This place is awful and I wish I would have read the reviews before ordering. Website didn't record our order as delivery. It asked for our address and I even was asked if I wanted updates. I got non of that. Almost 2 hrs later I called the store when I hadn't received my very simple two medium pizzas and was very rudely told it was a carry out not a delivery and it had been sitting there for about an hour. I said nope I placed a delivery. He said well that will be a $5 charge. Ok no problem. He comes back saying the charge didn't go through. I said that's the same card u just charged $37 to. I said maybe you need to try again. He said mam is something wrong? I said yes this sounds like operator error and I ordered delivery, it's been an hour and a half. Even if I made the mistake to not order delivery why didn't someone call the number we have to give to let me know that my pizza was sitting there for an hour? He said well would you like me to cancel the order? Yep go ahead and refund. Can I please get a confirmation number? He said no you can come in and get a receipt. Omg!!! I ask my husband if he could just go get the F@$king pizza? We have been faithful weekly customers of Papa Johns for almost 9 years, but over the last two years, the quality has diminished. Both the Temple and Belton locations are hit and miss for crust and toppings. The crust is what made Papa Johns really stand out, and we found no better product. However, when poorly executed, to the point that it is burnt, uneven, and sloppily presented, that leaves us to find another venue for pizza. At the Belton store, the person in charge was willing to refund our pizza two times in a row and acknowledged that "it depends on who is working" regarding the product. However, with that admission, to serve an unappetizing, burnt product that doesn't match the standard is poor service and management. read more

General Manager Kenneth was beyond rude when I requested a refund when the Uber driver who was supposed to deliver our food decided to eat it. He was obnoxious and has 0 customer service skills. He as the GM pretended like he didn't know how to give a refund.... AS THE GENERAL MANAGER. He kept dodging questions when asked. The location took 4 phone calls to answer the phone. He legit said he was WASTING HIS TIME BY TALKING TO ME after messing up and I called back to check on the order. He said he wouldn't process my refund if I kept talking like that, I was simply assertive, no yelling, swearing, insults or threats. He wanted me to go away because he didn't feel like assisting me and didn't apologize even ONCE. read more

NEVER going back to Papa John's. Pizza is bland, inconsistent and customer service is ONLY good if you file a complaint with higher-ups within CORPORATE. (They are actually excellent unlike most food-chains who could care less). Now the actual Belton TX store.... NOT so much. They are pretty incompetent and look half asleep, although I like that lady manager type and that guy who left Little Caesar's to work there because he is pretty professional and attentive. I had read somewhere that the original Papa John's CEO thought the company was being run-down hill and the pizzas no longer taste good. Boy was he right.!!! It's very sad. We saw a delivery car one street over. Less than half a mile. I called and they said they don't deliver to this address. We are 5.5 miles from the store. I thought that wasn't a far distance especially since I saw a car making a delivery in the neighborhood. This isn't the first time they have made deliveries to this neighborhood. So disappointed. Went to pick up order at appointed time, it was not ready. The clerk rang me up and pointed out on the receipt where I could write in a tip (for my order that was not ready). I ended up waiting 45 minutes for my order. Was told it was in the oven...almost ready...being remade, almost ready again, etc. Got home, opened the box, and it was not even what I ordered. Disappointing, but not the reason for 1 star. As I stood there for 45 minutes waiting for my order, I observed people making pizza with no gloves, no hairnets, no beardnets, no hand washing. I watched one employee answer the phone, go around touching various things (including his face and hair), then go back to making pizzas without washing his hands (although he did wipe them off on his very dirty shirtfront). A while back I gave them 3star but after today's order, I am extremely happy and gave them 5star!! I got everything that was ordered through the Papa John's Pizza app (highly recommend) plus the garlic sauce that I love. The female delivery driver was very nice! Being one of the few restaurants in the area that delivers, I believe the this place feels they can short their customers and get away with it. We ordered a pizza and wings...the pizza was ok even though the toppings were a bit on the minimal side. However at least eight of the 24 wings were at one time whole wings or drums and then cut in half and sold as whole wings. It is a decieptful practice, and one that will be reported to the BBB if it continues. This is the second time in a row that this has happened, so clearly this isn't an accident or an employee mistake. Shame on this establishment! read more

After I called the Temple Papa John's and ordering and getting a call back saying they couldn't deliver, I called here and they understood my frustration and gave me a slight discount for my troubles. I love Papa Johns, but I was particularly annoyed when they charged me for sauce. Alright, no big deal, that happens sometimes. The worst part was they didn't even deliver a sauce when it delivered. So we had a new home built and cannot order online. That isn't the problem, we understand maps need updates for new neighborhoods. I called in the order and the girl on the phone tried to tell me 1/2 pepperoni and half bacon on ONE HALF of the pizza and the other half with half mushroom and half onion are 4 toppings. Which it is not, if you go online and create your own pizza it is in deed .... only 2 full toppings. I have ordered pizza enough over the phone and online since i was a kid. I know how to measure as well. So I chose to order from another company... I sent a compliant in and received an email the next day. The reason for this Yelp review is that I was called on July 4th from someone from their store trying to offer 40% off if I ordered that day. This was not a recording, it was a young man calling me on the 4th of July offering 40% my order. After the service or lack of service I received from the other day I chose to take my business elsewhere. The email I received offered me 2 codes for FREE pizza and I did not use them. Why would i purchase pizza atba 40% discount from this place after receiving attitude from the girl the other day when I already was given a free offer code??? Since when does Papa John's CALL customers from their stores asking them to order and they will receive a 40% discount. I have been in the restaurant business and retail business for over 20 years. This was not the norm and very offputting from the beginning when I called to the end when i received a call from a store employee. Not even a call from the store manager, just an email from the director of operations. With my work schedule I am just now getting a chance to post this. Love the pizza. Terrible customer service. I don't know if it was a bad night for them, but we waited over 3 hours for a pizza. They delivered the wrong one the first time, so when we called they said they would have The correct pizza to us in 45 minutes. Waited almost two hours and they had no idea what was going on. Drove up there to get my refund, and Bryce was extremely rude. Will not be back to this one, and that's a shame because I love their pizza and I am a generous tipper. read more

Extremely helpful service and the woman who took my order was so nice I wish I could have just remembered her name!
