Panera is one of those places where you already know exactly what the experience is going to be before you pull into the parking lot. It's consistent, but it's also pretty unremarkable. The only reason I stop at this Warwick location anymore is for a loaf of their focaccia bread. It makes a great panzanella salad at home, and that's honestly the one thing that keeps me coming back. If they ever stopped baking it, I doubt I'd have much reason to visit. The restaurant itself is clean, including the dining area and the bathrooms. It has that familiar Panera look that's modern and tidy, although it also feels a little sterile. This location has plenty of parking, which makes stopping in quick and easy, especially if you're just grabbing something to go. The employees have always been friendly whenever I've visited. I skip the self-order kiosks and head straight to the counter because I'd rather order from a person. The service has always been efficient, and I'm usually back out the door in five minutes or less with exactly what I came for. As for the rest of the menu, I haven't ordered a full meal here in years. In my opinion, Panera has gradually declined over time. The prices have gone up, the portions don't seem as generous as they once were, and the food just doesn't excite me anymore. Years ago, it felt like a fresh alternative to typical fast food. These days it feels more like another chain that's coasting on its reputation. So, three stars. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, there's plenty of parking, and the focaccia bread is worth picking up if you're making something like a panzanella salad. Beyond that, it's just Panera. It does what it's supposed to do, but it's no longer somewhere I'd go out of my way to eat. read more

Always amazing every time I go they always have everything fresh lined up on the counter as fast efficient people are friendly. It's near. Our daughter's house was convenient for me to go and grab a coffee or something while I'm either out doing errands for them or while I'm actually visiting at their house. Dirty dining room - pretty much no clean tables to sit at, we had to wipe down a table in order to sit down, no silverware given to my friend who ordered food, she had to ask for a knife, and then it was dirty. Not enough hot water to fill my cup for a large tea that I just paid for, only enough water to fill the cup halfway and so I made the employee who took my order aware of the problem, showed her my half full cup . . . and she asked if I wanted "more water than that" in my cup. I ordered using the tablets since there was a long line. My order of salad and Mac and cheese cake out quickly and was delish. Perfect temp on the Mac, salad properly tossed. The green juice blend is also a big favorite of mine and I always make sure to grab a cup! I love that they have actual dishes and utensils that can be washed and reused especially with the big push against plastics in our cliimate crisis. I wish they had reusable cups as www lol but the dining wade alone make this quick and easy meal quilt free. I enjoy panera when I'm on a rush and craving their green Goddess salad. Overall a nice restaurant and the food is consistent with other franchises, but the service here is consistently below other locations. Food is frequently late to come out. My most recent "rapid" (as an aside please don't call this rapid) order was 20 minutes after the quoted "rapid" pick up time. They frequently reply with "sorry we are slammed", which seems less like a legitimate excuse and more like an opportunity to hire more team members. With that being said, losing customers to slow/poor service is a quick way to catch up with demand. read more

Oh Panera, I'm glad how few people go to you. When you walk into this particular location you are immediately blasted with some nice brisk air. Not too cold but just enough to make you comfortable. On your right there is a huge display of pastries and smoothies which is amazing! You can choose from anything on the display and they will cut it for you right there. The employees greeted me with a smile and even made a joke about the weather (typical chit chat you don't get from a "fast food" place.) There is a rather large dining area that is pretty much blocked off from the "serving" area. There are two fire places with conventional tables, booth's, and even a "longing" area for you to pick your desired eating area. I just went in for a quick smoothie but ended up leaving with the frozen strawberry lemonade! Yum! It was so delicious! The only thing that keeps me from giving this place five stars was the size of the damn straw in this lemonade! It was literally the size of a penny. It was just to much. This is easily a place I'm going to go for lunch for now on (it's a little pricey but totally worth it). I wish I had known it was so close to me this whole time! read more

I love the food, usually, at Panera but the last 2 times I have gone to the Warwick, RI location has been horrible and I get no satisfaction calling to talk to anyone. Yesterday a white cheddar cheese sandwich I ordered without some horseradish sauce. I recieved bread and beef, nothing else. I called to complain. I had the order slip but the manager who sounded 12 could not find my order. I was on the phone for 15 minutes and he told me he had to put me on hold. I said no and he said he was putting me on hold and went click. This was the second time I complained. The first time, 6 months ago, they were to credit me back on my Panera Card for the next time I came in. I never got the credit. I find this just unacceptable. read more

Girl named Kaley approached the counter and starting digging in her scalp as I was ordering. I guess she had an itch. I told her to either wash her hands or wear gloves, because what she did was unsanitary and she was about to handle food. When I approached the counter, she pretended not to see me. another employee told her to help me. She pretended to be busy fidgeting with the magnetic strips that have soup names on them (it was 830am), and I know she saw me. It was dry and had more bread than chicken it was a chicken tender to burned and dry waste of time and I sat at window looking at Popeyes chicken which was tastier and moist and half the price Panera was a great place when they first opened but had gone down in quality and up in cost, everything now is skimpy, I mean really they serve you a giant bowl with very little salad and barely any chicken. The food was OK but the service terrible. I had my MyPanera card out during the entire order but the clerk said she could not enter the number because it was too far into the checkout process. The manager could not do it either and said to use the receipt and mobile app to get credit. When I got home the receipt was nearly illegible and I could not read the number to enter. I finally had to open a support request to get credit for the visit. The clerk was also clueless about the food, my wife asked what was in a particular sandwich and was never told it had onions, which it did and she did not enjoy it at all. I forgot how big the sandwiches are so I asked how big a whole sandwich was and was told "Two Halves". Such a helpful answer! They need to train the clerks and managers! The point of improvement would be to have newer seats in booths. A lot of them were so worn out, they almost had a hole. It was uncomfortable to seat on them. This Panera location is my go-to for a quick and consistently yummy lunch when I'm out running errands. The service is friendly and the food is well made and consistent. There is plenty of seating and tons of natural light through big windows. There are plenty of places to sit and plug in a lap top or tablet and comfy chairs, tables, and booths. Even when it's busy the food comes out fairly fast. Not sure what else can be said for a chain sandwich shop, other than this location is better than some. read more
