3.5 stars This is one of my favorite of the chain restaurants. I know its bad for you, but yet its so so good. I'm partial to the Smokehouse Turkey and the Artichoke sandwich, but I'll try just about any new sandwich they get because almost all of them are tasty. The salads are also pretty good and the ingredients are usually fresh. The bread isn't bad, but I've had better. Still for a chain store its pretty good. The bagels are pretty good here, with asiago cheese being one of my favorites. The everything bagels are also pretty decent. Again, this is with the caveat that its a chain store, so they aren't going to be making phenomenal bagels. The only thing that's a disappointment is the coffee. Its just not good. I"m not sure whether its left in the pot, whether they don't clean out the machine or its bad beans. I just don't like it. Service is pretty fast. Thankfully they did away with the annoying buzzers. There is plenty of seating and they usually play good jazz(as opposed to the Kenny G garbage(Vomit)). The place is usually very clean and their bathrooms are well kept. They have free wi-fi which ALWAYS works and is very speedy. You will have to hunt around for a plug though if you don't have a big battery/long battery life. What is annoying is that they crank the a/c in there so its very cold during spring/summer/fall. Be prepared to wear a sweatshirt and/or long pants if it isn't winter. read more

I was taken aback today when the sign inside said that you get a free cookie for using their kiosk to order. This is a genuine untouched photograph of my free cookie. My lunch guest also received a similar cookie. We went up to ask what the problem is with it and they said no that's what we do we break them up. Really, I am appalled. read more

It seems as if every time we order (which is often, we're a large business within a mile of this Panera) something is missing or incorrect. It could be as minor as forgetting our silverware, or as major as forgetting a whole soup, or giving us the wrong one. And it does not make a difference whether it be via delivery or rapid pick up. Really hoping this Panera's management team trains their associates who package the food to be more diligent in ensuring all of the items that belong with the order are in there. read more

This spot gets 4 stars instead of 5..for the fact they didn't have any french onion soup ready at 11:30 am for me to dive into. I asked what else they had that was diary free, and chicken noodle was the only option she gave me. It was fine, but not what I wanted. I'm all about the Napa Almond Chicken Salad sando to go with the soup, you pick 2 option. And if after a nice spin class and you feel it's OK to eat the rich, fudge brownie, go for it. Went here today with my boyfriend for lunch and it was good. This location seems a little smaller then some. The food is good. The only thing I didn't like is that you guys had no cold coffee like other locations. I could of asked for a coffee cup, but the two other locations I went to had cold coffee. So for me I just thought this location might. I'll know for next time to ask for a coffee cup or how ever it works. read more

Usually when we go here the food is great. Went there today and the broccoli soup was super cold, the bread was stale,and the bbq chicken flat bread was cold (the chicken had a rubbery texture). I couldn't even finish any of the food. I feel nauseous. I don't think I will be going back. read more

Panera, as a whole, is a pretty consistent organization. There are very few differences between the stores. The food is consistently delicious. The service is consistently friendly and knowledgeable. The prices are ... a little steep, but if they save me the time of having to make my own black bean or cheddar broccoli soup, then so be it. read more

Like most reviews here Panera Bread is a well oiled machine. Good service, tasty food and comfortable seating. Tip: If you plan on coming for lunch arrive before noon. It can get very busy with a line up to the door by 12:15. Seating can be limited. It's best to claim your seat right after you order especially if you need two or more seats. Normally I'm a fan of Panera. And now they've brought back their Autumn Squash Soup, a personal favorite -- although this year it seems a little sweeter than last. But still everything seemed good until I bit into their new, soft, dinner roll. I hesitate to continue with this review... That roll was such a bland ball of sadness... It must have been created by someone on the verge of suicide. An I don't want this review to tip them over the edge. Yet I am compelled to warn others. If you are the person behind the recipe, please find someone to talk to before you read on. I have never had anything that made Wonder bread seem like a joy of life. I normally enjoy the breads at Panera. Their country white is always a favorite to buy if I am making sandwiches at home. It is always a good stop to pick a loaf of ciabatta or focaccia up if you are going to someone's home for dinner. But this roll, somehow came from the same place. The outside is a dull and uniform brown that offers no resistance to the fingers. The softness itself is like a panic of having offended someone in a past life with offering a hearty crust or even something that would protect the rest of the bread inside. This "crust" had already surrendered to death. If that had been it, the roll might have been saved. But no! The inside had abandoned any hint of texture or flavor. There was nothing for my taste buds to grasp onto. Comparing it to cotton balls is useless because at least that would have implied texture. This ball of melancholy would not even grant you that. I never thought Kierkegaard was right to find industrialism to be the death of individuality until this dinner roll. I hope that the baker who came up with this has not succumbed to the nihilism that eating this roll implies. To whomever you are, I tell you life is not all bad. Find something you love and fight for it. I fear this message may be too late. The rest of the food was good and the staff, as always, very pleasant. read more

Dirty. Dirty tables, debris under tables, dirty glass windows an doors. I went in at 2 pmon a Wednesday. 10 people seated in the dining area. Not busy at all. Other days I go in during non-peak hours and store is not busy, but dining area is always dirty. read more

I ordered a kids grilled cheese for my sister and it was only half of a grilled cheese. All the other panera's I've been to and gotten that , it is a full sandwich. You pay $4 and change for a half of a stinkin grilled cheese there. That location is a rip off. read more

This Panera and several other Panera locations -- they just cannot seem to get all the details right when I customize items. How hard is it to make sure the order is right? When I order a salad, the salad dressing is often the wrong one. If I say, no bacon, they always forget and still add bacon. Listen, Panera Bread, not everyone eats bacon/pork products, for many reasons. Please get the orders right. Don't make silly mistakes. Your food is overpriced, and we expect you to get the order right. read more

This is a great place to eat and relax, I don't get to go here often but I always enjoy my visit and my meal.

I've dined here before but most often opt for Rapid Pick-up to avoid the line. Always had good service until this week. My lunch order was 10 minutes late, and even then, I had to ask for it. If they were busy, I'd be more understanding, but it was totally dead. Seems like a bad sign for this location. read more

Just like every other Panera I've been too, although perhaps not quite as large. My daughter is a fan of this chain and I will acquiesce to her pleas to dine here when we're out and about. The bread is good, although I try not to eat much bread these days. The food is okay, although I don't think great. I find Panera to be overpriced for what one gets. read more

I was a little disappointed by this Panera today. First, they were out of baguettes at 6:30PM. Their name is Panera BREAD so I don't get how they can be out of BREAD. Anyways, they were also out of Pepsi and several other sodas which was annoying. But the icing on the cake was when I got my tortellini alfredo and the pasta was cold. Not just a little chilly, but frozen. I don't think it was cooked all the way. The people who worked there were very nice & friendly when I brought my pasta back and I don't think it was their fault but their food is definitely not as high quality as I'd expect from Panera. read more

Oh my word! I have not eaten at this place in ages. I stopped here for lunch solo during work. Got squash soup and the turkey sandwich. Dear lord was it delicious! I liked panera in the past but its so much better now. Not just a sandwich place. Flavors were just divine. I would even ask for more seeds in the soup garnish, the crunch was a welcome addition. Such a relaxed easy going dining experience. Staff was very friendly and kind. I had left my wallet in the car and they were patient with me. 5 stars all day long! read more

My experience here tends to be inconsistent. Except for the green tea. I wish they made this in a bigger size. My friend got me hooked on this and with each visit it is a necessity. My usual here is half soup (vegetarian friendly) and half mediterranean veggie with a side of chips. I've tried the lobster sanwich (seasonal special) it is quite pricey but it does tend to be meaty. My only complaint about this place is they do not give you enough soup for the bread bowl. You get about 20% soup and 80% bread. Its a bit of a rip-off. Lunch time tends to get very busy so try to avoid. read more

Recently ive had problems at this store. Nothing crazy but stuff that erked me. I had a free bagel on my rewards card and when i got to the register the girl said their pc was down and i could not use it. I should have caused a sceene, I think that was rediculous. The time before the i asked for my everything bagel in a separate bag than my cheese danish and they didnt do that. I got a cheese danish with onions and popyseed all over it. Not appatizing. Then, they gave me the wrong cream cheese and i paid for a soda and the fountain machine wasnt turned off and i had to go and look for someone to turn it on. The last time i went here the soda machine was turned off again, they burnt my bagel and something else happened. If this wasnt 5 minutes from my job i wouldnt go back. Id settle for wawa and get toasted bread for a bagel. read more

I haven't really eaten here until a couple days ago. This place always seems packed during lunch hours. When I came here for lunch I got a broccoli cheddar soup and a chicken chipotle panini sandwich. My thoughts on these two things is good. The broccoli cheddar soup is very good I loved the thickness of the soup and you get the broccoli and cheddar in each sip, although I feel there is more of a broccoli taste with a hint of cheddar. I order a Mac and cheese and when I was served it there was a ton of green yuck in the bowl. So I calmly asked for a new bowl that was clean and when I was given a new bowl there was still yuck in it everywhere. Last journey to Panera thanks for nothing. read more

Lots, lots of cross contamination with the meats that are being prepared. I would not recommend if you are vegetarian as the meats at one point have touched either your sandwich or salad. By far the worst I have seen while working anywhere.(I am servsafe certified and have attended culinary school) Managers will treat the customers well and treat the employees like crap who are already overworked and not paid well. So if your sandwich is not made in 5 minutes, you know why. I chose to leave and stop eating there because it goes against everything I was taught in culinary school. read more

Easy choice, place is clean, manager seems attentive along with other staff. Service was quick and the food is good( I think I could have a gallon of the tomato soup and then bread speaks for itself). Nice place to stop in for a quick bit, especially if your trying to get away from the normal fast food chains and are opting for something healthier. read more

Second time here, the food was good but high priced for what you get. Employees are not very friendly. The tables and floor were dirty both times I was there. They definitely need to update. The cup they gave me had a hole in it and was leaking all over..the spoon they gave me for the soup was dirty.. I will give them another chance because the food was good.. After waiting a considerable amount of time my disc flashed and the staff apparently does not oversee who is taking what order and a woman disappeared with my sandwich....she returned saying it is not hers and the associate looked at me and said..."you really do not want it now?" I said of course not you will have to remake it! While waiting there another woman returned her soup with a hair in it!!!! Gross!!! I ordered a grilled cheese today. The grilled cheese I used to receive was the gooey, melty, cheesy, delicious sandwich on the grilled bread. Today - and previous grilled cheeses I've had - was a cheese sandwich. It was not grilled, melted, the cheese didn't even stick to the bread. The sandwich was also cold. My husband and I visited this location for the first time. It was about 6:30 on a Saturday evening. I noticed the manager walking around but not really doing anything. The girl who took our order kept touching her long hair, which was not tied back. I ordered a sandwich and it came without the apple I requested. My husband ordered the Chicken almond salad sandwich with the soup. He was given the Turkey apple sandwich instead. The prep area didn't appear as clean as it could have been. The person behind the counter kept wiping his hands on his apron as he was preparing the sandwiches. The overall appearance of the restaurant was dirty. I had a hard time finding a table that looked clean or didn't have food or paper on the floor underneath the booth. Two workers did come out to sweep the floor and wipe the tables. Although the one worker did a good job of trying to sweep up, the other worker mostly just stood around and was talking. Seats still looked greasy and one seat still had lettuce on it. The carpets don't seem conducive in trying to keep the restaurant clean. They looked dirty even though they had just been swept. The parking lot was very dirty with a lot of trash around. Filled and empty cups were littering the parking spaces. I don't think my husband and I will return to this location. read more

My visit on Saturday (08/20/2016) was horrible, due to staff including the manager, Alex! Typically, I am a fan of Panera Bread, therefore am torn to have to write this review. I've been visiting NJ from California for 2 weeks and have been to this location 4 times. My first 3 visits were pleasant, the customer service very good (particularly the cashiers) and the food was similar to what I'm accustomed. That all changed Saturday (08/20/2016). Yesterday, in ordering the cashier asked for my Panera card, though he was already holding it in his hand and waved his wrist saying "oh yeah, well", he did not ask what I'd like with my salad, i.e. bread, apple or chips. When I mentioned it to him, again with the attitude "oh, well, you can change it at the counter". Change what? He then walked over to the salad prep person, whispering to her and looking at me. At the pick-up counter, I asked if there was pepper added to my salad and the response, it's mixed salt and pepper. I replied, I'm sorry, I can't have salt (I had surgery this week due to Congestive Heart Failure). She replied "well if you want pepper, you can get it yourself over there" pointing to some location. When I asked to speak to the manager, Alex, he timidly approached me and I asked, can we speak over here (out of ear-shot of other customers and staff). When I explained what had occurred he said "oh, I'm sorry about that" and nothing else. No offer of perhaps a pastry, or drink or cup of soup or chips or anything. He just let me stand there looking at him. Mind you, I am not a boisterous person and was very diplomatic and professional in speaking with him. I have another week in NJ and am not sure if I will return here again, at least not during the shift that Alex manages. Someone said "a smelly fish starts at the head" and in this case the head is Alex. The customer following me approached me outside and said they had also had a bad experience. If this location is a franchise, I am going to find a way of letting the owner know about this. That's how bad things were on Saturday, 08/20/2016 at approximately 2:00 PM. read more
