We ordered some mix and match combos. The French Onion soup was decent, and my sandwich was also good as it was toasted. Really great food!! Little pricey but about the same every where. They don't clean tables or dining room much. We were there around 1:30 and every table needed to cleaned. I don't get why so many places are not cleaning their dining rooms- they don't deliver to your table and they have kiosks to handle the orders. read more

I loved the "Turkey Chili " , but I have had better canned supermarket chili. The meat (if there was meat) was so processed it had no texture in your mouth, more like a gravy with kidney beans. I was extremely disappointed in the size of my half sandwich. The size of my half sandwich was barely the size of my hand. I'm more accustomed to the size of sandwiches I usually buy back in the Bay Area but these are so tiny. I can finish this in less than two bites. My girls and I went to Panera tonight and the girl at the drive thru window, Peyten (with two E's) made it a wonderful experience. She provided exceptional service. She was not only pleasant and attentive but also made a memorable impression on my daughters. Her warm greeting and genuine friendliness immediately put smiles on their faces. As we drove away, both of my girls said, "Mom, she was so nice!" It's rare to find someone who can connect so quickly and make such a positive impact in just a few minutes. This place is a hot mess! First off prices are too high - ordered a salad scoop of Mac n cheese and a coffee $25 (maybe if there was a server at my table). While waiting for my food several people came in from the drive thru saying that something was missing or made wrong I got my food took 2 bites and realized my bbq chicken salad had no chicken and the salad itself was swimming in dressing - they were very apologetic about the chicken and handed me a cup full. Panera is one of those places I only go if I have a gift card, or if there are no other options. Their coffee isn't good, so I go to Starbucks, and their food isn't good either and I'd rather go anywhere else. I had a $25 gift card to kill though, so I signed up for a trial of their free drink program and got a few free lunches here. This location is actually pretty nice- it's clean, well lit and the employees have always been friendly. I usually order ahead online and pick up my order- I've had quite a few of their baked goods, and a couple of their flatbread pizzas. The pizzas were actually pretty okay, if a bit pricey. The cheese one I believe was $8.49 and the margherita was $9.99. I got one of their "artisan" teas and it was also decent, though was definitely over-sweetened and tasted like something I would get in a bottle at the grocery store. For the price of free, it is totally fine but I wouldn't pay over $3 for the tea. I also wouldn't pay the full price for the pizza, especially since you can get larger pizzas at Dominos' with their large pizza takeout special. Even before going to this location, though, I've always been baffled by the success of Panera. It's so overpriced for the quality- I know it has decent ambiance if you want to study/work and you can get free refills on drinks. But honestly, I'd rather go to Starbucks or a local coffee shop. I have always heard so much about Panera. People love it. I've given it a couple tries and I just don't understand all the raves. Maybe it's just me but food is somewhat tasteless and rather blah with flavor in my opinion. Also way more expensive than it should be as far as I'm concerned. I go see where my soup is only to find it COLD in the window where I have to pick up my own food... "The little pucks don't work very well."... SO WHY GIVE ME ONE?!! I have to ask for hot soup. While my wife was eating her bagel, the avocado slide out and on the plate plopped what looked like a blackened avocado. One end had completely turned black and just looked unappetizing. If I could give this restaurant a -25 stars, I would. I doubt I would never eat here again a year ago, but decided that I would give it another chance with the hopes that it was under some new management, and that they put a little bit more care into the quality of their food. Boy, I was absolutely not surprised when the food was straight disgusting and they missed items in the bag. I was left with a $50 bill for a couple grilled cheeses that were just bread with burnt cheese inside. They call it a classic grilled cheese when it should be called two slices of bread with burnt cheese . Absolutely disgusting the manager could care less and made no effort to fix the order. We ordered several soups and of course they didn't have any baguettes, and didn't put any of the accoutrements in the bag either. The guy cooking the food look like he was homeless and started dumping the remnants of a soup mixing bowl into another patrons cup. I ended up returning most of the food, keeping the soups and letting them know how disappointed we were in this place. They said they were sorry and offered us their normal bag of cookies as a way of trying to fix the fact that they absolutely have no business making anybody food. I highly recommend never going there and do not give these people your business. They don't care at all about the quality of the product they're putting out. The drive through is often extremely slow, but today there was no one ahead of me! I was on my way to pick up carpool and had 5 min and only wanted a sip club beverage. I drove up, ordered a beverage only...a very easy order. Pulled up to the window and waited. And waited. And waited. I could see 2 people inside, the one closest to the window stayed in the same spot for several minutes, I was never acknowledged. After 8 min of waiting at the window I had to leave so I would not miss the carpool window. I wonder if the car behind me got my drink for free? Or how long g after I left before *they* were acknowledged? They were not backed up, there was literally no one in front of me and it was 330 in the afternoon so not a meal rush. When I go inside to pick up 3 times out of 4 I can't find a crew member (I am nearly always missing an order, as I order ahead and then order right before I arrive so I can get 2 sip club drinks...they nearly always only put out 1 cup to pick up). read more

Chain eateries are pretty much the same, no matter what location you visit. It's the people behind the counter who make your experience good or not so good. The Panera Bread Sherwood location is still fairly new and I haven't had any bad experiences. Staff behind the counter are mostly nice but a little impatient. I'm sorry when I first enter and don't know exactly what I want, don't rush me, I need a minute. Overall the food is good; don't really know what the "clean food" part means. Vegan friends! They have two warm bowls that you can get minus the feta, cheese and yogurt (I add extra arugula, tahini and veggies) that makes them vegan. They use hummus and a lemon tahini for the dressing and it is SO good! read more

As far as Panera restaurants go, this is one of the better ones I've been in. It's clean and the service was relatively efficient. I wish Manna would go away from the buzzer system and would bring your food out like Pan American stores do - same with bussing the tables afterwards. It would seem this would do more to cut down on potential Covid spread than anything. The chicken noodle soup was better than most stores - seems that Panera has fixed their recipes. Can't wait to see if the new Reno stores are like this one. read more

Good ole days are history now for Panera. Tonight we came in remembering how good Panera was back a few years ago. And well since we wanted sandwiches and they were the closest to us, we decided to give Panera a try again. Even with yelp already telling me it's a 2 rating. But we over looked the rating and decided to give them another shot. We both ordered two new sandwiches, the buffalo chicken sandwich and the caprese sandwich. Even the poster looked good. Stuffed full of chicken, and mine thick cheese and tomatoes. Let's just say, it was disappointing. Not only did the sandwiches not even look like the poster but it literally barely had any chicken and the slices of mozzarella was as thin as a sheet of paper. We both ended up taking a few bites forcing ourselves to try and finish this $37 meal that we just purchased . I took a little video of the bread mine was served on, and pay attention to how hard this was... now imagine trying to eat this. I don't know what happened to this chain but now I see why it's not as busy anymore. Gave it one last try, no more for us thank you. read more

For the most part this Panera is usually ok. However, this last time was a huge disappointment. If I am paying $5 for a half salad that could feed a small child then I fully expect to have lettuce that is NOT decaying brown. And don't tell me they didn't see it because it was a bunch of pieces and the arse end of a romaine bunch that was dirty brown. I placed an online order. The Panera app said it would be ready in an hour. I show up and my order is not ready. The manager says that he sees my order and it should be done fairly quickly. For the next half an hour I'm watching people come in, place an order and leave with food; but we still don't have our order. I ask the manager again about my order (it's been 1 1/2 hrs since I placed the order) now he doesn't see my order at all, poof! We left with no food. This situation could have been solved when we got there but was only made worse. read more
