This is the level of service we had with our dealer in California- personable, honest and direct. And accessible! Last september, I purchased a car only to find out that there was a recall on it since june.The dealer never told me about the recall.And currently, there is still a recall on the same car with an estimated time for the parts next year, 6/2025. I agreed on a purchase price with them - no confusion the sales associate quoted it back to me. After getting a quote from my bank, and doing all the paperwork (less than a day later) they raised the price by $3k. My experience only relates to service, and while I've been to most of the Ford dealerships in the area, this one is the worst. Most notably, everyone on the front end has a strange attitude, a chip on their shoulders that tends to come with holding a service job for too long. Perhaps they are entitled to it, given that the Main Line clientele can be difficult, but boy is it obvious! My recommendation: get some people in there who aren't completely on autopilot. That attitude is the primary reason why I will never return, despite the convenience of the location. I had several not great but not truly awful experiences here, but the one that sticks out is a failure to diagnose an imminent catastrophic failure that was covered by a recall I was within 1000 miles of missing. Through my search for a Mercedes Benz CLA 250, I stumbled upon a 2018 of the same make and model for sale at Paoli Ford for the price of $ 22,295.00. I took a test drive along with salesman, Charles Naivar, who I might add, was very congenial and sincere. I went forward with submitting my credit application only to find the finance manager, Joshua Camacho, "claimed" his only response was not indicative of other offers I have received. He continued to argue this while trying to act like he was working in my favor when he was clearly a "coaster". Truly devastated by his lack of effort, I reached out to the General Sales Manager, Steven Sharkey on at least "three" different occasions (email and phone) and he NEVER returned my calls or email. As a result, I cannot recommend this dealership and I can only recommend Charles Naivar as a top-notch salesman who probably needs to work for a superior dealership. Shame on Paoli Ford's finance worker who simply is incompetent! Update: I traveled to NJ and bought a 2019 Mercedes Benz CLA 250 with slightly higher miles and it was a wonderful experience! Plus, I was able to get a good rate and this car was listed more appropriately along with a finance team and General Manager who congratulated me and was present to answer any questions or concerns! This is a model Paoli needs to follow since they are lacking! read more

We own a 2018 Ford F150 pickup and the hood latch malfunctioned. As I drive on the highway a bit and needed it for a long trip, I called the nearby FOrd dealer where I've had the truck servied in the past. They said "can't see you for a week" without even checking past service records. Sadly, I called the next closest Ford dealer: same message! Thank goodness we called Paoli Ford, and spoke with Doug Souders. He said "This is important to you, I can tell -- so come on over now. We'll figure it out together". He stated that if it needed parts they could order them immediately and get us back on the road sooner. We drove over and, based on his DECADES long experience, knew exactly what the problem was. He fixed it on the spot and in a matter of minutes, gratis. I was stunned! They picked up my 2020 expedition (purchased there) for oil change at scheduled time 10:00 am. We also asked if they could check the car due to an odd alert we had twice while accelerating. Spoke to Greg (don't recommend) who tried to upsell an inspection several times on the call (I have until end of September for that). I called at 3:00 for status, again Greg, again keeps talking about the inspection! I just want to know about the oil change. He gave me a lot of run around until I flat out asked, will it be ready today? "Probably not." Ok....I needed my car back due to having my 3 car seats in there and can't take my kids anywhere. I asked them to bring it back then? Can't....don't have the drivers. What a convenient feature that pick up is! Told him I have no choice, I would just come get it in about 40 minutes then. Had to get a babysitter for the kids, leave work early, go get my husband, go to ford, and they have my car up front waiting. Walk in....straight to inspection talk AGAIN. What about the alerts that go off? Couldn't find anything. We can look again during...you guessed it, THE INSPECTION! He goes to the back. I go to pay, lady there tells me there's no charge. Wait....they didn't change the oil?? She goes in the back talking to Greg who is even giving HER attitude in his body language, shrugging and shaking his arms. She says "well the lady wants to know if her oil was changed and if she has to pay for it???" Only then does this coward admit that nope....no oil change. Couldn't even relay that message himself!! 6 hours you have my car there and do absolutely nothing. Yeah I'm sure I'll bring my car there for inspection Greg. Never again. And won't make my next purchase there either. read more

Bought a used truck from Paoli Ford about 18 months ago. The Carfax that they showed me was clean. Went to trade the truck in recently and the Carfax now showed that the truck was in a serious "structural" accident 6 months before I bought it. That resulted in a significant reduction in the trade in value of the truck. Needless to say I wasn't very happy. I learned two lessons from this incident. 1. You can't always trust Carfax and, 2. I wouldn't buy another used car or truck from Paoli Ford with your money. It shocks me (and makes me wonder) that their mechanics couldn't uncover the fact that this truck was in an accident that resulted in structural damage. I raised this issue with the dealership recently and was told that they had done a thorough inspection of the truck before it was sold to me. Thorough inspection? Well it looks to me like their team of mechanics aren't very good, which of course suggests that you might not want to buy a used vehicle from Paoli Ford. I purchased a 2014 Ford Focus from Matthews Paoli Ford. From the first day, I could tell something was weird with the transmission. It seemed like the car was misfiring all the time. Fast forward to a month ago, I was driving down the highway, and the TCM (transmission control module) breaks. I nearly crashed into another car as I was merging at 65 mph and died with my dog in the car. Ford has know this TCM to be defective for over a decade, and it nearly killed me!!! Matthews Pailo Ford sold me this car knowing this. So here we are now: No rental from Ford or the dealer & I have paid multiple insurance payments for a car I can't drive! Ford won't give loaners or compensation for depreciation. I will never buy a Ford again and recommend you do not either, especially at Matthews Paoli. I am not the only one dealing with this! I had to get some extra keys made for my Ford Econoline. It has a chip in it so I couldnt get it done at Home Depot. I had called the Ford dealer in Exton and was told I had to wait a week before they could fit me in to get the keys copied. It only takes an hour to do. So I called up Matthews Paoli Ford and was able to come in during lunch that day. There service was quick! I was told I had to wait an hour or so for them to cut and program two keys for me. It only took 30 mins and I was on my way. Dave, the service advisor was very nice. The waiting room is small and could be more comfortable. read more

Worst car buying experience I have ever had. My sales person, Lex Mellon was completely uneducated on the vehicle I was buying. The dealership gave me the wrong date on when my vehicle was to arrive and had to wait another six weeks to get it. Lex blamed everything on Ford and took no responsibility for the complete lack of customer service that I experienced. During the test drive she completely threw Ford under the bus and then asked me to fill out a survey for her, which I thought displayed a complete lack of integrity. Lex called me a week after to I picked up my vehicle. I thought it was to tell me about the new investigation into Ford 's emissions and MPG numbers on my new vehicle but Lex was calling to ask for referrals. Like everything else, Lex knew nothing about the investigation. While Paoli Ford May be a good dealership, Lex Mellon is a terrible sales person. Update: after seeing my review I got from the general manager of the dealership. He did his best to make things right, which I truly appreciated. I wish I had contacted him sooner. read more

Incompetent Sales Staff obviously doesn't know what they are doing, they let me drive off the lot without having my new 40k truck insured. No pressure, no lies, totally straight forward, showed us ALL the numbers, rates and calculations so we knew what we were getting and what was included and not included. Sales rep was super friendly and polite as was the manager that worked us through the costs and the final financial person for the contracts and paperwork. Every bit of the experience was relaxed. First and only time that we have purchased a car and felt that we did not have the wool pulled over our eyes. Got a Ford Escape. Car is great.
