This is the best addition to Floyd that I've experienced in my travels here to visit family. Owned by the same people behind Cocoa Mia (the delicious chocolate store next door), the quality of the food here is amazing and locally sourced. The owner knows their limited and ever-changing menu well and is happy to explain how everything is made and what's in it. Me and my boyfriend were seated 40 minutes before they closed, but my family arrived 10 minutes before closing but they kindly accommodated them as well! They also perfectly handled the allergies and intolerances of our table, the waitress went out of her way to make sure everything was correct. Not only is the food affordable with large portions, but it is all absolutely delicious. I got the savory crepes, my boyfriend got the steak Benedict bowl special, and my family members got variations of the same for their lunch. Everything was spectacular. The steak Benedict bowl special was the standout for us here, the steak pieces were perfectly cooked. There's indoor and outdoor seating and both are beautiful with great views! With the French vibes of the place and the care given to each dish in the menu, I was pleasantly surprised at how affordable our family meal was. I was not familiar with this restaurant but so happy their Valentine's dinner event popped up on my Facebook feed. Four of us made reservations and it was truly a wonderful evening! Four courses and the option to add a wine paring, which one in our party did. The rest of us ordered from the regular beer and wine menu. It would have been helpful to know which wines were served in the pairing so perhaps next time add that information to the menu. Service was spot on, ambiance was relaxing and cozy, timing and temperature of everything was perfection! Thank you for a fabulous evening and very happy tummies! This cute little restaurant is a gem! The good is outstanding! I travel to France regularly for work, and I would rate our meal (and wine pairing) equal or better than most I've had there. My partner and I shared the local trout and vegan eggplant veggie mix. Both were fantastic. Kudos to the chef. And the service was friendly and engaged. Great restaurant in Floyd. Food was delicious and fresh. We love that it is a family run business. We were welcomed by the owners who also made sure we were pleased with our experience. We enjoyed that they have chocolate, pastries and drinks at the front of the restaurant. Their handmade chocolates and curated chocolate bar options did not disappoint. We bought several bars and they were all fantastic. Love the farm like modern feel of the restaurant. Overall a great experience. This restaurant has wonderfully innovative and delicious food, from a frequently changing menu, along with off-menu specials. Their wine selection is short but every bottle is really good, with the owner providing professional guidance. The staff are delightful. Dining on the patio during warm weather is an added bonus. Came here on vacation to visit my fiancés family and see my family as well. Her father suggested we go to this restaurant as it was his favorite. We were not disappointed, we ended up eating here three times in the last week. Loved it every single time and even took my family here for brunch. Eggs Benedict is the best I've had in a while. If it means anything I'm a well known private chef/chef consultant from California and would happily suggest you must try this little gem. The whole menu is Dee lush and even bought chocolates to go and that the owner "a chocolatier" makes its themselves. Service was friendly and punctual and all the servers were fantastic every single time. They make you feel like you're eating at an upscale restaurant with a very homie vibe. I had excellent customer service from my waitress, she was very nice and quick to answer questions and bring out our meals. I had the chicken, brie crepes topped with apple butter and they were delicious! The fruit salad and coffee I had paired perfectly with them. Pantoufle's Bistro has an eclectic menu with a French flair. Enter through Cocoa Mia Chocolates. The Bistro seats approximately 25 or so folks at tables ranging from 2 seaters to six tops. They also have a bar the seats about 8. When I dined for lunch they were doing a soft opening for lunch. I had the butter chicken which was super yummy. It was paired with a bottle of a very nice Italian blended wine. One of the cool things about this place is that the owner has a pretty good knowledge of wines. For those folks thinking about cleanliness, the health inspected found absolutely nothing to ding the restaurant on during the pre-opening inspection. If you've ever worked in food service you will know how impressive a task that is. Ok, so back to the food. Pantoufle's also has some special events with food and wine parings. I kinda like those as they allow me to try stuff I typically wouldn't try. Atmosphere is casual so come as you are. Staff is friendly the service is quick. Honestly, can't say anything negative about the place. Give it a try before they get too busy. read more
