We popped in today and were impressed by the huge selection of sandwich options. The cheese selection alone was worth the visit. They offer unique choices like Stilton, horseradish cheddar, and several English cheeses (plus plenty of brie options that work beautifully on their sandwiches). It's not your typical deli lineup, which makes the menu fun to explore. We ordered the half sandwich and half salad combo, which was the perfect portion for lunch. You can also order full sandwiches or full salads, and they offer chips on the side if you want a little crunch with your meal. For dessert we split an ice cream sandwich called "Monkey in the Middle." It had banana ice cream between two soft cinnamon cookies with chocolate hazelnut spread. This is a cute little sandwich shop in the cute little town of Los Olivos. They have a wide variety of sandwiches and salads, and a lot of vegetarian choices. We ordered sandwiches to go, so we could take them to a winery. The woman who helped us was very nice, and patient as we made our choices. Be aware that a lot of the sandwiches come with honey mustard, tomato, red onion, green bell peppers and lettuce. We asked for no honey mustard on the chicken salad but they didn't substitute anything for it. So the sandwich was a bit dry. Also very messy as it isn't a "mayonnaisey" chicken salad, but it was very tasty. The roast beef and jalapeño cheddar was also very good, but again with the honey mustard. I wish I had asked for mayo and regular mustard. My friend enjoyed her avocado & cheese, and commented that because of all the additional vegetables that it was almost like a salad. We all chose sourdough as our bread, and it was delicious. The sandwiches are large, too. Definitely worth a stop if you'd like a nice, casual lunch. read more

Ordered this expecting a balance of sharp Stilton and sweet pear. What arrived was structurally closer to a cranberry landslide than a sandwich. The bread, presumably present somewhere underneath, gave up entirely -- every bite disassembled itself before reaching my mouth. And despite "Stilton cheese" being in the name, I could barely find any; what little there was got buried under an avalanche of dried cranberries that overwhelmed every other flavor. SCW stopped into Panino Los Olivos in between wine tastings in town. It comes highly recommended on Yelp and they seemed to do tons of business. There are tables and chairs outside along the main street or you can get your order to go. We did to go. The menu is overhead by number. They also have some laminated menus off to the side that give a description of what is in each sandwich or salad. I opted for #27 and SCW got #28 I think. Ordering took a few minutes just to get to the counter with so many people in line. Once we ordered (the employee we ordered from was helpful and kind) it took less than 10 minutes to get our sandwiches. We opted to go to a park across the street to eat as it's quite loud and busy in the seating area. My sandwich which was on whole wheat sourdough bread was good but really soggy. It's not like much time passed before I ate the sandwich but it was literally wet and dripping. Minus a star for that. The veggies inside were really fresh and flavorful. I enjoyed that aspect of the sandwich but not how soggy it was. I had a bite or two of SCWs sandwich and it was really tasty. Not at all soggy. Overall I enjoyed the sandwich and glad we opted to eat at the park as it's just too busy and loud to really enjoy the meal for me in the dining space. Their focaccia bread is similar to a ciabatta where is is not as heavily seasoned as a traditional focaccia and is baked in house and melts in your mouth. Great large outdoor seating area or great for calling in a Togo order. We ordered 12 sandwiches for a poolside day and it was ready in 15 minutes. They also have beer and wine and every flavor of kettle chips. The chips come in small bags or they sell family size bags which is nice for a crowd. 10/10 recommend great spot with great food and lots of options.
