Never had a bad experience at this Panera Bread. I find it less crazy busy compared to the Panera Bread on Rochester Rd and Auburn Rd. This location is a bit more quaint and comfortable. Parking here is not too bad but on some busy days it does get a little crowded. Service is always friendly and orders correct. One complaint is that they keep the butter behind the prep area instead of on the other side for patrons to grab themselves. Asking for butter and annoying the staff to stop what they are doing to hand me butter is a little silly. My half size tuna salad sandwich was a little light on the tuna as well. However, place is clean - even when I went on a Sunday night for dinner. This is my preferred Panera Bread in the area! read more

this is horrible don't go there they are so slow one time I got HOT breakfast sandwich but it came out cold. Also, it was freezing cold in the restaurant when it was in the middle of the winter they take forever to give you your food. Also never have what I want. First visit at a Panera in over a year. I stopped going when they started raising prices. I was happy with the food during this visit, but the restaurant was so dirty. Food smears and trash on each table, trash and wrappers on the floor. It was noticeably gross. This Rochester Hills location is a standard Panera however it is like a refrigerator in the dining area. When asked to turn up the heat, the staff says 'it's hot in the kitchen'. They have steadfastly been unwilling unable to accommodate customers requests for a temperature to enjoy their coffee or meal without their winter clothing. I have been asking for not months but years for them to turn the heat up and/or keep the door closed to no avail. They just plead ignorance. I love Panera but as of late the people working here have been absolutely slacking and being lazy. Half the time I get a smoothie it has ice & fruit chunks in it like the never used a blender on it, I can't tell you how many times I've had to call due to a mix up or missing food. Try making the place more inviting by making it right by the customer not telling them the next time they come it you'll make it right. Why do you think people choose delivery. The whole point is so I don't have to come down there or I would have set it up for pick up. Work on the atmosphere there because it's subpar. read more

Don't come here. We were there at lunch time after church - the place was almost empty - only 3 tables( we now know why) ... took 20 mins to get half of our order (tomato soup and 1/2 BLT- apparently a very complex order ) and they forgot the other half of our order. There were 7 employees back there.... Apparently they didn't know who was supposed to do what. Although they knew how to take the $ . Stop serving expired, spoiled food! I ate the Spicy Fiesta Chicken sandwich last week and within minutes my stomach began to ache. I didn't overthink it at first. Over the next 6hrs of the rest of the evening I was in extreme abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, chills, fatigue, vomiting, low grade fever, bloating. It took 4 days to recover from food poisoning. I notified their Guest Care Team. I received a few emails and a giftcard. No phone call to discuss my awful experience. Panera needs to close permanently. They continue to offer low quality food, unhappy employees, poor catering service, low grade dining environment, mismanaged orders, long wait times to get food, unfriendly staff, poor customer service. The staff is nice. I enjoyed my avocado toast, but when I helped myself to some decaf coffee it was barely warm.

Love this location. Everyone is really polite and the food is delicious. My favorite is the Cobb Salad.

Did not have a good experience the last few times we went to Panera's. Filled out the review they sent me detailing why it was not acceptable. I was contacted by a district manager and explained to him,cagain, why the last few visits were not good. He stated he would look into it and would send me a gift card/coupon to go back and try, again. He seemed like he cared and I thanked him. Gave him my address and NOTHING! Never received anything. I don't know what it is about Panera Bread, but I feel like they are just trying to hard. I've come here more times then I've checked in during the past, and today was no different. I usually get the same thing when I'm here. The steak and egg breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel. The people here are an older crowd, and the staff is fairly young. Place is in decent shape, and set up like all the other Paneras. They have screwed up my order once or twice, once serving me a sausage on Cibatta bread instead of the steak bagel. Woops! They always advertise that their going organic or whatnot, but it still tastes like Gordon Food Service. Some of their dishes are a bit salty. 9 out of 10 times you visit here, you'll find that the restaurant is actually closed during their open hours, and instead only open for takeout/pre-orders. On top of that even when they are open, the service is horrendously slow, if you get it at all (majority of the time ordering through their app results in them never receiving or never working on your order and you end up waiting for nothing and eventually have to just go order in person all over again). It's really quite a shame, because the location is nice and the inside is usually kept clean, but the lack of service here (when they're even open), is appalling. read more

I didn't realize that not getting ice meant you got HALF the drink. They refused to fill it up and were extremely rude and condescending. This Panera is like the worst one in this area. They somehow manage to mess up my order almost every-time I go. I do take some accountability for not checking the bag before I leave but still, it should be correct. The first time they messed up my order, I ordered a green goddess salad and the avocado was frozen, the chicken was frozen, and they gave me Greek dressing. Used to love Panera but they removed their flatbread pizzas, their family feast will now hardly feed 4 people, and their portion sizes keep getting smaller. Don't even want to eat there anymore. This is my home Panera Bread. I have so many memories from having my college interview here to celebrating my friend's graduation. I fell in love with the menu and I have my usual You-Pick two and I always get the Cheddar-Broccoli Soup with Thai Salad. If I a couple dollars in my wallet I will order the Green Machine Smoothie! I love the customer service and this tends to be a place where I like to study and just get a one-on-one with a friend! Really recommend never really had a problem! Sort the yelp reviews by newest first, some of the reviews are 3 years old. Ordered curbside pepperoni pizza and steak sandwich. Fyi panera bread corporate already addressed the problem and refunded the meal. Placed the order online and immediately drove to pick it up. It was delivered curbside quick. Drove directly home pizza was ice cold and appeared to be premade since it looked old. Steak sandwich was warm but was lacking sauce. There really was no excuse for the pizza situation since the damn thing was $8.99. Hot and ready $5 vs $8.99 horrible premade cold pizza, no thank you. Decided to try for a breakfast this morning. First time in this location and certainly will not be back. The restaurant was littered and unkempt and I noticed the signage was set to lunch (it was 8am). We approached the counter and waited at least 8-10 min before a girl walked past (from the back) and I asked if anyone was taking orders. She looked at me with a sneer and said "not really" before walking away. Why is this business even there if not to serve customers? Furthermore, the one person we interacted with was lacking in appearance/hygiene. And, yes that matters, even in 2023. Sandwiches were mediocre at best and one half of one had 1 slice of meat on it. Totally slapped together and absolutely not worth the price. I will not go back there again. read more
