We ordered a few things, I couldn't resist getting the giant merengue that I saw in a few flavors. I went classic vanilla, it was good but not best I've had. It tasted like it may have been sitting a few days. Nonetheless it was enjoyable and there were little stools by the window to stop and enjoy your treat/breakfast. Prices were decent here. My partner, our friends, family member, and I arrived in the mid-afternoon on a Sunday after our visit to Murano and the gondola ride nearby for some sweet treats. The outside terrasse was busy in the late morning and early afternoon, but beware of the pigeons. Some of us went inside and unfortunately didn't see much of a selection. Instead we opted for some gelatos such as mango & coconut , strawberry and lemon, and mango. All accompanied a nice wafer. They were good and fulfilled our needs. The price was comparable to the area. The staff was not welcoming as they need to be a bit motived. A real shame for a place that has a long tradition in Venice.

Looking around, I saw that they had macarons and was excited to try them as someone else has mentioned they were good (at the place I was originally looking for) so even though it was expensive (9€ for 7 pieces that were just a little bigger than a half dollar coin), we bought them. After dinner back at our hotel, I was super excited to try them out and then super disappointed that they were ROCK HARD. Cracked and crumbled everywhere. I could knock someone out with one of these things. Highly disappointed. I would not try anything else packaged from here or recommend this place as the lady who was taking the money was also not so welcoming.

The ingredients taste incredibly fresh, natural, and high quality, allowing each flavor to shine without being overly sweet or artificial. Every bite was rich, creamy, and exactly what authentic Italian gelato should be. One piece of advice: eat it fast! We happened to visit during the record-breaking heat wave, and our gelato started melting almost the moment it was handed to us. I asked for recommendations and his were all on point, including the changing daily special flavor. Today's was dark chocolate and it was the best gelato we have had on this multi city Italian tour, and Venice is city #10 on this tour for us! In fact it was so good my family of four went back after dinner for a second helping and to try other flavors. We experienced the same fast and friendly service from Dennis, and the same outstanding quality and deliciousness from the gelato. Highly recommend grabbing gelato here for anybody visiting. You will not regret it!
