I returned after many years and was disappointed in the quality of the breakfast. The restaurant looks nice and clean inside, but the food was just mediocre. I ordered the huevos rancheros, which turned out to be very salty. Instead of soft corn tortillas under the eggs, they seemed more like hard tostadas buried under a layer of beans. A very fun kitschy cute diner located in downtown Sherwood is the spot for a girlfriend brunch. Service was quick especially with a reservation. Ordered to-go chicken and waffles, and the turkey BLT. Was ready to go at the stated time. There were a handful of beautiful cakes right at the front, ready to go. We had an unfortunate experience at FM on Friday, May 15. It was just the two of us about an hour before closing. Service was fine. Both ordered House Burgers. Both beef patties were very overdone and a little crunchy. I suspect that they were re-grilled patties from earlier. That's what some restaurants do, they pre-cook the burgers and then re-grill when ordered. Yuck, dry & overdone. Disappointed. read more

We stopped by here for lunch because it is in the neighborhood where my grandpa lives. The cafe is cute and has quirky fun decor. We sat outside in the shade which was so nice because the weather is so nice! Service was fast and friendly. I ordered the Egg and cheese sandwich which included a fried egg, aioli, and cheddar cheese on an English muffin. I ordered it with a side of nicely dressed greens that were fresh and tasty. I had a highly disappointing experience at this establishment. I was there with a party of four--two moms and two young girls aged 7 and 8. I ordered the simple dish of two eggs, potatoes, and bacon. My daughter had a waffle, the other young girl had a breakfast sandwich, and the other mother ordered huevos rancheros. When my plate arrived, everything appeared normal until I cut into the eggs, revealing a large pool of clear, slimy egg goop running over the plate. Though I typically wouldn't make a fuss, I informed the server. She kindly offered to replace the eggs, but I declined, as my stomach was already turned. Now, onto the final outrage. The bill was not adjusted after they said they would remove my dish. I approached the counter and informed the server, who then refused, claiming the kitchen stands behind the dish and it would not be removed. I asked if they stand behind eggs that are clearly slimy and unappealing. The owner then approached the cash register and began a highly unprofessional, embarrassing confrontation, raising her voice as if under the influence. I just wanted to pay and leave. The server snatched my card to process the payment until I stopped her, reminding her we were splitting the bill. She then tossed the card at me, stomped behind the service bar to grab something, and marched over to our table. She demanded to know how much was on the other card, then asked my 7-year-old if she wanted her waffle-- despite her not hearing the question I said "it was unnecessary" as the server snapped I front of the girls said to me "I wasn't speaking to you looked at my friend and said the same to her. The owner/manager then interfered, shouting, "I just want them the F*C* out of my restaurant." At that point, I put my card away, stood up to leave, and, regretfully, called her an unflattering name in the heat of the moment, which I deeply regret. I was angered by her behavior, especially when she approached the girls. Regarding the food, I didn't even take a bite of my own, so I can't honestly judge the remainder of my dish. The huevos rancheros lacked flavor, although the presentation was decent. The breakfast sandwich arrived with an over-easy egg instead of scrambled, which was ordered; she did not eat it but did not send it back. The waffle was standard--nothing special but not inedible. The hot chocolates for the girls were the highlight--they enjoyed them, and the host was a lovely young man but that's not enough for a good review. Restaurant patrons, beware: these ladies are unprofessional and farrell. I didn't get a photo but wish I had. read more

This is hands down the best place I've eaten since moving to Oregon. I've tried nearly all of their specials, and honestly, everything on the menu is amazing--you really can't go wrong with anything you order. The bourbon French toast is especially delicious--absolutely worth trying if it's on the menu. Even when the place looks busy, I've never had to wait too long for a table or food. The staff is phenomenal--friendly, attentive, and they make the whole experience even better. If you're anywhere near Sherwood, do yourself a favor and stop in. First I'd like to say I've never been treated and talked to like this by any human let alone a restaurant owner. I've been in the restaurant industry my entire life and have dealt with difficult people so I understand being frustrated with demanding individuals.But...and I mean but...when someone is polite and says I don't want to eat this it's undercooked you politely say ok and leave it at that. You don't hide from the table until it's "check" time and insist the customer pay for something they didn't eat. That is asinine! You should understand that when you tell a customer it will be taken off the bill and then at the last minute decide that's not the case that they would be annoyed, angry, and frustrated. You DO NOT insist that the customer is wrong and make a scene telling them that they don't know what the food should look like because they aren't a chef. As a business owner you were in the wrong, you were inappropriate and rude. You also do not ever address a child and tell the mother to shut up after she answers for her 8 yr old. You at that point should look at leaving the service industry because clearly you've lost your mind. The way you mocked us and shit talked us to other guests you should be ashamed. The male server/ host was a doll and maybe he needs to take over taking tables if you all can't get your egos in check. ****Since I cannot reply to your comment I'll just say that when the short haired woman told us to get the fuck out of her restaurant I had assumed that she was the owner, I do apologize for my mistake. The item was undercooked and refused to be taken off the bill after the server said she would have it removed. So I guess her inappropriate mocking and flat out disrespectful attitude may have ruffled my feathers just a tad. I do however notice that your stance on taking responsibility for yourself and your staff seems to be slightly lackluster. Our experience was just fine before your staff decided to create an issue over $0.50 worth of eggs. That's an awful hill to die on, but then again you seem to like the confrontation. read more

The sourdough pancakes are delightfully balanced on the pinnacle of fluffy and filling. The fried chicken is just amazing, so much better than any dedicated chicken chain. I don't know where to begin. We got married yesterday and had breakfast here today as our first meal. It was incredible!! I am super picky about gravy and chicken fried steak. It was literally the best gravy I've ever had. The breading on my chicken fried steak and my husbands fried chicken was also amazing!! Their flavors are insanely delicious! I don't know they do it. The gravy had a perfect spice kick to it and the perfect amount of salt. I usually always add salt and hot sauce to almost everything. I didn't want to add anything. Even their red potatoes were delicious. The service was also great! Everyone was so kind and inviting and thankful for our compliments. 20/10 recommend! I wish we lived closer, this would definitely be a staple! Decided on a spontaneous breakfast trip. Instead of IHOP or Shari's, we really wanted something local and came across Fat Milo's. It's a cute small place. Filled up pretty quick while we were there. 5 tables I think but there are some counter top seats. It's a small simple menu. They even had fresh made stuff up at the counter to take home. A quiche, $5 breakfast burritos, cookies, panini's with fresh made focaccia bread. We ordered the train wreck, the usual, the eggs Benedict and the fancy waffles special. We all loved our breakfast choices, portions were generous and super flavorful. We enjoyed our experience very much and decided we will be making regular trips here. read more
