    Caramel Latte
    Canary H.

I was not a fan of this place. I'm surprised it has numerous high ratings, when I felt as if it could have been better. Parking is a bit horrific with the construction going on. There's only two entry points to the restaurant, and the roads could be fixed. The parking is located in the back of the restaurant. I had come in with colleagues to get breakfast here. All four of us had decided to order their Good Morning Burrito which came with your choice of a side, pico de gallo, and sour cream. My choice of side was their hash browns. I had also ordered a caramel latte to go with my meal. When the food came out, I was fairly excited to eat. Yet, within my first bite of the hash browns, I was immediately disappointed. It tasted like crunchy nothing. There wasn't any seasoning on their hash browns, so I had to douse it in ketchup, salt, and pepper. I then took a bite out of my burrito, and this time I was surprised; the burrito was extremely bland. No seasoning or flavor. Not even a pinch of salt. When I used the green sauce and sour cream with it, it didn't make my burrito any better. My meal was lackluster and disappointing. The latte also wasn't the best; I couldn't taste the coffee in it. I don't think I'd come back to this restaurant. The servers were sweet, but inconsistent with their billing and weren't consistent with how they talked to us and gotten our orders. Their food wasn't good and it's a bit difficult to park here. The interior was also lacking, but I can assume this place is just a regular, long term, local restaurant that has become a part of the neighborhood's routine.

Stopped by for brunch on a weekday. Was thankfully able to park easily. The inside is spacious and cozy. Service was attentive and great. Originally, got an omelette with hash browns and their famous lemon ricotta pancakes. Portions are large and omelette was delicious. Personally, I didn't like the pancakes because they were super mushy (apparently the batter has ricotta which causes that texture.) However, they were so accommodating and swapped it for the regular blueberry pancakes, which were amazing. Will definitely be back!

Amazing service from Berlin M.! She is a sweetheart from the moment we walked in until the very end of the service. I was unsure about which chilaquiles sauce to choose and she suggested getting both. She is so helpful and never made it seem tedious to help us. On top of that, the food was a 10/10 and it came fast with BIG portions. Anyways, if you go here, definitely request for Berlin to help you!

Steak and eggs- by the time I remembered to take a pic I had eaten half. It was good.

Came here for a work breakfast. They had a large table ready for our large party. Service was attentive and excellent for the occasion. I didn't need to ask for my water to be refilled. They just did it. Same with others who had coffee. They just kept it coming which was nice. We all ordered and the food came out pretty quick. I had steak and eggs and it was pretty tasty. Everyone in our group was pretty happy with their food except for the omelettes. The 2 who ordered that wasn't impressed. They have a private parking lot so plenty of space. The extra bonus was despite having a large party they did separate checks for everyone without any complaints! I would definitely come back.

Really big servings and great service! Letty was quick and efficient. Very clean and seated quickly. We ordered the Lemon pancakes, the Classic Breakfast, the Biscuits and Gravy breakfast and coffee and iced tea. The food was delicious and freshly made. Did I say that the servings were huge. Very tasty and good five stars

Breakfast here is amazing. The diner style ambiance makes it feel like you can come anytime and there will be something yummy waiting for you. We were a party of 8 everyone got exactly what they ordered.Mayneth was our server and she was sweet and efficient we got everything we asked for and all the food was hot and delicious. Even their coffee and Jamaica was fancy the presentation is so pretty you almost hate to ruin it.

Came in for breakfast with two friends and was greeted by staff that seemed happy to be there. We were seated quickly even though it was busy. We ordered a strawberry lemonade, regular lemonade, and iced tea. The strawberry lemonade was pretty good, they use fresh strawberries and lemonade. Their lemonade and iced tea were solid, nothing that jumped out at us but not bad. I saw a mango refresher that I think I'll try next time. We ordered chilaquiles, a brioche breakfast sandwich with country potatoes, and a chicken and waffle benedict with hashbrowns. We thoroughly enjoyed the country potatoes that came with the breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was also quite delicious. The chilaquiles were great and definitely worth a try if you like that kind of food. It comes with your choice of carne asada or chicken and a plate of rice and beans. The chicken and waffles benedict was phenomenal. The eggs were perfectly poached and the chicken and waffles was crispy and tasty. The hashbrowns were pretty good, nothing special. The interior is nice and the place is lively with music playing in the background. Service was great and prices are pretty good too. I would recommend this place 100%!!

This restaurant looks like an old coco's or carrows with a bakery with tons of great baked goods! We came on Thanksgiving morning and were lucky it wasn't super packed. It's a pretty big restaurant with plenty of tables and booths. The menu is big and has plenty to offer! The portions are big and everything was delicious! Service was great with our friendly server checking in on us plenty and many other staff members working as a team! You need to come in to try the bronco potato pancakes and the chilaquiles! So Good!!!

Country Fried Steak ($18.25 - Close Up)

I had a good experience at Corner Grill & Bakery (Claremont). I ordered the Country Fried Steak ($18.25). It's filling, well-seasoned, and cooked well. I arrived at Corner Grill & Bakery (Claremont) on Monday (around 9:35AM). Parking is easy. There's a big, rear lot. Staff is welcoming, professional, and hardworking. Staff immediately greeted and seated me. Staff also worked smoothly like clockwork. Although different members visited my table, each had a clear and distinct role. My food arrived in four minutes and 57 seconds. That's crazy quick! I appreciated the Country Fried Steak ($18.25). It came with (2) eggs any style; I selected scrambled. It also came with hash browns and buttered sourdough toast. I enjoyed the Country Fried Steak's gravy. It's well-seasoned and savory. The breading is also light and airy which added a welcomed texture. Its meat is also hot and thick. The scrambled eggs and hash browns were also hearty. The hash browns had a crisp crust with very soft potatoes. However, the scrambled eggs tasted bland and a little rubbery. Still, all the ingredients tasted clean. Regarding ambiance, Corner Grill & Bakery (Claremont) is welcoming & clean. I appreciated the smiling staff, shiny tables, and well-maintained walls & furniture. There's also several flat screen televisions playing the sport channel. In addition, I appreciated how there's high chairs for families. The music is also soft and retro. Overall, I had a good experience at Corner Grill & Bakery (Claremont). There's visible effort within this diner, and that's always a pleasant sign. The food is affordable, filling, and clean. 4.5 out of 5

They've got indoor and outdoor seating and they seemed a touch understaffed for being a beautiful day. It was also a Tuesday lunchtime so maybe they weren't expecting it to be as busy as it was. We were able to prove the menu before we got seated. And our super friendly server came out and we were able to order right away. They've got a lunch special. That is a small personal pizza with a salad and we each got that. Salads came out first and I had the arugula salad, which was absolutely phenomenal. 10 of 10 would eat this every single day. The arugula was peppery and it was well dressed in a lemon vinaigrette type sauce. I am a fan of just plain lemon on mine, but this was delicious. My husband got a union salad, which is their specialty I guess. It's got colored carrots and some beets and some shallots. I thought the dressing was bland and it certainly needed salt and pepper. We asked for both and didn't get either. Our pieces came out and they were nice and woodfired. I feel like they could've been done just a little bit longer maybe a minute or two. The sauce was a lovely fresh type crushed tomato sauce. The cheese was nice and gooey and did not feel or taste like a package of processed cheese. Pepperonis were greasy, but in a real meat kind of way. I had to dab mine, but my husband just went to town on his. The pickled peppers is a pickled jalapeño. Big chunks of them. They certainly didn't skimp on any of the toppings. They were a little sweet and a little hot. Some of the big chunks were a little too sweet for my liking but overall, it was a nice flavor mix Also from a size standpoint, I thought the salad and pizza were very adequate for lunch at around $20 price point I asked for salt and pepper again as well as a side of ranch. This time we did get the salt and pepper as well as cheese and crushed red pepper. But we didn't get the ranch until we were leaving. The server did apologize and said he thought someone else was bringing it out but I pretty much deducted a star because we asked for a couple different things that never came. Overall, the service was super friendly, the ambience was nice for an outdoor lunch thought. I thought the menu looked delicious and there were several things I would like to come back and try and I would go back again.

It was so underwhelming. 2 eggs cooked differently, one over hard, one over easy, 5-6 potato pieces and the steak was thin, overcooked, and appeared to be a cheap cut of meat. A New York cut would have been great. Wife mentioned norms has better steak and eggs. Called and spoke with a manager Stephanie, not looking for anything, but to express disappointment in the meal for the high price. She offered to mail a gift card for us and invited us back. Took all of my information and never received it. Thanks anyway. Don't think we'll be back.

We came on a weekend and it was super busy (as it should be honestly with how amazing the food and service are). We got the blackened salmon with penne pasta and baby potatoes, and the flat iron steak with bow tie pasta and herb brown rice. The steak was cooked perfectly medium. The bow tie pasta is served cold and has a vinegary flavor to it, definitely a distinct taste, but I personally loved it because I enjoy sour/vinegary flavors. I can see why it might not be everyone's favorite though, but I personally really enjoyed it. The salmon was also super flavorful and cooked perfectly. Same with the penne pasta and potatoes. Honestly everything was just made really well and good. For the sauce, we got their popular jalapeno garlic sauce and it paired well with absolutely everything. Needless to say, this place was really good from head to toe. I also got to meet the owner and he was super friendly too. I seriously wish they would open one closer to my area. I ordered blackened salmon with couscous as I saw the reviews that salmon is really good and garlic apple aioli to pair with. we find our own seats inside as it's hot outside, and waited for our food. as it turns out the salmon is pretty good, it's on the thin side but not too dry. lots of couscous that I couldn't finish the plate. garlic apple aioli pairs well with the dish too. my friend and her 12yo son ordered blackened tofu-+salad, and grilled shrimps+penne pasta. the tofu doesn't look very appetizing, and the salad is normal bowl size, not too big, compared to couscous and the pasta sides. the grilled shrimps comes on 1 screwer but looks pretty good as well. price is not too expensive, considering the inflation now. they do have a bar but we only got water. overall it's a relaxing place to catchup with friends, if you don't mind the music is on the louder side.

The jalapeño jam served with the cornbread was absolute perfection, sweet with just the right amount of heat. The Jalapeño Cheddar Smoked Sausage was easily one of my favorites. The Southern Fried Chicken was incredibly crispy, and both my toddler and I couldn't get enough of the mac and cheese. Gus's offers great value for the quality of food you get.
