This afternoon I ordered 2 large group sizes items, a salad, and a loaf a bread for pick up. In the app, my pick up time said 1:08PM but I arrived a little early to get my food and the kitchen staff had put it out nice and early, right at 1:03PM. At the pick up counter, Sam S greeted me kindly and informed me of all the little bowls, soup spoons, and other misc utensils that she had made sure to pack in the bag. Over all, I am extremely pleased with this location's general swiftness and welcoming environment that I was presented with. My order came out quick and everything went very well for a busy Saturday afternoon lunch rush. Although on the other hand, I would give 2 stars if I could if it didn't impact the image of this specific location as my grip is with Panera the company as a whole and not this place. I am very upset with Panera's choice to cut back on the chicken and completely swap out the gorgonzola cheese for feta cheese in their Fuji apple chicken salad. Panera says it's a new recipe but the flavors have been cut back and altered all while still paying the same price. They have done this with other salads too as far as I know but not sure the exact changes of the others yet. I t know that it's more of a let down because the Gorgonzola flavor absence in the Fuji Apple Chicken salad is a whole other alternative that was unnecessary to the dish. I hope that they can consider going back to the original recipe because I know I am not the only one who is upset about this change. read more

ZERO STARS if I could - ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. I ordered a large order for myself and coworkers, total of 5 meals. Of those 5 meals, only 4 were delivered. The meal not delivered was my meal. I contacted the store and spoke with the manager Liz who informed me that she could only offer me a refund for the cost of the meal $10.19 and little more $9.81 to cover the cost of the delivery/tip and it will take 7-10 business days before I see the refund. They could not replace the meal and send someone to deliver my lunch. So here I sit here at work without lunch while the rest of my co-workers enjoy their meals. Whoever is at this location should be doing a double-check of all delivery order to ensure ALL ITEMS are in the bag before sealing it up so that these types of things don't happen. Panera should cover the cost of replacing a meal and cover the cost of the delivery on the day it occurs. Put better policies in place to make your paying customers happy. It feels like this it poor thought gone into making the food here. What's the point of allowing your customers to customize their order if you're not going to try anything at all to add what they want. Multiple times that I have come, there has either been an order mix up or they aren't meeting the customizations I'm asking for. The workers are nice, the ambiance is relaxing but the effort to meet customer standards isn't really there, they need retraining on attention to detail and striving to give more to those who give them business. read more

Panera Bread is overpriced for no flavors in there soup and sandwiches. Specially their chicken dippers. Sure looks good on TV but when I bought it, the dipping sauce tasted like a can of soup you get at the store with no flavor and the sandwich was just thrown together with half of the sandwich had very little chicken and the other half of the sandwich had more chicken and a big blob of cheese. Obviously whoever's putting those sandwiches together doesn't care so back to the sandwich. The meat was bland. The basil spread was nasty and that's basically all you get for 15 bucks. Then I ordered a French onion soup on the side and it was the worst I've ever seen. They had just little spots of cheese and 20 croutons on top of some salty nasty onion. Panera took a Doordash order without issue, accepted/took payment. Order was scheduled and was for a group of people. Dasher gets there, advises they ran out of the food that was ordered and was to be delivered to workers, having to work out in the inclimate weather. Poor professionalism and lack of follow through. I received an online order at the drive through and it was incorrect. I followed the instructions on the app to correct the problem. It says 5-7 days for a response but nobody ever responded. I followed up a couple of weeks later and got the same 5-7 day hurry up and wait response. Finally over a month later I got a response from jade stating that she did in fact respond originally and she was sorry that I didn't get her response. As if I caused the delay. Just really unprofessional. Ultimately, she failed to establish any bit of resolve. It blemishes the Panera brand as mediocre when I believe they are capable of being amongst the front runners. Customer service is the bloodline for any business wishing to succeed/survive in today's market. read more

The service was off this morning! I placed a mobile order for drive-thru pick-up and waited 6 minutes behind two cars. The first car must have been ordered at the window. Once that order was complete, there was a 30-second time lapse between the orders. The server could have asked the first car to pull into one of their two designated stalls to get the other four vehicles moving. In my opinion, that's good customer service. read more

First time here at the new location.Ive never had any Panera anywhere so I ordered a sausage and eggs with ciabatta bread and received my order through the drive thru and they gave me a croissant ham and cheese sandwich. So by the time I realize it I had to turn back around and go back . This location frustrates me so much! The drive thru alone is a bad idea so now we order for dining pick up but they take forever! You're given an estimated pick up time and it's never ready on time. Sometimes they notify you but the last two times I've had to wait an extra 15-20min! They have 5-6 employees in the back and it's like they're never on the same page. I ordered for rapid pick up on the app. Had to wait 15min after my designated time. I paid for an iced coffee to be made a specific way, they never told me it was ready. So while they took forever to get my bagel and muffin, my iced coffee was just sitting there. By the time I got it, it was watered down. This location is not far from my home but I rather make the drive to north Upland where they never give me any issues. read more

The saddest Panera bread I ever been soup was cold asked for another it was also cold they told me to use the microwave out front the area was nasty !! This is a new Panera so it's supposed to show the latest and greatest the company has to offer... that would be nice if they actually tried to show that. This open concept building is ugly. It's cold and uninviting, the chairs are designed in a way so you get uncomfortable in 5 mins so you get up and leave. Gone are the days of doing some work on your computer while drinking a coffee. very disappointing. The front door sounds and slams like if it was 20 yrs old? Like I thought this was a new store? The heat in this place is CRAZY like 80+degrees inside bc the oven is right next to the register. There's like no ac so good luck staying there to eat, but hey that's probably the point since Panera wants no one to be inside anymore. Came on a Friday evening. Only one car ahead of me. They took a very long time to even give the car his order, 12 mins. When I got to the window, they said that they had not even put in my order. Not apologetic just asked if I wanted to get the order in. I had already waited so told them to go ahead. Not only that I planned it to be able to enjoy my meal while my 4 month old was calm. So I've been to this Panera twice and had no issues, until I ordered ahead and chose to pick up @ the drive thru. There were 2 cars ahead and I had to wait 30 minutes in the evening. My order was delayed and I'm glad I ordered a salad for my wife and not a hot sandwich. The manager needs to figure out fast who is better @ the drive thru because the service is not good. I understand that they just opened up but I'll tell you this it's better to either go inside to order or if you need to order ahead go inside to pick up it will save you time. The ambiance inside is ok too small in my opinion. I think they made a mistake in not making like the Panera in La Verne. read more

Cody who I believe was on drive through spoke to me in a passive aggressive tone and had an attitude when I asked what came in the chicken bacon rancher. I normally frequent the Fontana location for my morning coffee, but after this experience I will not be returning to this location.
