I've had a good meal every time we come to 423 Main. The burgers are flavorful, wings are delish (the kids love them), lamb chops yum, salads are good full size and flavorful, chicken tenders are always a hit here, my fave is the Tenderloin Steak Bites... overall everything is flavorful. Service : they always have nice waitstaff. It does get busy on party evenings during the weekends but the staff is very friendly and do the best they can. I don't think we ever waited "too long" for food or drinks to come out. Ambiance : family friendly I'd say before 8 any day , and good for girls night out or date on Friday and Saturday's in my opinion for a fun night . Bar: great bar selection . TVs all around. We made reservations to come have dinner after walking around downtown. We were told before we were seated that we had to be gone in an hour because they had another group coming even with a reservation. Our food ended up taking forever to come out so we were rushed to hurry up and eat and leave when it came out. For appetizers we got the chips and dip and salads. The dip had a long piece of hair in it and we immediately sent it back and the waiter looked at us like we were crazy for not wanting it. The salads were pretty good - big portion with lots of fresh toppings and dressing. For entrees we got the buffalo chicken sandwiches and the grilled chicken plate. My mom asked for no buffalo and it came with buffalo on it so she didn't love it. Mine on the other hand was pretty average. It was a large portion and had a good amount of toppings on it that altogether was very flavorful. I did ask for ranch on the side when i ordered and it took awhile for it to come out. The chicken plate was just about the only good dish we had. It came with a good spread of well prepared food and was a healthy option on the menu. The worst part of this experience was when we asked for bags for left overs the waiter told us to go get it ourselves so we had to awkwardly go behind the bar to grab it. Overall the service was terrible- everyone was rude. The food was slightly above average but with the hair in it and messing up our orders i would not recommend. Even though this is in prime location there are so many better options in the area. I could see this place having potential for coming for drinks with all the tvs or on the rooftop in the summer but thats about it. read more

Was a big fan of this place but after this weekends visit not sure I can return. Saturday evening 1/10/2026 The place was busy as they had a party in the back room and a large group in the front by the windows. That said we had a short wait at 5:30pm. No issues there as a wait is to be expected on a Saturday night. Once sat waitress approached and she was quite friendly. Took our drink orders and once delivered took or appetizer order of Wings and our Entree order Buffalo Chicken wrap and French Dip. After a longer than normal wait I see food headed our way and it is both the appetizer and entrees at the same time. That should have been a sign to send the wings back as they were no longer an appetizer once server with the entrees. We decided to roll with it though. First wing was fine but when I bit into the second wing it had an odd texture and I looked down at the wing flat to see uncooked, bloody chicken. Thankfully I didn't swallow and discarded the bite into a napkin. We picked at our entrees after that but it ruined our appetite. We flagged the waitress over as soon as we saw her to inform her. She cleared the wings but never circled back until it was time for the bill. Comment on the French dip, super salty. Would not recommend. Also the bread it was served on was more of a ciabatta roll that did not hold up well to being dipped. Thankfully they took the wings off the bill but truly we couldn't eat after the mishap, so spent $50 for a half eaten meal. read more

Everything was absolutely delicious and flavorful. Ambiance was great as well. My only complaint is the restroom the first door closest to the sink area. I went into the restroom and when I came out there was someone washing their hands at the sink. I opened the door and the door hit her . And I was washing my hands and she barely got by she had to excuse herself. It's a little too tight it almost feels like a bathroom at home instead of a business restroom . Just giving feedback. Stopped in for a late dinner and the first thing I noticed was that this place is very loud. Our server was nice though and our food came out quickly. The portions are generous and the menu definitely has something for everyone - from Mexican food to lamb chops lol my one gripe was that they forgot to put cheese in my wrap so it was missing that flavor element but still a good wrap. read more

We came here to Rochester before the lighting of the town and the arrival of Santa. So we stopped in 423 Main Bar Grill to get a bite to eat. We had to wait a about 20 minutes to have the hostess help us and 2 other guests. They asked if we had reservations and when we said no they said they were not taking any walk in traffic. That was after waiting all that time for the hostess. All 3 groups of guests were angry we had to wait to be turned away. If they said they were full from reservations, I would've understood but just saying that they didn't take any walk-in. Traffic was kind of a strange response. Besides the fact that the place was not full. We went down the street to the hibachi restaurant with no reservation and they found a table for us and it was only two of us. read more

Visiting for happy hour which is 4-6 Monday-Friday. They didn't give us a happy hour menu until we asked for one. We ordered 2 beers, slider, boneless bbq wings, bone in lemon pepper wings and a bbq chicken flatbread. It was $50 after a tip which was very affordable! The sliders were really good but missing something to make them great, the wings were very good: the boneless wings were huge and the bone in wings had a great crunch like they were deep fried. This place used to be Mr. B's back in the day, so glad it's a bar & grill. I wanted to love this place, but could not cling to the interior, food, or service. First, we wanted to eat on the rooftop, but it was closed until 4 PM. Why have a rooftop when it doesn't open until later? The interior is FAR from what a bar and grill is, and of course, it's the basic grey, white, + black. The service sucked; our waitress was beyond nice but lacked attentiveness. Also, my friend had gum on her face, and it was smeared all over the place. Call me dramatic, I almost threw up. My drink was not refilled, and the waitress brought boxes but failed to bring containers for dressings and soup. Also, never put in my sister's soup order. I ordered the Michigan Cherry Salad with Crispy Chicken; it was good, but I thought the $20 for a salad was pricey. Now that I checked out this place, would I come back to it? I do not think so. The eggrolls were definitely a little bit spicy. Not too bad, but if that kind of thing bothers you, you should be aware. The Cajun pasta was excellent and not spicy at all. I also had a Caesar salad salad, not pictured. Between the appetizer and the salad, I barely made it done in my pasta, so I got a whole other meal out of it! I'm normally not a sports bar fan, but this is more than just a sports bar. The ambience was a little more elegant, and the food was a little less sports bar-ish. The Wait staff was very friendly and it is a quite large space if you have a large group. We shared the Spinach dip and the double smash burger. The spinach dip was homemade and you can tell that that flour tortillas chips were freshly done. Both were some of the best I've had. I'm so glad we shared the Smashburger because it's quite a large portion and it came with your choice of a side. Took my cousin from Sweden and her sister to 123 Main o 04/07/26 and she ordered a hamburger and I had their Cajun Fettuccini with Shrimp. The Fettuccini was amazing and it was enough for three meals, my favorite part was the shrimp. When I order shrimp it's only good when freshly made but this tased just as good the second day. My cousin could not stop raving about the hamburger. She said it was the best she's ever eaten. She also ordered their chicken noodle soup and let me tell you that she said she was tempted to lick the bowl. The server was attentive and prompt. The food here is nothing short of exceptional. Their menu offers options for every guest. My favorite thing about 423 Main is every dish made is from scratch using fresh, high quality ingredients. They also offer a wide variety of cocktails. Throughout our evening the service was attentive making sure our glasses were never empty. Such a great place to meet up with friends and family. I did want to try the pizza but I wanted something like a supreme with all the veggies and meats but they didn't have anything like that so I just got a drink and left. We were here near the end of summer when we were told that ownership had changed. It was an absolutely terrible experience and we were both disappointed and never came back. We decided to give it another try, and we're pleased to see the name and the branding had changed. The ambiance and quality of the food had not changed. The menu was quite similar to the previous one. But the service was so much better this time. I'm looking forward to coming back to the rooftop bar in the summer to see if the service up there has improved because that's where they had the real issues. Before we visited 423, we read the reviews. Most bad reviews were from bad service so we decided to give it a chance. The food looked good in the pics after all. We noticed a lot of young waiters and did have a few things go wrong like the tables smelled like dirty water and I was given utensils with stains on the napkin. Since we knew what to expect we were not put off. The food was really good. The fried fish sandwich (not real name) was delicious.
