When 2 people come in together, 1 orders a large pizza and the other orders a small sub, it is customary in the restaurant business to wait until the pizza is almost ready and then make the sub. Always bring both items to the table at the same time. Bringing the sub to the table right away while the pizza takes another 20 minutes is just wrong. One person has food while the other does not. The irony of asking for a 5-star review after dropping off the food to only 1 customer is just wild. read more

Used to love Papa Gino's, and haven't been to one in a while. Sadly my experience reminded me why I haven't. Got a pepperoni pizza and a hot dog platter. Both were average at best. Price was high, and customer service was non existent. Most likely my last Papa Gino's visit. read more

Very accommodating to have our pizzas ready to go at 10:30 AM just as their doors opened. Called to order a couple of pies are on our way to the Jimmy Buffett concert. The woman answering the phone was very obliging and delivered on her promise of having the food ready when we were. We ordered two extra large pizza pies. One was a basic margarita and the other one we added three toppings to. The pizza was a bit soggy, the crust and sauce we're good. Almost $40 later and we are off on our way. This corporation can't keep closing locations fast enough. A SMALL 25 dollar pizza that looked like a Salvador Dali clock. I've worked for them and I know what it takes to make a nice pie, this location is awful. Definitely had slices curled up from lunch time that they were trying to sell. Such a money grubbing corporation. Having been a manager 10 years ago, I know the cost of the pie then was 17 cents. With simple math, they're probably at 50 cents cost to make today. It's my fault for paying that much for pizza, but it really is a tasty pizza when it's made right. I figured I'd try it on last time before they all close. read more

I'd give no stars if I could. Friend while over ordered food from here, they forgot half the order and when they brought it, it was wrong anyway. This week we ordered a couple cheese pizzas and an order of wings, wing didn't come so they had to go back and get them, while we waited we opened the pizzas to find out not only were they cold but they weren't even cut. Then the wings come finally and alas also cold. This is the only place that delivers pizza that is close by but unfortunately I think this will be our last. Money in the trash tonight. read more

Not sure what happened here. This used to be a once a week or more stop for me but it has changed. The management is still really nice but the food has gone downhill. It tastes like they bought 109 gallon buckets of grub and warmed it. In the old days, this place served fast food that tasted like Cousin Luigi from Italy cooked it just for you. Also, the prices shit up and the loyalty card that used to be great is now useless. Looks like corporate is making decisions that result in empty restaurants. When I used to go there, it was always packed but now, it's always empty. My spot is empty now because Papa's is a totally different place than it was when I first started going to their Dedham store in 1980. What a terrible place. I ordered a large pizza on line. When I got there to pick it up they discovered they had made an extra large instead. I also paid for extra cheese and meatballs-so what do they do to rectify the situation (they discovered it when it didn't fit in the box)...the manager took a knife and cut the middle of the pizza out and jammed it in the box. Been here many times because i work up the street. Last fee times ordered a large super steak and my coworker a couple slices. Had to wait 25 minutes each time. First off the lighting was a little bit too dim for my liking. We got the chicken which was good but did it was not the most high quality chicken I have had. We also got the fries, they tasted good but kind of tasted like they were at one point frozen. Well salted though. Lastly we got the cheesy garlic bread that had a great garlic flavor profile. But then again it is kind of hard to mess up CHEESY GARLIC BREAD. So as a recap the atmosphere needs work but the food is good. read more
