I have been a fan of Panera Bread for years. I've gone to many locations throughout the US and always had great food and service. Their food is fresh and hot and served quickly. Order pickup is quick and easy and you can do that online as well. They have bakers dozen Tuesday, which I do occasionally and it's 13 bagels for $6.99. You can mix and match and customize, so it's nice for a get together breakfast or just to stock up on bagels and freeze. My only complaint is this: I recently wanted to do a delivery order to a business as a thank you. For regular delivery, they did not deliver to that address, however, when I tried to do a catering order, they did deliver to that address. The only issue is that catering orders have to be a $50 minimum and I was no where close to spending that much. I find it pretty silly to deliver there for catering, but not regular delivery. I understand it needing to be worth their time, so maybe put a $25 minimum and add delivery fee, or something like that. I would use it frequently if they had that option for when I want to send a thank you or when we have out of town guests. I did email Panera and they explained to me what I just detailed and that's fine I guess. It's not too far away, so rapid pick up isn't a total inconvenience, but I wanted to send bagels to the business around 8am and that didn't work for my schedule so I had to use another business. read more

The employees here were extremely rude and unprofessional. My food was served cold, and when I asked for it to be remade, they complained about it right in front of me. I'm so disappointed in Panera for the first time ever. Actually angry about the experience because they totally did not care about the standard of presentation typically given when making their food. First, I'm not sure if something changed but I thought every half sandwich half salad meal came with a choice of chips or baguette. This was never offered, I had to go back and specify what we wanted with the meals. Then, I opened up my 'half' of a sandwich which was lazily sprawled onto the wrapping. Not only did I actually have to remake my sandwich, this 'half' was no bigger than the palm of my hand. I'm completely turned off of Panera. Different members of my party had a different experience. For me I had an average experience. Compared to other Panera breads, this Panera bread was just average overall. While another party member was highly disappointed with their experience. They got a chicken sandwich. They said that the chicken was dry and the sandwich was just mediocre overall. What really made them disappointed was the fact the the chicken sandwich was highly advertised and like their signature dish at Panera Bread. Now the last party member was very happy with their experience. They ordered the Asian chicken salad. I had a bite of it and I was in love with it. My sister and I were visiting our grandmother and I was dumb enough to let my sister choose the lunch spot. And all it did was confirm my opinions about Panera Bread. That it's mediocre at best, too expensive for what you get, and highly overrated. I got the Turkey Avocado BLT and a cup of French onion soup. I'll start with the more positive thing first, the soup. It wasn't horrible tasting, well, if you don't mind something that reminds you of Campbell's. There was too much bread and croutons in the thing, obviously used as filler, even though French onion soup is one of the cheapest soups anyone can possibly make. While the cheese was fine, the fact that they use grated cheese on top that wasn't melted offended my sensibilities. The biggest positive was that the metallic, off-taste you get with poorly made French onion soup was minimal, which I know doesn't sound like much, but most restaurants in America somehow have this in their French onion soup due to rushing the whole process of properly making it if they don't pour it out of a can. The sandwich was not only one of the most blandest tasting BLTs I've ever had, but was so poorly constructed that it couldn't even manage to stay together as a sandwich as I brought it to my mouth. For example, the tomatoes were sliced too large, the turkey was chopped up, but in too large of pieces, and the fancy looking lettuce they dressed it up with was not conducive to sandwich construction. Look, I know turkey and avocado can be pretty bland, but the turkey didn't even have an artificial "roasted" flavor to it and the least they could've done was added a bit of salt to the avocado to at least make it noticeable. And absolutely worst of all, the bacon was so bland and tasteless that it didn't even taste like bacon! If it was supposed to be turkey bacon, well, it somehow managed to fail at that, too. Also, this is America, and I expect larger portions to be shoving down into my diabetic gullet! I hate to lay into a place like this, but come on! If I'm going to spend that amount on a meal with a drink, I expect to find some value and satisfaction in it. So, yeah. This trip again served as a reminder as to why I avoid Panera Bread. I mean, the absolute best part of the meal was the bagged, pre-packaged kettle-cooked potato chips they served with my sandwich. read more

Came in about 8pm on a Friday night to order dinner with my husband. The person that took our order was definitely NOT with it. There wasn't a lot of people and yet she couldn't get our order straight? Maybe because she was busy cleaning the floor for close? Anyway, when we picked up our order I mentioned it was wrong and instead of taking care of it for us the person behind the counter suggested we go back to the person that screwed it up in the first place. Came here for lunch with my mom, usually always have had good experiences at Panera but this location was an exception. My mom removed some items due to allergies and replaced them with alternative toppings, they ended up not including any of the alternatives she added and she ended up with a pretty empty sandwich. The part that really disappointed me was the carelessness of the person who prepared our food. Half the sandwich wasn't even on the plate, the top piece of bread and most of the lettuce was just sitting on the counter instead of the plate, and no one thought to do anything except to just leave our order like that. read more

I haven't been here in a while and again I'm not overly impressed. The food was good but they are obviously cutting corners compared to other Paneras. My sandwich was soggy because they didn't have the absorbing cardboard under it and they don't carry the food your table. It doesn't seem like a huge deal but when with kids it is really helpful when other Panera locations bring the food to your table. read more

Do NOT order from doordash! They restaurant delivers their own food rather than having an actual doordash driver deliver, which is fine if they were at all competent enough to provide a halfway-decent delivery service. Originally my order was supposed to take 30-40 minutes to arrive, on par with other restaurants in the area. I also understand if it was a little late, but the lack of communication between the delivery person and the customer is ridiculous. When time came for the food to be delivered, the app would update every minute and say it would be one minute later. This went on for 30 minutes, at which time the app said the food had been delivered. I look outside to find only an empty porch, so I waited another 10 minutes to see if it would show up. When it still hadn't arrived, I called the store. All that the lady at the store was able to tell me was that "it might still be on its way". I had no idea if I was getting my food at this point. Could it have been delivered, but somebody stole it off my porch? When did the driver leave? I began making plans to get my dinner another way and getting a refund. Another 30 minutes later (after the original 40 minute wait and 30 minutes already late totaling a whole hour late) the food was delivered. Looking at the receipt taped to the bag and the time at which the receipt was (presumably) printed, it looks like they didn't even begin working on my order until the time it was originally supposed to be delivered! It is incredibly frustrating as a customer to have no communication with the restaurant, and no idea when (or if) my food will arrive. To make matters worse, much of the food was sub-par. The smokehouse barbecue chicken sandwich was terrible: very dry chicken, almost no sauce/toppings, all on bread that tastes like it was left out for a few days. I am almost certain the side of bread you get with the sandwich/soup was in fact left out for a while as it was hard as a rock. The only reason this review is not 1-star is because the green passion smoothie and Mediterranean veggie sandwich were decent, and the tomato soup (albeit a bit cold, but I understand as it is delivery and cold outside) was delicious! I understand that the company wants to keep as much of the profits that they can by delivering it themselves rather than allowing a doordash driver to do it, but if they are going to be this incompetent and dismissive of their customers time (and money! It was $8 for the delivery fee and the delivery tip) they have no business being on that app. Let real doordash drivers deliver for you, or fix your interaction/communication with the customer through the app. I never write Yelp reviews, yet I made an exception as this is unacceptable. read more

I don't know what it is about this particular Panera franchise but they cannot get anything right. I went there the first week it opened with my mom and they got our orders wrong and had no knives. I continue to order from there while working from home, which is stupid because literally every time there is something wrong with my order. Whether its that they don't know what a ripe avocado is, to forgetting items, to taking an hour and a half to travel the half mile to my house, they just can't get it together. It's been a few years since I've eaten at Panera, so when the boyfriend and I saw that they were open as of today, we stopped in for lunch. A little after 1pm the parking lot was jammed -- we drove around several times and finally lucked out when someone left. They had several greeters inside to get you oriented, and when we expressed interest in the self-serve ordering kiosks, a lady walked us through it. They have about 8 iPads set up (though only 2 seemed to be up and running) where you essentially use their app to order and pay, including grabbing a pager and entering the number. Kind of nice to avoid the usual mess that you get at the register! Cups are also there as well, on the honor system it looks like. Drink dispensers are in the back of the restaurant, which is a little frustrating since they're about as far from the door as possible and we wanted to sit outside. They have a nice patio, with a lovely view of Kwik Trip's car wash and the on-ramp to the highway -- but it was nicer than patios along Koeller, since it was further away from the traffic. Our pager went off promptly and the boyfriend retrieved our food. I had the chicken Caesar salad, which was decent, but not exciting. It was pretty light on the dressing (the boyfriend went inside to get some extra), but was served in a nice china bowl, which I appreciated. The boyfriend's Cobb had much more on it, so I might go for that next time. They're still serving baguettes on the side, which really doesn't do much for me. They are a little too chewy and kind of unnecessary. An employee came by and grabbed our dishes, and even offered to get us drink refills (!), so they are definitely starting the service off on the right foot. We've desperately been looking for someplace to get a decent salad, so I think we'll be back for lunch again. Side notes: The lady helping us said if you have a MyPanera card, you can pre-program favorite orders so you just swipe the card and go. They also have Wi-Fi, though the login page states that during busy periods, you may be restricted to 30 minutes. read more

I arrived at the Oshkosh Panera and waited just a few minutes to place my order. The girl taking my order was not friendly at all but I get it she was a teenager,it looked like and understandably probably didn't want to work that early in the morning but then she took my order and my order was to go so when they called my name my order was on plates and it was also not complete. I don't eat here that often because I usually have to take out a second mortgage just to pay for it but at least get my order correct especially when the store was not even busy. We just had soup the pesto dish. The pesto was cold, warm, one or two pieces of pasta were hot and it was also hard pasta. The soup was barely warm and they gave us no spoon. The service wasn't exactly friendly, I think she gave us a smile and there is was a few staff members standing around, one girl cleaning and a few waiting for customers. From the customer side, things are fast in the dining room, seem to be sanitized, and fairly good with social distancing. But the wait for drive through is at times semi-long. But they always get your order right and sometimes they sneak a free cookie in! The people taking orders in drive through are generally very enthusiastic, friendly and efficient. I also know for a fact, as someone who used to work here (at the oshkosh location) , that their protocols on hand washing, cleaning/sanitization and preparations are perfect. Perfectly clean. Working here they treated me so well and the people that dine here are almost always super nice. It is a lot of work and stress in a work day at Panera for the employees, and through that most of them seem happy to help. No where is perfect though! Every company has some place to make improvement. Love Panera over all, just think some of the current employees attitudes could be more upbeat in the inside area!! :D read more

I love Panera - I really do. But why do they give you a plastic knife with soup and a sandwich in your drive thru bag?? I feel guilty because I now have a plastic knife I'm not going to use and I'm going to throw it out and then it's going to end up in the ocean and poke some fish's eye out. They are not helping me save the planet. And I'm also thinking that if there is some beast of a person out there that actually uses the knife to cut their piece of baguette or somehow drip soup in their mouth they should be executed immediately because you tear a baguette apart and eat it like an animal because it's the only artisan bread you've allowed yourself to eat for like a month. Wow - I have been to many Panera Breads and other chains, but nowhere I have seen employees care less. I walk up to the register and there's no one there. Employees walk by and look at me but do nothing - several times. 10 minutes later someone shows up: doesn't apologize. I say my order, she doesn't repeat it. The order takes 15 solid minutes to come out (a half salad). Management needs to do something. I not only will never come to this Panera again, but it'll take me a while to want to go to another Panera. And let's be honest, Panera's prices are not at the lower end of the spectrum of the fast food options, so I hope their employees get paid fairly, which make this incident that much worse (spoiler: she was on her phone the whole time) read more

Couldn't find a good clean spot to sit down and eat. There were dirty dishes overflowing the drop spots and there were fruit flies everywhere. Came here on a Sunday afternoon for a family lunch. The cashier had no idea what he was doing, so the order took longer than it was supposed to. I was told they didn't have the chicken tortellini Alfredo, so I had to get the regular tortellini. At the end of the order, they said they didn't even have tortellini at all so I had to get something else. After purchasing the items, we were told that they indeed did have the tortellini Alfredo. The entire order took about 15 minutes. And they didn't offer to give us a discount or anything for our troubles. Horrible service. read more

In general, Panera bread is not as good as it once was. This location is no different. While service is just fine and employee's are nice. Menu is confusing but yet menu options are very limited. Tried many of the current items, bland, not flavorful, somewhat fresh. What happened to old Panera bread from 1-2 years ago when we actually had choices on the menu? Grilled Fontina cheese? Or the one with chicken, tomatoes, balsamic. The good stuff is gone, portions are a joke and prices went up. I guess that's the trend, serve them less food, less choices, lower quality but increase the price. Oh and the steak sandwiches are horrible. While the horseraddish added a nice kick, the meat is terrible. Chewy, fatty, not cooked properly sometimes, chunky and difficult to bite, chew, digest. Yikes. How the hell to do many people obsess over this placed like its the next big thing. I've had better sandwiches at a target cafe for crying out loud. I recommend if you want a real panini, try Christiano's Chicken & Artichoke. Now that is a true sandwich for $9 or $10 and you actually get some food to eat. read more
