Love this place! I came to the Daytona Taproom after a rough day. I got a Blue Moon and the burger sandwiched between grilled cheese that was featured on Man Versus Food. Boy, did the food win. Just a heads up, you can ask for a different sauce to come with your meal. I got the chipotle sauce with my fries, and it was delicious. I also got the churro bites filled with cream cheese, and they were absolutely heavenly dipped in caramel sauce. Service was awesome, and the staff were genuinely nice. We flew into Daytona late on Saturday night and didn't have time to eat at the airport connecting in ATL, so we were starving. This was on my list of Daytona brew tour and they were open until 11. Got there around 10 and the kitchen was closing, but the service here stepped up and took our order. This gesture made me a fan of this place and I want to thank the cook working the night of 6/13/26. We ordered a couple of beers and waited for our smashburgers and onion rings. We came here based on a Man vs. Food show. When we entered we thought it looked really divey and kind of dirty. That's being said the server was super personable and was helpful With the menu. We all ordered smash burgers in different varieties. I ate a regular smash burger that was delicious and plenty. My husband and son had the smash burger between two grilled cheeses and Mac and cheese on the smash burger. These burgers are epic! The fries were good. Since moving to Daytona, there are very few places I have visited multiple times, but this place is not one of them. I have lived here for four months and have been 5+ times. The beer selection is amazing, they have an entire chalkboard wall covered with beers on tap. They have pool tables and plenty of TV's (some don't work, but not the end of the world). This burger, though, is out of this world. Insanely good prices with kind service too. It is a classic dive bar vibe, but with incredible food and drink options. Turns out they have some crazy mountain burgers and for pretty cheap. It's a lot of food. I had the PIG BURGER. I'm surprised I didn't shit my pants mid burger. Service was great, they were attentive but I also sat at the bar. The place is really divey and grungy with a stage and a lot of space so it is probably a good time and it's right off the beach so it's not too annoying. Worth the sanny. Came in on a supper bowl Sunday. Was not packed. A true no frills dive bar. Ordered the big Richard, as seen in Man VS Food, it was huge and plenty for 2. Sunday night dinner and drinks...the place was hot, the food was overly salty and the service was, well, read on and determine for yourself. Octavia, one of our servers, came over to take our order. Because it was so hot in this joint, Octavia was stripped down to her black bra as part of this evenings wardrobe and entertainment. We placed our orders and asked for a North Coast Old Rasputin and a sample of the Breckenridge Vanilla Porter (samples are encouraged on the blackboard with the long list of brews).  Octavia looked over at the wall of taps and said they were "out of Breckenridge" but would bring the NCOR and place our orders. As we waited, another server, Ambrose, walked by and asked if we needed anything.  He let us know they had plenty of the Breckenridge Vanilla Porter on tap and would bring us a sample and check on our food. Later, Ambrose came by with an order of fried pickles asking each table if they had placed this order. After he left the fried Pickles with the customers at the table behind us, a customer at a table further back called out that they ordered the fried Pickles. When Ambrose went to take the fried Pickles back from the table he dropped them off at the customer in the back yelled out that he didn't want those fried Pickles that were left on the other table (understandable). In the interim, a group of 3 guys and a girl came in and took over the first booth by the door...and all of Octavia's attention. Ambrose essentially assumed control of all of the other booths along the wall so Octavia could take care of the one booth up front and continue chatting with the dudes that were smoking out in front of the restaurant. After ordering a Breckenridge during dinner and waiting and waiting,  Ambrose finally brought the beer to the table, dropped it off and said it was on the house due to the delay.  Nice gesture.  Ambrose was personable,  friendly and interactive throughout our visit with all the customers. Now, back to Octavia the bra wearing,  disinterested,  highly unprofessional and totally lacking in any form of customer service skills "waitress".  Bear in mind, Ambrose and Octavia were working as a team but on this team Ambrose was doing all the work and Octavia was....we'll, we're not sure exactly what Octavia was supposed to be doing.  Maybe Octavia is in training,  if so, hopefully some of Ambrose's people skills and work ethics will find their way into her new career. After dinner, Octavia brought us our check.  Finally, once we were able to get Octavia's attention again, while she was hanging out behind the bar, to come back to ring out our order...we could audibly hear Octavia tell Ambrose "they're not my table" (so much for teamwork). After an embarrassing back and forth with Octavia and after we paid the bill, she screamed out for us to never come back and get out of "her restaurant".  When we let her know how unprofessional she was acting  she said if you want to talk to the owner to call 407-862-9859.   So, we did and unbelievably, the number Octavia gave us was out of service. When we let Octavia know the owners phone number she gave us was out of order,  she threw us out of the restaurant and told us to never come back or she'd call the cops.  Really??? This is now a staple for our future visits to Dayton. We came during the office season so it wasn't chaotic and parking on the street was easy. It's wonderfully grungy, with all stickers and chalk drawings of a dive bar. Our server was incredibly cool, sassy, and attentive- she's truly one of our new favorite people in town and we'll be back to see her in 3 years or less. The food - I'm still dreaming and salivating over the chilly fries. Everything was hot, flavorful, and well seasoned. Paired these with their Florida Man IPA and a Strawberry Cider. We came around 9pm on a weekend to grab a bite after work. The location is very spacious and has interesting murals/graffiti on the walls. That night they had a guitarist and violinist playing live music which was unique. However the volume was extremely loud from the completely other end of the establishment. We had to yell the whole time just to hear each other. The waitress was nice but forgot about us for at least 20 minutes at the end after asking if we wanted anymore drinks before bar closed. We were the only table and there were 2 other people drinking at the bar 20 minutes over the cutoff given. Other than that the service was done in a timely manner. We ordered the Daytona Sliders which came with three smash style burgers and fries, the Smashmeat Basket, and the Bacony Bacon burger. All three of us almost couldn't finish the portions were very good. Food quality was not bad at all, however the slider Pattie's were a bit bland. My cousins enjoyed their beers and were served quickly after ordering. If the music had not been so loud I would have enjoyed the atmosphere a bit more. I most likely will visit again if we are out on the town and am craving some simple bar food late at night and no other spots are open. read more

Went again to see if it changed after all the TV shows, and I'm glad it's still the same. We were the only ones in there which scared me. The waitress was friendly and took our order after answering some questions. The fries are big enough for two to maybe share, IF they weren't as good as they are. Freshly cut and salty with plenty of options. The burgers are cooked right there in front of you and taste amazing. The building itself is pretty run down and inside smelled stale before the food started being cooked. It needs a makeover IMO but some would say it gives it character. read more

Without a doubt, this place has some of the best burgers in town! We go at least once a month, and the must have for me are the truffle fries! Hand cut, hot, fresh and so yummy! Paired with a Big Richard Burger (2 smashers, fried mac & cheese, with 2 grilled cheese sandwiches for the buns!) and an ice cold brew and you'll find quickly yourself in Nirvana! This is a large restaurant, and I can imagine how packed it can get with their location on Seabreeze. There are many beer taps available, and a huge wall listing out their beers! However, I came for a burger, and there are so many choices for burgers, Gourmet burgers, smashmeat burgers, and 420 burgers with crazy combinations! I went with the breakfast burger that had two patties, bacon, cheese, two fried eggs, in between two french toast slices! A good brunch burger that's cooked on a black top! I do not like leaving bad reviews but I'm so sad this place has changed since I used to come to trivia a few years ago. Plastic cups, creepy bartenders, raw ground beef warming up on the bar.... Tonight I came here with my family who were all excited about burgers and beer. I notice when we walk in that there's meat plopped on a scale (as pictured) and sitting about 12 inches from the bar. I assume someone is about to use the meat and that it has not been there long. The bartender told us to order from the taps behind him, so my dad asked for a beer that appeared to be on tap. Bartender said no, all of the taps are "a lie" and they don't have those beers. ok..... So then my dad gets some other beer and the bartender serves it in a plastic party cup......ok (plastic is really the worst for so many reasons) Dad's new beer tastes really weird (he knows the taste well lol) so he gives it back to the bartender, who insists nothing is wrong with the beer. ok At this point, I once again notice the meat. It's been like at least 15 minutes since I'd last seen it. I am no food safety snob, but omfg THAT IS RAW GROUND BEEF SITTING ON YOUR BAR DUDE. Right next to a very warm grill!! But nobody was doing anything with the meat. So I snap a pic That's when my dad looks over to the other end of the bar, where bartender & another person are snickering about something and ignoring us holding up menus....Perhaps snickering about us, which is kinda rude considering we were literally the only customers in there. Probably the best fried chicken I have ever tasted. The jam and maple (I'm not sure what that was) made this sandwich a home run. They have fresh cut fries which we did not try.
