We stopped at this pretty little gourmet market to charge our Tesla on a business trip from LA to San Luis Obispo. There are 8 charging stations. While charging, we wandered around the market to look at all of their high-end goodies. You will pay full retail plus here, but you're paying for convenience. We got stuffed olives, Crunchmaster Avocado Toast crackers, cheese, and a large bag of Cowboy Jerky for our hotel room. They also have a deli where you can order sandwiches and sides; homemade desserts and pastries; coffee; produce; wine ; and lavender bath products. There's one small bathroom for guests, and a dining area to sit and eat and wait for your Tesla to charge. All in all, this is a great little stop to charge your battery, stretch your legs, and browse a very cute little high-end market. read more

Small Town Market with a lot of selection. They offer freshly made desserts and food items. If you're traveling and need a restroom, they have one available for customer use. The prices are great and the service at the cash register was quick. Each time I'm in town, I have stopped here and picked up supplies as needed. Another nice part about this Market is that it is conveniently visible from the main road. This makes it an easy stop and an easy exit. read more

This place was a life saver while staying at the Camp Site at Lake Cachuma. They have everything you need, including bakery and deli items. I came here a few times over the weekend. The service I received was friendly. The place itself is conveniently located right off the 154 and has Tesla Super Charges right next to it. The place does have a few tables, for those that want to drink their coffee and eat their bakery item while their car charges. read more

Wonderful local grocery store. We visited this location a few times during our stay in Los Olivos. They have a variety of unique items and all the necessities. Stopped by here for a quick lunch with a friend while on the way to Pismo beach from LA. We mainly came for the deli but loved how full of unique items the grocery store was. The deli was very fast and delicious. We ordered the Tuscan treasure and gaviota gourmet sandwhiches which were both delicious. The service was very fast and friendly and they had nice seating outside to enjoy the sunshine. There was plenty of parking in their lot. My only negative was that the cashier wasn't the friendliest but everyone has their bad days!! read more

SCW and I stopped in to Los Olivos Grocery in between wine tastings to get some lunch. I looked at the reviews and we stopped in. They have covered seating areas on either side of the front entrance which makes it nice to dine at if you need to. It's clean, has some books available (kind of like a little library design, bring one, take one) as well. The interior is nice and well laid out. The deli is in back and the people there are very helpful and kind. We both ordered the Valley veggie wrap which was excellent. It's wrapped in a pita with tons of fresh veggies, lettuce, and goat cheese. The wrap is a good size, as such SCW only ate half and saved the rest for later. I also got some orzo salad which was also was good but didn't have as much flavor as I would have liked. On our way out we got a lemon bar which while good was a little too sweet for my taste. The employees are really helpful, cheerful and kind. I definitely will be back if we are in the area. Los Olivos Grocery certainly is a treat and everyone should be able to find something good here. read more

This delightful and unusual grocery stocks a mouthwatering selection of international comestibles and treats, plus an excellent deli and bakery. The selection of dry goods is sophisticated, but the ambiance of the outdoor seating is charmingly down-home country/funky. We have been stopping here on our trips to and from LA and Morro Bay for years, and always find something new and yummy to try. A word of caution - THE RESTROOM IS DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY, ALWAYS. And frequently the only working item in it is the urinal. The floor is usually littered with waste paper. The toilet is usually broken. The last tine I remember it flushing properly was back in 2019. I live in hope, but am continually disappointed. I hope the deli folks have a cleaner restroom in the back! read more

Adorable little grocery in Los Olivos with an awesome sandwich shop in the back serving up all your favorites with fresh made salad variations as well. Great bodega selection in the grocery section, pairs perfectly with a Sando. I got the Tepusquet Turkey sandwich, which was made to order and quite good. There's a cute little dining area in front to enjoy your food, which was a plus. I drive up north to Central Coast a lot and will definitely be back to try more sandos in the future. read more

Always interesting to revisit a place that you used to go to long ago and see how it's fared after the passing of time, plus the whole COVID chapter. They're still here, which is good. They've upscaled part of the front of the store, offering more of a farmers market kind of feel; also good. To order sandwiches and other deli food, you go all the way to the back of the store. A large counter showcases various prepared foods, and menu boards announce the options for freshly made sandwiches. Dear Hubby decided he was hungry / didn't want to share a sandwich. That meant that we ended up with a lot of food for two sandwiches. The sourdough bread is extra-wide, so when you load that up with filling, it's a big quantity. I went for the chicken salad, which was prepared country style - substantial chunks of chicken. The program is that you order the food at the back and get a ticket / go to the front check-out to pay / then go back and wait for your order to be ready for pick up. That wasn't straight-forward at first. You can take food to go, or you can settle at one of the tables at the twin covered porch areas out front. Those porches are "rustic", shall we say? A bit more attention to them, similar to what they did when they renovated the front produce area, would be a plus in my book. I'd recommend that if you're not super hungry, go ahead a split a sandwich, and get a little side order from the deli. We ended up with extra food we had to store in our portable cooler, and a bigger bill than expected for a quick food stop because we over-ordered. This is a unique grocery store in a rural area with a lot of historic charm. Worth a visit! read more

Food is just ok for potatoe salds and deli itmes compared to New Frontiers where you would have a better lunch.

I stopped here to charge my car and walked in with my son -- to our surprise, they had a wide selection of food, groceries, drinks, and all the little things we needed for our road trip. We ordered two cheeseburgers with extra cheddar and extra Thousand Island on the side, and they were exceptional. The fries were amazing too! If you're looking to charge your car and grab some good food, this is the spot. They even have sushi, which I didn't try this time -- but I'm looking forward to it if I'm ever back in the area. read more

So stopped in to grab a sandwich. Their grill wasn't working so they only had their cold sandwiches. I asked what's the best and the nice gentleman recommended: Tepusquet Turkey. I also got alittle bit of their potato salad. They start to work on making your sandwich and you have to take the ticket up front to pay then go back to pick up your meal when it's ready. I sat in their cute space to eat. I felt the sandwich was dry and lacking in flavors. Their potato salad was good but for my palate a little off on the afterbite. Honestly, going here once is good enough for me. I can check it off my list but I would say if you haven't been here go try it out. And maybe their grill will be up and going. How have I never been here? What a great little market & deli. We stopped in to meet up with a friend & grab a breakfast burrito. The best breakfast burrito I've had; hand cooked by the deli staff. This is a hidden gem of a spot!! In the back there's a meat and deli counter, try all of the sandwiches!! The combinations they have are excellent! Gaviota Gourmet and the Tuscan sandwich amazing! The salads are great too. Best little shop if you're looking for unique wines they have some great ones. Personally we stop there every year for the balsamic vinegar it's that good. Get two bottles or you'll regret it!! 24.99 a bottle is well worth the quality! Also the pastries are great, lemon bars pecan bars key lime bars were excellent. Was introduced to this little gem a few years ago and make it a MUST stop when in the Buellton area. The store has a wide variety of specialty grocery items (check web for details. What they also have is a dynamite deli in the rear of the store. From some breakfast items, to different side dishes that accommodate some amazing sandwiches, burgers. On this visit I ordered their grilled chicken sandwich and it was superb. Nicely grilled, tender & juicy skinless/boneless breast with Monterey Jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, pepperoncini, avocado, with mayo on toasted sourdough. Driving from Santa Barbara and heading up to Los Olivos via Hwy 154 for an early morning wine club pick up, we planned on stopping at Los Olivos Grocery to pick up all the picnic-fixin's we could possibly need. We were even early enough for a quick stop at Queen Bee Coffee for their Dirty Horchata. The staff at LOC is very friendly and knowledgeable and helped us with choosing some really delicious vittles. On their sandwich list my favorites have been their Tri-Tip, Roast Beef, and BLTA, and always complimented with either their Cobb Salad or Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad. And then to further compliment our impromptu picnic at Los Olivos Corner Park we were able to pick up some delicious Santa Ynez wines. Their wine and handcrafted beer selection is stellar and with a lot of our favorites there on the shelf. LOC also has an extensive selection of cheeses and cured meats, which means that for our next drive to Los Olivos we can put together an amazing Charcuterie board. read more

I've always loved the pastrami reuben, but this time the meat was dried out and the bread was dry and stuck to the paper they wrapped it in. I would never serve something dried out to a customer. I stop here often; I will stop less often after this. read more

This was our meeting spot for a hot air balloon ride..you can see my profile reviews for that (the ride was AMAZING). This little market has everything. A lot of specialty items (wine, cheese, meats, drinks, desserts, cigars, coffee, etc.). You can easily spend a good chunk of time and $$ here because there is so much good packed into this store. The deli menu is AMAZING. The clerks are friendly and suggested great lunch and breakfast items off of their menu. We had a breakfast taco! My first time having one and it was chorizo and eggs, hash browns, cheese and avocado on a corn tortilla with salsa on the side. WHAAAAATTTT!!!! I will be coming back just for this time AND I will try making them at home. We also had the turkey panini. Fresh breast turkey on a freshly baked panini with some kinda sauce inside (forgot what it was but it was good too). I wish my tummy was bigger because I wanted to try more. I was impressed with all the ingredients and freshness. Salads looked like they were just made, produce looked local and the wine selection is CRAZY! If you're in the area stop by even if your not hungry. You will find something in this market. Since it's off HWY 154, it's a good restroom stop... Bathroom is located outside the store. We stopped here to charge our car and grab lunch. It's a cute, rustic rest stop. It has grocery and deli along with a bathroom. You order and then pay at the front. The tritip sandwich and the chipotle turkey panini were delicious. The bbq sauce that paired with the tritip was so yummy. Will definitely go back if we drive through again. read more

This is a small market with friendly staff and reasonable provisions. I ordered a Caesar salad with no croutons which caused them to put about a half a cup of those woody Parmesan gratings. The dressing and lettuce were great, but the cheese was a real bummer. I felt bad for my friend who asked for no cheese, because they still put some on her salad. At least they kept the croutons off! There is both an outdoor picnic area (by the highway) as well as a covered patio area to enjoy your salad/sandwich. read more

We stopped here on our way to Zaca Mesa Winery for a tasting. We phoned in a carry out order for a little picnic lunch to pair with our wines I had the Curry Chicken Salad on a pita, and my wife had it on a salad. Both were delicious! The chunks of chicken were generous, the Curry sauce was perfect. Huge serving sizes, but so good we had no choice but finish everything My son had the BLTA, with no A. We asked for it on the side, which they forgot initially. I asked and they added it. We loved the sandwich, though it was a bit light without the avocado. We grabbed some bags of chips and were off the the tasting in no time They had plenty of outside seating that we could have taken advantage of if not for our scheduled wine tasting. Place to go to get your picnic stuff before heading to one of the many wineries in the area == especially on Foxen Canyon Road nearby. They havee a good selection of salads and sandwiched in their deli counter which they will prepare for you fresh. Liked the Curried Chicken on pita -- generous portion and enough for two if you get a side. I saw some local honey but not a ton of specialty, local products (like olive oils, jams, etc). Looks like a place where the locals get their groceries if they don't want to trek to The Albertsons in Buellton. read more

We absolutely love this little gourmet grocery store. We actually drove 2 hours to have lunch here (on their patio) then drove back home. We purchased some gourmet one pot pasta packages that we love to make at home. For lunch we enjoyed their delicious Kobe beef burgers and curly fries. YUM!!!!' And for dessert we took home lemon bars and pecan bars - so so good. We found the store heading home from Paso Robles last summer.
