - we just happened to be in North Pomona today, and I have no idea when we'd ever elect to drive this far again LOL). PARKING: It's in a little strip mall, so there's an actual aboveground lot with plenty of free parking (at least I think it's free, I got dropped off so I didn't pay much attention). Overall, I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking to cowork in a cozy atmosphere for relatively cheap in the North Pomona area. It checks all of my boxes except distance from home. I hope this review helps someone, because I always try to find this information on Yelp about new places to visit and it can be very difficult to find! BATHROOM: I believe there are two single person bathrooms like not stalls just one bathroom. Cute art and aesthetic inside, there are hooks on the walls for your stuff. The air dryer was not very strong and there were no paper towels or seat covers, but other than that there was a nice faucet and cute nice soap like homey soap you'd see in someone's house, and the lock worked fine.
