I need Panera to pick a struggle. You can't be overpriced and stingy with ingredients and inaccurate when filling orders. This is your basic Panera, nothing amazing and nothing egregious. They used to be worse at getting orders wrong but that aspect has improved in the last several months so I bumped them up to 3 stars. My breakfast sandwich looked a little sad under the hood but it did taste good. The cafe area is clean and the drink dispensers stay stocked so I can't complain too much. I do wish they'd leave the little butter packets out and accessible to customers so you don't have to ask an employee (and ask for more when they inevitably only give you 1 or 2). read more

I just want to say how shocked I am at how terrible the food here is. I had a family relative order a tuna sandwich for me, and let's just say it was NOT as advertised. For starters, the bread was stale, I asked for light greens and there was more than there was tuna, and the half a sandwich looked about band as big as on the online menu. The tuna was very bad quality, even worse than your average chicken is the sea, with waaaay too much mayo. and even the soda had too much syrup. Love to go to Panera and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately I only stop by occasionally due to the high prices and small portions. This visit I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken & Broccoli Warm Bowl and it was fantastic, however I certainly expected more considering the price of just over $13. I think Kerrie D said it best: "I feel neutral about this Panera." For me that also includes this campus of chain stores, and this particular area of this particular town. It exists. I don't frequently think about it or have a reason to come here, because everything here exists elsewhere in areas of town that I'm already going to. That being said, of all the nearby Paneras, this is probably the best. Ample parking, easy to get navigate in and out of, plenty of room inside the restaurant itself, and cheap coffee in large portions. I seem to be having a lot of meetings here lately because it's a great location (as it's both close to the highway and close to residential areas of Greater Portland). However... 1. Because of the layout, the line here at lunch is *literally* out the - and crowded around the - door (and customers don't seem to be very friendly when you try to squeeze around them to leave). 2. The staff here is... not the friendliest. They try to move people in and out of the queue (regardless of how busy it is) as quickly as possible and it comes off pretty brusque. 3. The acoustics are annoying - it seems like you always have to talk louder than the table next to you to be able to hear the person across from you. I'm not actually sure why people choose here of all places to meet given that. Segue... 4. The tables and chairs are positioned way, way too close to each other. Everyone is on top of each other and that definitely lends to the loudness (and to nasty glances from people as you try to squeeze in and out of your own chair). Like most other Panera Bread stores was consistent with what you expect. Broccoli and cheese soup was hit and rich.

This Panera is a Panera. Its at a convenient location for meeting people from across the line and has ample seating, it's easy to find, and they serve everything. Its a good catch all. Their food is good and their drinks are solid -- I can't find anything to complain about. I've also never had to wait for any reason here and the staff is pleasant. read more

I have a neutral feeling about Panera Bread. I have had some really good meals here and definitely feel that their quality is higher than other fast food stops. On the other hand, I am sometimes, baffled by how unexpectedly expensive they can be. I recently, got a sandwich, soup and beverage for lunch which ran me $19!!! It was a good lunch, but honestly, for that kind of money there are other places in town with much stronger local quality! There is one thing though, that I consistently love about Panera Bread, and that is their breakfast souffle. These personal sized souffles are only available until 10:30 in the morning and are so popular, that they go quickly. Sometimes, it's only luck and timing that will score you one! They come in a few different combinations, all are great. Think of a warm and flaky croissant baked with different quiche fillings. I'm not typically near a Panera on a work morning, but if you are on the road looking for a quick takeout on your way to work in the morning, definitely worth the trip! read more

I am sad to say this but Panera has gone downhill in the last few years. I have had many lunches there and I don't know if it's the food quality or the people preparing it but it's not like it used to be. The tables also have crumbs and other food debris from previous patrons. I think it's important to always clean the tables after people have left. I know it's a busy place but it would take a few seconds to wipe down the tables. Bottom line is..I won't stop going there because it's convenient and still a good place to meet friends for coffee. read more

I've been a long standing Panera fan. I love all the food, from the prepared soups/salads/sandwiches, down to the delectable desserts and breads you can buy in the bakery section. I've got a couple gripes about this particular location. Luckily, they aren't dealbreakers but enough to make me go elsewhere when I'm in a rush. 1) It doesn't matter what time you visit, there's going to be a line . Sometimes it's due to a rush of hungry people coupled with training cashiers or just employees who move slow. Other times it's because people don't know how to use the new kiosks. 2) When you order online, you have a 50/50 shot of actually being able to grab your bag at the pick up time you selected. The last time I ordered I waited an additional 15 minutes. That's a lot when you're on a lunch break! Now for my unwarranted suggestion... include a drink with your meals or lower your prices a tad! I always resort to pouring myself a cup of water because my half soup/half sandwich is already costing me $12. I'm a fan of the chain but these factors mentioned above often pull me elsewhere. read more

(Visit Thursday 05/10/2019 @ 6:40pm This restaurant is always dirty, with food scraps on the floors in the kitchen and dining area. Management and staff on our last two visits was arrogant, unapologetic and bullying. Each time our food was not served correctly, dishes were dirty and requests to correct the order were not fulfilled correctly number of times. Staff preparing food was gossiping and commenting loud enough for me and my wife to hear the insulting remarks. Salad was served twice on a dirty dish, with wrong ingredients and missing order parts, an egg with dark stains and to top it off a tablespoon heap of salt and pepper placed in the middle of the dish. We will NEVER... EVER dine in that restaurant again. read more

Since I go back I'll give it a two instead of a one. The place is usually understaffed. Service is slow. Manager has an attitude that filters down to employees who last. Coffee pots are often empty or luke warm. Tables aren't cleaned often enough. Food on the floor isn't uncommon. Coffee club is a good deal. This location is a poor reflection on Panera. Came into this Panera tonight because chipotle was closed. Ordered on the machines in front of the register because there were about 7 people in the kitchen standing around and talking. I wanted Mac and cheese but the ordering machines said they were out. I asked the manager if they had any and she barely responded and said yes and walked away? I told her that it was saying sold out and you'd think she'd want to come over and take my order but no. Got a salad and they give you HALF FILLED CUPS OF DRESSING. A full salad with only an ounce of dressing in it. Is Panera that cheap they can't fill the container all the way? I asked for another one and got the same thing again. They threw my bread in the bag with no wrapping or anything, and then forgot to give my friend a piece of bread. You'd think all those people pretending to work would remember to put the bread in. This is the worst Panera I've been to. I ordered online, grilled cheese and changed it to just American cheese and mozzarella on a chabata roll. Just picked up my order and these cheese is hardly melted, got the smallest sliver of mozzarella. I am so disappointed by it i really don't want to eat it. The service can sometimes be pretty slow; I've been the only person in line with two people behind the desk but not making eye contact or helping me for a couple minutes. There have been times that I've visited during peak breakfast hours and the bagel selection has been lacking. Stopped here with a friend for a quick lunch (her idea). I guess I like that Panera Bread is predictable (I always get the Cheddar Broccoli soup, half a sandwich and a piece of bread). This location is good. There was a bit of a line, so an employee pointed out the self-serve checkout line with the tablets. We decided to use that. Works pretty well, except that I couldn't figure out how to order my sandwich bread toasted, and I would have preferred it that way. I decided to not worry about it because they were busy and I didn't feel like making a big deal out of it. My friend ordered a lemonade and thought it would come out with her order, apparently you just get your own drink unless it's a specialty latte, and honestly I'm really not sure how they verify who has paid for their drink and who hasn't. It looks to me like anyone can just walk up and grab a drink of whatever... but hey, none of my business, I suppose. I'd never had their macaroni and cheese, but my friend ordered it. Even though it looked like plastic when she brought it to the table, I tried some of it because she kept raving about how it's one of her favorites. Honestly I did like the flavor, even though it was reminiscent of Velveeta and my childhood, in which I ate entirely too much boxed macaroni and cheese. When we stood to go, an employee promptly arrived to take away our plates.
