The biggest issue was the quality of the food. If you're going to charge around $15 for a breakfast, put a good-quality sausage patty on the grill. It doesn't take much to make a flavorful sausage gravy from scratch either, but this gravy tasted like it came straight from a bag or can and had almost no flavor. The biscuits themselves were actually pretty good, but pouring margarine over the top completely changed the taste. The sausage patties weren't very good and seemed like they'd been left on the grill too long. The fried potatoes were decent, and so was the sourdough toast. The staff was nice and working hard--they were extremely busy. There were a lot of people in line, so clearly plenty of people enjoy the breakfast here, and the place itself has an interesting atmosphere. The price didn't help. $4 for a Sprite is overkill. We had one breakfast with an egg, sausage, toast and home fries, one waffle, half an order of biscuits and gravy, and drinks, and the bill was over $40. At that price point, I simply expect better-quality breakfast ingredients. This is just our experience and opinion. The staff was friendly, and considering how busy they were, I give them credit for that. Maybe we'll give it another shot next year, but this time around, the quality just didn't match the price.

Had a hard time using my fork to stab it and wound up using my spoon to gather it up to eat because it broke up so much. Taste was not bad outside of the dryness. Way disappointed in this joint. Had the makings and smells of a great place. Just very dry meat with the pork and brisket. And others eating with us had a burger and it was over cooked and dry as well. The baked beans had a ok flavor, but needed help so I injected some money sauce to help and that worked. The potato salad was very plain and no real flavor sadly. I love potato salad and wish I chosen another side item that this. Service was good and not too bad. Little slow since there was pretty much no one in the joint. But they were nice folks. One of the ketchup dispensers was broken and the sleeve that holds the little cups was so worn out you could not get the cup out with your hand. I went to find a table and noticed the carpet was filthy. This didn't make sense with the people standing around behind the counter. My food came and the fish was a darker brown than it should have been. Classic example of oil not being changed often enough. And the custard was already on the tray. It will be melted before I can eat it. I remember when this one opened. It was top rate service and food. The owner needs to invest in maintenance and training staff. I am super disappointed.
