Well Panera has done it yet again- I ordered a half Fugi chicken salad wit arugula and no other lettuces - I arrived and picked up me order - and as I always do now check for accuracy - SURPRISE - regular lettuce and arugula - saw the heavy set manager on duty Thursday evening who implied my order was wrong - even after I showed him my on line order - he threw away the salad and had staff prepare another with just arugula - I brought the salad with me to Rehoboth - and SURPRISE - the salad is correct - JUST NO - yes NO CHICKEN - this is not the first time the "checking for accuracy of your order" has been wrong - I do not believe I should have to check every time I order (but I do now) and to leave out the chicken is just unacceptable - if I could give this location a 0 I would - BAD MANAGEMENT STAFF - and poor quality control - just beware if you are ordering take out - check it closely and you may be surprised that it is correct!! read more

I mostly order through the Panera app for pick up or delivery. 9/10 times all customization is missed. Ex- dressing swaps, removing cheese from a sandwich etc. My favorite is the number of times I order an entire loaf of bread and select the thin sliced option but it comes unsliced. Aside from the fact that kids who never worked in the food service industry is all they can find to hire, the food itself is unimaginative, expensive and low quality. Save yourself time and money and go to WaWa for higher quality and better prices. For cookies, drinks and bread, I'd give it 3 stars. For sandwiches, soups and salads, I'd give it no stars, I wrote this place off many year ago - because it is just terrible, but I was given a gift card and decided to get what I imagined would be an average salad and sandwich. The Time management is terrible. You might just walk in --it is faster than pre-order. Tuesday morning, 11/14/2023. People waiting in line all the way to the door, and mixed with dining in, and pre-ordered for pick up. No one would have thought of to form a pick-up customers' line, everyone is in one line. So walk-in customer could get their food faster than you ordered at 6am. The manager is extremely rude, I told him I am here for pick up and already got text message confirmed that my order is ready. So it was left out for sometime until I went up and asked about my food, they told me it was made already but thrown out cause it was out for awhile. They remade my food quickly and it was fine. I have been coming to this location for years, and it has continued to go down hill. Last visit I experienced the worst service I have anywhere in awhile. I am in the hospitality industry and love to engage with service workers. The workers here were all on their phones, joking loudly and inappropriately with one another, and not paying attention to making orders or speaking to guests. I had to say Hello First and wave my arms to get their attention. I then waited 15 mins for my small order when there was no one else in front of me. The workers were shrieking and laughing loudly. This is the worst Panera I have ever visited. It was dirty- floors and tables. I am attaching a picture of under the table. They didn't tell us until after we ordered and paid that they were out of the soup and cookies we had ordered. They were also out of the other soups I was interested in, so I got a Pick 2 with Mac and cheese...and a Mac and cheese bread bowl. Between the two of us, we received 4 forks for some reason. Only one of them was clean. The food was also cold by the time we received it. There is a guarantee posted that If our order is wrong, we get a free "treat" for the trouble. This did not occur. Usually I love Panera. Good food. This is the closest one to my house. The service is always horrible. You wait at a minimum of 15 minutes for your food. Regardless of the size of your order. Don't even bother stopping during peak breakfast/lunch/dinner-You'll easily wait 30 minutes. If you order curbside, be prepared to wait-no matter how far in advance you order (if they even bring it out to you at all). Staff is rude and the entire store is unorganized. This Panera Bread is in a strip mall at the southeast corner of Kirkwood Highway and Duncan Road. The parking lot actually seemed a bit inadequate for the Saturday morning crowd. It is also oddly steep for the area, although that's only an issue if your vehicle is prone to brake failure. Inside, the cashiers work slowly and one of them seemed to disappear for long periods of time, even though there was a line. Once I got past that, I thought the rest of the restaurant was okay. Food preparation was reasonably efficient and the ambiance was okay. They just have to do something about the cashier line. read more

Super disappointing service from this location. Called in on a Friday afternoon to place an order for 15 dozen bagels and the store took my order/credit card telling me I could pick up my bagels on Saturday at 7am. Then on Saturday at 6:10 am the store calls telling us they can't fill the order or any order for us and we are flat out of luck for any bagels for our education conference that Saturday at 8 am. Luckily, we were able to be resourceful and scramble a bunch of co-workers to Dunkin Donuts to make up for this mistake. Pretty crummy service and lousy ability to creatively come up with some type of solution for us and our conference. We definitely will be rethinking frequenting a business we often use. Local businesses Zoup and Pure Bread have same amount of review and have 4 stars instead of 3. Might need to be a customer at these businesses based on Panera's customer service. read more
