Some locals recommended this breakfast spot in Santa ynez so I had to check it out. Upon arrival you'll find a charming old western exterior and when you go inside the cowboy theme continues. It's a hearty, no-frills restaurant filled with cowboy portraits, family photos, and regulars chatting it up. Greeted as we walked in the door by the server, we were instructed to grab any open table. Service was friendly and casual, and the food was exactly what we were looking for after a long weekend. Would definitely recommend the ham and eggs, French toast sandwich, or pancakes (they're massive!) Pricing is reasonable, especially considering how expensive everything these days is now. If you haven't been, check it out!

Run, don't walk, to Longhorn as soon as you can! So good. I mean it. Very very very good food. I love the Santa Ynez valley so much and as always, thank you to Yelp for showing us this hidden WONDERFUL gem. Since I don't know Santa Ynez to well, I cannot do my GETTING HERE intro. But, Yelp has the directions spot on so get out there ASAP. Kind of a small parking lot, but no big deal. They have outside and inside seating and since it was getting hot this morning we opted for inside. It's rather small inside, but don't let that fool you. We were seated quickly and given our water and menus right away. My guest loves the hashbrowns and they had link sausage too! So, done and done we knew what at least one of us was going to order. :) The food was delivered quickly and it was hot. For some reasons, the last few restaurants I have visited lately have served us cold food. Boo. I ordered orange juice (it was fresh squeezed) and the side of biscuits and gravy. My guest and I shared it all and it was real and it was spectacular. True story. Service was great. Environment/ambience of the coffee shop is so cute, westerny vibe. I highly 100000% recommend Longhorn!

    Denver omelet

I was here Wednesday morning with my wife and I ordered a Denver omelet with fryed potatoes and biscuit and ordered a side of gravy. The omelet was excellent, each bite with cheese ham, onion and bell pepper. The potatoes were nice and hot n tasty. The biscuit was fresh and hot and the sausage gravy was excellent and hot. The mix with biscuit and gravy worked well. My wife let me have a bite of her burger melt on rye, that was great! We had great customer service and my compliments to the chef, again, it was all good, dining experience and all.

Food was good, service was very good, but charging this much for breakfast at a greasy spoon - even in santa ynez - is insane.

The check-in process was a breeze; we simply shared our party size and dining preferences. Before we knew it, we were seated in about 15 to 20 minutes. Now, let me tell you about the atmosphere. Inside, it was quite lively and a bit loud, so we opted for a charming outdoor seating area that felt much more relaxed. I couldn't help but notice how the staff, dressed in traditional Danish attire, radiated warmth and friendliness while being impressively efficient. For my meal, I went with a Danish pancake accompanied by Danish-style sausage--absolutely divine! I also swapped my eggs for hashbrowns, and wow, these have to be the best hashbrowns I've had in years. My child chose a waffle topped with fluffy whipped cream and a glass of orange juice, which she raved about, claiming it tasted like fresh-squeezed goodness. The portions were more than generous, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. All in all, it was a delightful brunch experience that I'd gladly recommend!

Everything was scrumptious! The waffle was cooked to perfection, crisp on the outside, and warm & soft inside. Potatoes had lovely flavor and great texture, omelet was topped with creamy hollandaise, and that avacado toast was pure heaven! The chef even came on out and said I had given him an idea to add my avocado toast to his vegetarian options (I kinda customized it beautifully, on brioche, and no eggs-add veggies atop!) Reasonably priced, served in a timely manner, delicious food, ample portions, friendly service- what more could you ask for? As we passed by, the enticing menu caught our eyes, especially the children's skirt steak and fries--exactly what I wanted for her! However, I have to admit, the prices were on the higher side, which is typical for this type of restaurant. Still, given what we were paying, I was surprised by the lack of attention to detail, especially regarding cleanliness. There was quite a bit of dust on the ledge near our table, which triggered my allergies and led to a couple of sneezes. To add to the disappointment, our rolls arrived well after our entrées. By the time we finally got them, they were cold and a bit hard. When they did reach our table, a server in training accidentally dropped a salt and pepper shaker into our plate of rolls, and surprisingly, didn't seem to think twice about it. On a brighter note, our main server was delightful, and the beef stroganoff was nothing short of heavenly. The meat was incredibly tender, and the mushrooms swimming in red wine sauce were a true highlight. I did find it a bit off-putting to see a surprise 2% surcharge tagged on to cover labor expenses. Honestly, I'd prefer higher menu prices that reflect the actual costs, rather than this nickel-and-dime approach. Employees deserve fair wages, but those extra fees can be frustrating. After all was said and done, my child's meal, my beef stroganoff, and just two rolls--with tax, a tip, and that extra charge--brought our total to just under $100. When I asked to take my leftovers home, I was handed a container to pack it all myself. Maybe it's just me, but when I'm spending that kind of money, I expect a bit more attentive service.
