Not my thing. It is convenient and my lady loves the bread bowl, but as restaurants go, I choose elsewhere.

Their soups r superb. Went w Broccoli Chz; no rolls; Knows it bout a zillion calories; so got a cup :) Corn Chowder & Thai Chicken certainly nothing to sneeze at. If in a 'trying to be healthy' mood, go for one of their many salads w quinoa no less . Citrus Asian Crunch or Chicken Caesar also easy goto's. (Never had an Asiago Bagel Stack :/ Looks Good. Panera Bread is a place that I have often used to bring a culinary bribe of sorts to early morning meetings. There is nothing like some coffee along with bagels and cream cheese to at least bring a smile to a group of people who are barely awake and probably honestly, still wishing they were still home in bed. The ambiance here is what you would expect from a Panera Bread. It is bright and cheerful and all-together, a pleasant enough place to sit down and enjoy a meal. The staff here was friendly and professional and got me in and out in an efficient enough manner. Panera Bread is a good option for at least breakfast and I would overall recommend here. read more

I enjoyed treating myself to their Greek salad and broccoli and cheese bread bowl today. The customer service was sooo nice! I went through their drive through and they notice I had my dog with me and even had little tiny Milk Bone treats for her. It was a bit expensive but totally worth the splurge of an extra $10 to satisfy my soup, salad and herbal bread hankering. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because their banana peppers weren't the most fresh I've ever had. They were a bit soft. read more

This is a really busy location but they have consistent order accuracy and friendly service. It's great to be able to hit a drive through for something other than deep fried and greasy. The salads are fresh and cold, sandwiches are piled with quality ingredients and the soups are delicious. Their mac is creamy and can have some interesting toppings. I also love the drink selections. It's nice to have an option other than tea or soda. I had the Cuban today and it was GREAT! I am not a huge sandwich fan, in general, but I loved my order today. Stopped at Panera for a cup of coffee while passing through the area on a road trip. Located just South off the I-20 exit, this Panera is situated in front of the Publix Supermarket by an entrance to the shopping center across from Arby's. We were greeted with a friendly smile and with hospitable service. We both ordered a to-go coffee and which we filled ourselves. Coffee choices were light roast, dark roast, hazelnut, and decaf. I filled my cup with hazelnut coffee and doctored it up at the end of the coffee bar area. It was piping hot! A bit too hot to sip right away. It was flavorful and tasted just at like my favorite Panera back home. Dining area was clean and well kept. Ladies restroom was clean. My only issue was that the automatic paper towel dispenser was only releasing 3-4 inch segments of paper towels and I had to rear it off before it would release another piece. Took 3 pieces to dry my hands. Overall a good experience! read more

Always very tasty! Our favorite is the chipotle chicken avocado melt and either the strawberry poppyseed salad or the Asian salad. Delicious! The kitchen sink cookie is also our favorite cookie of all time. Restaurant is clean as well as the bathrooms. read more

Stopped here for lunch on a vacation. This particular Panera is memorable to me because of the extreme helpfulness of the staff. My dietary needs are difficult at times and the staff here were patient and helpful to get me what I needed. My order was wrong when it came out but the staff apologized and quickly made it correct. They even comp'd my meal which I didn't ask for and told them it wasn't necessary but they insisted. Spouses order came out right and the soup was hot and flavorful. Horrible horrible horrible experience never got to the food because of the young man on the register! There was not a single other employee in sight to step in when it was very obviously needed. To call the employee an idiot is a gross Understatement and I do not use words like that in a review or towards someone willing g to work but key word willing to work ! The cashier a teenage male CLAIMED they did not have: Ranch dressing Ham Sweet tea Bread bowls Any kind of potato soup..... the breakdown began here when we realized every thing that came out of our mouths to order he mumbled they did not have. Masks aside (kudos he was actually wearing a mask despite wearing a camp ball cap that had a confederate flag on it which I'm pretty sure is not Panera uniform as I have been to many in multiple states and cities for as many years as this kid has been alive) anyway mask aside the kid would only look at the register screen and mumbled at best. When he would utter words we'd have to ask for a repeat numerous times before landing on the same conclusion they did not have {the above listed items} I was actually born in the town of Anniston and I have been majority raised in the south so I know this day in age sweet tea and specifically ranch is not just a menu item it's a blood type to southerners so if Panera is not serving ranch and sweet tea in parts of the south specifically Alabama they need to shut the door and move on to parts that is acceptable if that even exists any more. Granted my belief the kid was telling the truth is in the negative 10% range he was just lazy and disgruntled and did not care. He was allowing the counter hold him up long enough to receive a paycheck. If this is the quality of employee the Anniston Panera is hiring than my suggestion to travelers and locals alike KEEP MOVING as I cannot even begin to fathom what would have come out of the kitchen had we got beyond an attempt of ordering off Panera's menu posted on the company website. read more

I want to brag on the Panera Bread in Oxford, AL. Today, I placed an online order for lunch that I had planned on picking up in the drive thru. I only get 30 minutes for lunch and that's enough time for me to drive over to Panera, drive back, and make it back to my office. I went by, picked up my order, and returned to my workplace. I ordered a Mac n cheese bread bowl with a side item. When I sat down at my desk to eat, I realized that the main part of my order was missing (the Mac n cheese). I had the side item and I even had the bread bowl, but I had nothing to fill the bowl with. I called the store and a lady named Morgan answered. I explained to her what had happened and was going to tell her that I would swing by and pick it up when I got off. But instead of me waiting for my meal, she had a Panera employee deliver my food to my workplace free of charge! The Mac n cheese they brought me was piping hot, it definitely wasn't the one that was originally supposed to come with my order. They took the time to cook me a fresh batch. And not only that, but they also threw in a complimentary chocolate chipper cookie! I understand that mistakes are inevitable and they are going to happen, but Morgan and her team did everything they possibly could to make it right!! On a road trip...popped in was greeted with a friendly smile and a "hey". Young lady was super quick and helpful. When I pick up the order I was greeted with a "hey friend"! Boy do I love the SOUTH! Uhhhhh...I usually enjoy Panera but today, not so much. I like their chicken noodle soup...really nice flavor...and decided to have a bowl of it for lunch, instead of a cup and half a sandwich ( my usual choice). Well, I received a nice- sized bowl, but it was barely HALF filled with soup. When I commented on this, at the pick-up counter, instead of taking the bowl and remedying the situation, the employee....wait for it.... LAUGHED. I'm not usually at a loss for words, but I guess I was afraid the "Soup Nazi" was in the house and I was hungry, so I didn't say anything. I stopped here with my two kids, age1 and 2, on the way home from a long road trip alone. They had both been crying and we stopped to grab some food and stretch out legs. The staff here were all so kind, they quickly got my food together and brought it out to us outside where I decided to sit to save the rest of the patroons any grief from my screaming goblins. Conveniently located right off the I-20, it's perfect for travelers like myself. I was headed to Birmingham for the weekend and those Blue signs off the highway had them listed as a food option so I stopped in to get some grub. This location has a drive thru too which makes it convenient for folks like me who want to get their food and get back on the road. I had not tried the turkey apple cheddar sandwich before which must be a new item so I opted on that instead of my usual Napa Chicken. On the drive thru menu, it notes that sandwiches come with a pickle. Not sure if something at Panera has changed in the recent months because usually it comes with bread, an apple or a bag of chips. I inquired about this with the drive thru attendant and she said they were out. She seemed young and very distracted with horse playing with the other employees too so didn't question it further. I mean what Panera runs out of chips?? I just so happened to go inside for the restroom and ran into the manager to confirm this. He said they had chips. He reminded his staff that they do have bags and happily obliged to give me one while apologizing. She also didn't ask for my rewards card so the horseplay really needs to be at a minimum. Clean, excellent customer service (Carol, the server who took our order was more than helpful, friendly, professional, very sweet). My meal was simply delicious! I had the Pick Two: Garden Vegetable Soup & a Flatbread sandwich with hummus & fresh vegetables. The presentation of the food was great. The veggies, crisp, fresh, & colorful. The manager at this Panera is fantastic! My husband is a tongue cancer survivor and suffers from dysphagia. After I explained how we prepare his food she immediately suggested that we get two orders of the shredded chicken. It worked out perfectly. After ten days on the road out west, where people don't seem to eat a lot of salads, their large Cobb salad with Green Goddess hit the spot. This is a very busy location, but our food was freshly prepared in a timely manner. read more

Slightly convoluted parking and slightly confusing interior depending on which entrance you use. Good amount of food, beverage, and pastry options for reasonable but slightly high prices. No sweet tea though. Big -1 star for that but happy with the experience overall. My Thai chicken salad and turkey sandwich were both good. The accompanying baguette was meh. The blueberry scone, however, was quite good, assuming scones are supposed to remind me of Cracker Barrel biscuits. read more
