First time at this Panera. I love that it's free standing, and not in some crazy crowded strip mall, like the Deptford one we go to sometimes. This Panera was once our go to lunch spot at the office, but now they skimp on product, and I'm just not impressed anymore. The "chef's choice" Asian sesame salad is 90% lettuce and 5% frigid (albeit cooked) chicken and 5% miscellany. The steak sandwich now contains two meager slices of meat, whereas it used to be made with full helpings. For around $11 you can get a decent portion of flatbread, but other than the size of this, it is not nearly as exciting a product offering as panera has been known for. Other reviews have caught on to this trend, so I know it is not just me. Was very dissatisfied when we found a very long shred from the plastic ingredients bag in my coworkers sandwich. They offered to remake her sandwich, but that was it. It may be a longer time before any of us chooses Panera for lunch again. read more

I went in and placed an order at a local Panera. I ordered the half sandwich and half soup meal. I got the cream of chicken and rice soup which is on point as always. I also ordered the avocado turkey BLT. I had requested for the bread to be toasted which it was not. The sandwich was dry and plain. I also requested for pickles on the side, which had I had not check my order, I would have been missing it too. Consistently gets online pickup orders wrong. This morning, they had my order wrong again (second consecutive time on the same order). There were no special requests -- it was literally the sandwich as is described on their menu. Specifically, the sandwich I ordered was an egg, sausage and cheese. This has now come to me on two consecutive occasions with two eggs (one scrambled and one over easy) and no sausage. Last time, I just let it go (cost of going to this particular Panera where I have learned over the years to ALWAYS check my order before leaving and more recently learned to open all items and really check one-by-one as there is invariably always something wrong). Today I brought the mistake to their attention then was challenged about the way the order was entered via their online system (never mind that no part of that conversation was around the fact that the order slip clearly indicated sausage, which was not there). Still they felt the need to point out that the order had two eggs listed in the system. An apology and fixing it would have been adequate. Instead I was made to feel like I had made the mistake and that they were doing me a favor by correcting THEIR mistake. I and my family will not be returning. read more

This is a standard Panera with a friendly staff. I have never had a particularly bad experience here. There are rows of booths and chairs across from the food station which are made more intimate by the the tall partitions that separate them. I am pretty fond of this, since I generally don't like people. The temperature is comfortable and there is an very small area of couches by the fireplace. This is prime comfy seating, so it is difficult to find unoccupied. The soup selection changes daily, but a few are standard. You can look up the menu online for that day. My favorites are the summer corn chowder and the autumn harvest squash soup. They are both vegetarian. I had the tomato once and got really sick from it, so I don't eat that. The black bean is too bland and almost entirely flavorless. You can get the soup in a bread bowl, which is sour dough. I absolutely love their Mediterranean veggie sandwich! The tomato basil bread has a touch of sweetness around the crust and the hummus is very tasty. The tomato mozzarella panini is also pretty good. There are plenty of pastries to choose from! There are brownies, cookies, muffins, cupcakes, Danishes, etc. My favorites are the cheese Danish and the chocolate pastry. The strawberry cream scone is bad, left an oily film in my mouth. There is also coffee and tea, along with soda and smoothies. I really like the honey dew hint the iced green tea has; I always order this. The chai here is gross, so steer clear of it! They have breakfast as well. Soufflé and sandwiches. You can buy their fresh baked bagels and breads too. Delivery was fast (though that's done by DoorDash and not them). I had ordered a strawberry chicken poppyseed salad and there was no chicken. I had also ordered a second meal and upgraded the side to a fruit cup which was left out of the bag so I never received it. I tried calling to see what could be done and no one answered the phone (I tried multiple times-both general service and the manager line). I then tweeted them to get help and they offered rewards onto my account that expire in 30 days. I respectfully (meaning no cursing or any type of rudeness) asked if the rewards equaled the money I lost from the incorrect order and was told again they were sorry and that was all. This is the third time that I've left here with a mobile order unsatisfied. Last night I did mobile ordering and it took longer then it should have to prepare the food.
