What a sloppy excuse for an so called extra large half pepperoni half cheese pizza from papa Gino's in Fairhaven
Eddie C.

Sighs.. Well I knew it would bite me in the rear but I ended up goin to papa Gino's in Fairhaven , ma again even after a few bad experiences. My family and I decided to try the "ALL YOU CAN EAT" which we have never done. Well it started out smoothly since the 3 of us got our pizza slices within about 10 minutes or so and that's where the good service ended. Once we went up to get a 2nd helping which was (2) pasta dishes and bread sticks. 30 minutes went by and we complained about the wait (it was not busy) they say 1 more minute. 5 minutes goes by and guess what all they made was 1 pasta dish so I was like wtf where the other pasta and breadsticks so they apologize. (35 minutes and they made 1 penne dish) they tell them to finish the order I wait another 10 min and they tell me no breadsticks I'm again like wtf and then has the nerve to say did you get your other pasta dish yet I'm like NO so another 10 min goes by and I finally get it. Undercooked pasta with barely no pasta sauce. Now I'm pissed. So I say just give us more pizza slices then which took another 15 minutes so all in all we were there for 1.5 hrs and all we ate was 2 slices of pizza each and losing our appetites so we boxed up the food as soon as it came to the table. I saw the girl who took our order keep telling the cooks about our food they just didn't seem to care and when I told her to tell her manager we are upset and how long we have waited and guess what no manager even came to our table to speak with us. Seems like such a scam all you can eat NOT QUITE because they make you wait so long that you don't want to eat you just want to leave. Considering we were the only customers when we arrived there we were shocked at the service. Funny enough they had about 8 employee working. It's no wonder no one else was there eating the all you can eat I bet everyone else learned their lesson and now I've learned mine. The service will never change. Customer service sucks. The managers must be leading by example with showing how they don't care either when a customer is having a bad dining experience. Previous review of 2 Stars has dropped this one to 1 star for consistent dissatisfaction. 1 positive the pizza tasted good. The pasta sucked the service sucked.

So good ! 2 large up to 5 toppings for $10.99 each !

GrubHub takeout orders are pies... you have to show before they make it and wait an hour! Thanks

The Rustic cheese pizza is still one of the best pies around, and the little ones loved the Mac and Cheese Buffalo pizza.

The Nook is a really special place. In my opinion, places like Mirasol are extremely overrated…read morecompared to what The Nook offers. The drinks here are outstanding. The Painkiller is fantastic, especially if you add caramel. The Epic Vanilla Skooma is dangerously addictive - the flavor profile is incredible, and honestly nobody else in the area comes close. The Buzz is another excellent choice. The food is just as impressive. Their linguica and cheese rolls are leagues above the competition, and I'd put them alongside the very best around. I highly recommend ordering a regular cheese roll leveled up with egg, bacon, and their house-made hot sauce. If you enjoy a Portuguese style hot sauce, this combination is absolutely worth trying - you will not be disappointed. The peanut butter cookie is unreal; I genuinely wish I had the recipe. The baked goods are consistently excellent, and whenever they have a special, just order it. I've rarely been disappointed by anything they've made. I used to live nearby and honestly miss having this place around. Their pizzas deserve recognition too. They're some of my favorite bar style pizzas in the area. If you prefer an ultra thin pizza, you might lean toward Dipper Cafe, but it's hard to beat The Meatball Thing, the Thanksgiving pizza during the holidays, and many of their other specialty pies. The atmosphere adds even more to the experience. They have arcade style games you can play while you wait, and the music is always great. If you're into King Diamond or heavier music, you'll probably hear something you love. If you live nearby or are just passing through the area, don't skip The Nook. For me - and for everyone I've recommended it to - The Nook easily earns the title of best coffee shop in the area.

-ONE PARAGRAPH REVIEW-…read more The Nook has great coffee. The Nook has great food- not entrés but café stuff: sandwich rolls, focaccias, muffins, etc. The Nook has old school, retro vibes. It has rock music vibes. It has creative, inspirational vibes. It has quiet, read-a-book-in-the-nook vibes but also loud Donkey Kong-guitar riff-crunchin' vibes; depending on the time and the day. It's perhaps a tad too small inside, but that's what makes it a nook. Lots of hot and iced coffee options, food is quality over quantity: get their signature cheese or linguica roll as-is or "leveled up" to make it an egg sandwich because it's the best around. And their focaccias are made like a pizza and imo are better than their actual pizza! Ok that's a paragraph!
