This restaurant is a bistro, so we didn't expect anything special in "ambiance." The restaurant was clean and not overcrowded. While our waitress handed us a menu, most of the offerings appear on a large chalkboard. They have all of the standard fare, and then some. My wife decided on two appetizers, short rib ravioli and belly clams. The sauce/broth in which the ravioli were served was wonderful. Each ravioli was filled with ricotta and topped with braised short rib meat and gorgonzola. The clams were tender, not heavily breaded and served with a homemade tarter sauce. I had a combination chicken parm and eggplant parm with a side of rigatoni. That combination seems popular in Portland, but not something I've encountered in the past. It was quite good with an excellent tomato sauce. The serving was more than I could eat. A definite on our "will return" list for next year.

We've heard great things about JP's and last night we finally tried it. Definitely lived up to the reputation! They have a large selection along with daily specials. We started with the wedge and Ceasar salad. Both were perfect. I had the Shrimp Athena and my wife had the Short Rib Raviolis. Both were amazing. Perfectly prepared, large portions and delicious, fresh ingredients. Finished with Taramisu and Key Lime Pie which were a perfect finish to a wonderful meal. We sat at the bar and our bartender was great. Very friendly and attentive, and the place was packed. This will definitely be a "go to" for us. FYI, the gentleman next to us ordered the rib-eye and commented the he is a regular and it was the only thing he orders there, and according to him it's the best steak in the Portland area. I'll be trying that next time!

We have been going to JP's for at least 10 years. The food is always perfect. They have amazing cocktails and service. I highly recommend JP's for a date night or special occasion.

Food is spectacular, the service is 5 star. From soup to nuts it's a healthy bill but well worth it.

3.25% operating cost. Never again. Let me guess: you "identify" as a Portland restaurant!

For a restaurant tucked into a nondescript mini mall parking lot, this place serves very respectable chow!

I was a little skeptical about trying this restaurant since it looks like a nouveau themed Italian…read morerestaurant which is located in the parking area of a shopping complex. Upon entry it has a unique appearance with modernist Italian decor wall decorations, overhead lighted fish, multiple seating levels, aged wood paneling, etc. The waitress was prompt, friendly and helpful. I opted for Shrimp Scampi. It was loaded with shrimp, not just placed on the top of the pasta as is so common. Delicate seasoning that was Italian, but with less garlic, sage and oregano than is typical. Fresh basil added an unexpected sweetness to the dish. Overall it was well prepared and quite tasty.

A year after I reviewed, I continue to be very happy with Sicilian Table…read more The food, the service, and location are great. The food isn't standard - there's a bit of flair to most of their dishes. While, I love it, it's important to pay attention to the ingredients. For example, I ordered a haddock sandwich during my last visit and I was expecting just mayo or tartar sauce and it was more tangy/zippy like a mustard. It was good just not what I was expecting/assumed. The fries - YUMMMY Our server was awesome! She checked in, gave us space and enthusiatically engaged with us when appropriate. I credit her for us trying the goat cheese and pita appetizer. IT WAS AMAZING!!! Our mocktails were delish and the envirment was comfortable per usual. Great job to this team and leadership on their consistency with food and service quality. We definitely will come back with friends.

Tried to give this place a shot, very disappointed. Definitely not a "Jewish Deli" as advertised…read morehere, it is a Boars Head sandwich shop and not much else. Don't come in expecting to see any fish other than a bowl of old tuna salad. No latkes, no kugel, no soups at all when I went, and I didn't see any pickles either. Just sandwiches and pasta salad. I decided to order a large sandwich on a sub roll, and my partner ordered a large on white bread. Noticed after placing the order that the entire place smelled heavily like burnt motor oil (I originally thought it was the customer ahead of me) so I assume they recently had some heating issues. They definitely should have aired it out and scrubbed the walls because not only does it stink, it's probably unhealthy and unsanitary. Food came out quickly enough, but the "large" sub roll is apparently no more than 7 inches long and not very filling. Both sandwiches were served on stale bread (the white bread was particularly stale) and were definitely overpriced - our lunch of two sandwiches while splitting a soda and chips cost about 40 dollars and neither one of us felt full. I see other sandwiches here are pictured toasted, but that option was not offered to us. The actual taste of the sandwich was mediocre at best. I won't be returning.

I really like this place!…read more I come here a couple times a week for lunch. They have two really good vegetarian sandwiches - the caprese and Sierra. Sometimes they have an egg salad sandwich on special too. Love that they offer a deli pickle - mmmm they're so good and at $1.29 a pretty good deal. I also started ordering their salads this week, and they are delicious. Really fresh greens, plentiful ingredients, and pretty dang reasonable at $10 for the amount you get. The pepperoncinis are sometimes kinda weird tasting, but I think it might be because they're slightly pickled? Just be aware of that. Really friendly service in here, and they have plentiful cheese and meat options, as well as wine and other goodies. Love that they carry Dead River chips! They don't skimp on ingredients, and that's the most important thing to me. Everything is fresh, the people are nice, you can order online - what's not to like? Try em out!
