The biggest surprise was the quality of the food. We ordered chicken ziti broccoli dinners, pizza and salads. The chicken, ziti broccoli dish was delicious! Chicken was tender, broccoli was cooked perfectly and the pasta was al dente. The sauce was light, just the right balance of garlic and alfredo. We had more than enough for lunches the next day! Loved that each pasta meal came with garlic bread and a fresh side salad - we enjoyed their homemade Italian dressing. It's my new favorite dressing in the area. I work less than a mile away from this place and go here at least once or twice a week. I really only get the pizza, but I can honestly say that it's my favorite south of Boston. I've never had to wait more than 20 mins for my order. It's a nice, clean looking place with some tables and chairs and a to go counter. The staff are friendly, especially the owner. Sometimes I just pop over for a slice and one slice is actually two (yes they cut it that way) so it's like 1/4 of a pizza. A couple times it could've been warmed up better, but it's always good enough. Parking is shared with the Cumberland farms next door and at busy times it's scarce. But I can honestly say I've never not found a spot. I honestly just order cheese pizza, I think if pizza is really good it doesn't necessarily need toppings. Though I'm sure with toppings it's also good. Great sauce and cheese, crust is not super crunchy but not doughy either. Occasionally bottom can have some doughy spots. First time dining at Pizzeria Grande. My son is a residential student at the League School for Autism in Walpole and a BIG fan of pizza. He wanted me to find him a 'good' pizza place and so I decided to try Pizzeria Grande. I placed an online order to be delivered the following day at dinner time. The next day my son called in the morning and was having a hard time waiting to have his pizza until supper time and really wanted it for lunch. I called Pizzeria Grande when the opened and explained the situation and asked if there was any way possible to change the time for delivery to like 12:30 as I was mindful that they just opened and were probably busy. The owner ( I think his name was Mike) was who I spoke with. He was extremely understanding and even offered to get the pizza there earlier if I needed. He then called me before he was ready to get it ready to ensure he got the order correct as he didn't want to disappoint my son. The delivery was smooth and easy and my son LOVED the pizza. It made his WHOLE day to get it for lunch. Amazing customer service, compassionate, and understanding! Very thankful for the kindess! We will be back for sure!! read more

In town staying at a local hotel for work. The staff was really friendly both on the phone and upon delivery. Delivery was super fast, especially on a Saturday!!!! The pizza was excellent. I got a small thin crust with pepperoni, spinach, and black olives. The ingredients were all individually fresh and yummy. The small was enough for two people who aren't starving, especially with an appetizer, but get a large if you're really hungry. The only downside was the buffalo mozzarella sticks......they were limp and not very warm. But everything else was great and far beyond expectation!!!! Used to be my favorite until new owners took over. The pizza is never delivered hot and they skimp on the cheese big time. Their steak and cheese used to be fantastic...not anymore. The steak is kind of gross now and has "chewy" things in it. Whatever you do do not order the steak tips, they're not tender and taste funny - my dogs loke. This place gets only three stars (and that's generous). The service gets zero stars. I would give it negative stars, but I think that having negative stars might break some sort of law of astrophysics and create a black hole, and I certainly don't want to be responsible for that. Anyways, the food gets five stars. It was delicious, and I can't pretend like it wasn't. It seems like delivery would be the way to go, so that you can avoid the miserable girl who is the cashier in the restaurant. She clearly hates her job, and doesn't even attempt to hide it. But she shouldn't take that out on the customers. Lighten up! The restaurant itself is outdated, and unfortunately didn't exude cleanliness. In the right hands, this place could be good. I have been going here for years, specifically for their salads and home-made dressing. Recently, they have an app you can place your order through. The first few times, it was great, quick, easy, simple. However, the last three times, not so much. I get a confirmation that my order will be ready in a specific time, usually a half hour after ordering. I show up at that time and they haven't even started making it yet. Sit there for another 20 minutes or so waiting. What bugs me is that I only order salads. It shouldn't take almost an hour to make two salads. They need better counter help, people who seem to know what they are doing. And also need a new cook so the owner isn't left cooking in the kitchen. Won't be going back until service improves. There was another customer in there last night who seemed to be in the same situation. We were both on the edge of cancelling our orders and going elsewhere. read more

Pizza was delivered about 5 mins before it was scheduled and they were excellent as always. I occasionally stop in for a slice during the day if I'm in the area. Great pizza, great people. Meatball calzone and grilled chicken salad are very tasty. Dislike their pizza, soggy, almost seemed undercooked. Behind the counter appears dirty and disorganized. I am giving Pizzeria Grande only 1 star however because recently I ordered a salad that came with cheese. I got home, discovered there was no cheese, and called them back to see what we could do about it. They proceeded to tell me they put cheese on it, it doesnt come with cheese, and finally they did put cheese on it again. Yet I'm looking at my salad and there is no cheese! They pretty much called me a liar and wouldn't do anything to rectify their mistake. The pizza at this place is exceptional. It has the right amount of cheese, sauce, crust, toppings- it has the whole nine yards. The price is a decent price, if you go to the online website they normally have coupons to get money off. However, I would not suggest getting it delivered. Normally it takes about half an hour for the pizza to get delivered, no matter how close you are. In reality though, it can take over an hour before the pizza man shows up, and they never offer anything for reconciliation of the delay. read more
