The food I received was delicious. The staff were polite and professional plus my food was ready when I arrived. Tried the new chicken bacon ranch sandwich and it was great. I called to order a large stuffed crust and some bread sticks. I was told the total was $30. When I went to pick up the pizza I told the worker that on the app and online said that $16 for the pizza and $8 for the breadsticks. I asked him why mine was so much. Hmmm, the commercial on tv enticed is to give the Shaq-a-Roni pizza a try. Extremely disappointed with it, the pepperoni had an odd taste (mixed with turkey maybe) and it didn't cup when cooked so that is a sign it's not good pepperoni. Crust was good, sauce ok just not a fan, and not friendly staff. Too many others that are better. read more

I placed an order online to go pick up. I arrive a couple minutes before it's ready. When I went to pay I asked for a few extra sauces. The girl behind the counter told me it would have to be a separate transaction. Not sure why, but OK. (I understand some systems are like that). So I pay for the sauces in a separate transaction. While I'm still waiting, another customer comes in. He asked the same thing - for extra sauces. I was curious to see if his would have to be a separate transaction. Nope. He didn't get charged at all. He was given his extra sauces. My issues is this - if you're going to charge one person and they're still IN your store, you should charge the next person too. There was no familiarity like they may have known each other. There's no consistency, not to mention the extra sauces seem to cost too much anyway. The food, however, was good. Always consistent there. Just not in a hurry to return due to service. read more

Ordered a medium pepperoni pizza with extra sauces. I was told delivery would be an hour and that was very accurate. The sauces are 50 cents each but when my pizza arrived they weren't in the box. The driver told me to call the store and a manager spoke to me and told me she would send him back in about twenty minutes and he returned with the missing sauces plus two extra and apologized. I thought that was pretty awesome. As always the pizza was amazing. read more

I always regret ordering pizza from this store, not because of anything they do wrong, or right, but because it's an epic fail to order chain restaurant pizza you can have anywhere while being in a vacation spot. Surely there is much better pizza out there. But this one is within walking distance of my yearly rental, and is a complete staple. If ur on the beach, tired, hungry, and unable to drive due to adult libations, it's just so freaking easy to pull up the Papa Johns app, and order a pizza and shitty wings, and be feasting in 20 minutes. It's not great, it's not bad, it's not special, but it has its place right next to a side of "that was super easy." read more

So, simple review it's always a hit or miss with any fast food restaurants but this one was a hit! Called for delivery was to far out of range but had great customer service over the phone. Once we got to the location same sweet customer service. Food was done very quickly! And was delicious! Ex large plain and cheesy bread. read more

We first received the wrong order. When we called to say the order was wrong, the person who answered the phone was like "so" and didn't know what to do. We then talked to a manager and while that was happening the delivery person came back with our order that went to the wrong place as well. By that time, the pizza and chicken strips were cold and tasted like cardboard. Well, what we ate, anyway. After thinking about it, we weren't sure where it had been by that point and whether someone else had opened it or touched it before it got to us. We have had Papa John's before and it was fine, not great. But this experience where there was no customer service from the store or delivery person, and cold fold, will not have us order from them ever again. read more

I order from them online and go pick it up. The first time 3 years ago they messed up an order but never since and I order from them at least once a month since I live nearby and they are good for a last minute meal. I like the thin crust and it comes out consistently each time. It might not be as good as some of the non-chain pies but it is certainly not bad. read more

This summer is the first time I have used Papa John's delivery services. On the three occasions I have called in for delivery, my call was received immediately. I always feel the need to give some specific directions in order to find my particular apartment, and they patiently take the information. Each time I ordered, an estimated time of arrival was given, yet the pizza was delivered sooner each time. The best news- the pizza is always delicious! Great job Papa John's! read more

I LOVE Papa Johns in my hometown of Niles, Ohio -- they put enough sauce on the dough and you get a little dipping cup of garlic sauce or whatever it is to dip the dough into. I have a beach house in Nags Head and I couldn't wait to order from Papa John's here -- WHAT A MISTAKE! I don't even know if there was sauce on the dough; I got the works but I couldn't even see the vegetables because they were diced so thin. And yes, I know everything on this island costs more but back home you get a Monday and Tuesday special for like $6.99 and it's worth it. Here I paid $12 or $13 for the same size pizza (no specials here like back home) and well, I just don't understand why a Papa John's pizza isn't the same here in the OBX or in any little town in America, and why the HUGE difference in price! I also didn't get any dipping sauce. Overall it was just a HUGE disappointment; I would not recommend buying pizza from any pizzeria on this island -- go to Food Lion, buy a DiGiournos, save a bunch of money, and have just as good of a time and just as good of a meal! read more
