How hard is it to put three slices of cheese on a sandwich? Aside from that, everything was fine...shit no it's not fine, the cost of the order was $20.64 and I gave them $20.65. I did not get my change back. It not the one cent difference it's the principal. I might bring this up to the manager should we return. Long story short, yes we would give this place another try.

With the day being extremely hot out, and after spending the day in the sun, we wanted a refreshment to rehydrate. My sister has the app and was going to order ahead of time, that way when we got there, we could just pick it up and go. But the app kept saying everything we wanted to order was not available. We decided to take the risk and come here to order in person. How other reviewers state that you can't pull up to one of those stalls is correct. There are vehicles parked at some of those, but they appear to be the employees inside working. Which forces everyone into the drive thru and right into a chock hold. When you get to the pull up menu to order, you are basically told to wait and wait you do. Never mind the fact that you are now stuck, you can't back out, you can't move forward, you are just stuck. Then they come on and you start the ordering. This takes a lot of time. You can't just rattle off what you want, they literally make you go slow at ordering. You think that after ordering it will go a bit quicker, it doesn't. You sit and wait some more. Thank god for air conditioning in vehicles. If this is a faucet, the line is a trickle or even a drip. When we finally got our drinks, the order was at least correct. But they should be upfront about this place. Let people know that you don't honor the app, that you don't serve the stalls, that you will wait for nearly a half hour to complete the transaction. Save yourself, don't come here.

But, I have kids and sometimes I'm outvoted by them. For dinner time the drive-thru line actually ran pretty quickly and I don't have any complaints about the food - outside of it being typical McDonald's food and not exactly gourmet. It wasn't the friendliest service but it was functional. Mostly I just dislike the entire chain these days, and as someone that eats plenty of fast-food it takes a lot to put me off an entire chain.

Normally it's the location in Nags Head or if we're down south then Morehead City but the JM website said there was a location in Manteo so we made the trip over. Very easy to find in Manteo as the store is right by a laundromat and the old Piggly Wiggly. Not tons of parking, but it was good enough for 7pm on a weeknight. (Note that currently if you just type in Jersey Mike's Manteo on Google, the map pin is in the wrong location. Going through JM's website to a Google Map will equal the correct store location). If you've ever been to a JM's then you know that your place your order, any cold subs are more or less made right away and then for something hot you wait until it's done since everything is made to order. I order a #7 (Turkey & Provolone) and the Old Lady orders a #43 (Chipotle Cheese Steak) with a request to really grill the peppers and onions. My sub is more or less ready within a few minutes. Her sub...not so much. Working backwards, the store had just opened a little more than a week prior and aside from two people working from I assume the Nags Head location, everyone else was new and the tickets/orders were all over the place. Website, phone and in person stuff for hot orders were backed up all over the place with several people hanging out waiting for orders. After about twenty minutes, a member of the staff asked what we were waiting for and realized they gave my wife's sub to someone else picking up a take out order. Whatever. After a few minutes the correct order was fired up and all things were good. No issue with the cleanliness of the store as two members of staff (they had a lot of people working that night) were cleaning things the entire time we were there and no issues with the food quality. Sure, the long wait was a PIA but afterwards there was more apologizing than necessary and all was good.

Instead of apologizing for never getting my order and instead of being grateful I moved the line forward since I only wanted a drink this attendant proceeded to berate and insult me for not waiting at the order kiosk while cars kept lining up behind me because she was ignoring me. According to her, nothing was her fault and I was wrong to pull forward. Why didn't you just wait, MAMA? The servers behind her were rolling their eyes at her bad behavior. I think they're used to her rotten treatment of customers. Crappy service, and even worse customer treatment at the Wendy's in Kitty Hawk, NC. This woman needs to learn decorum, professionalism and manners.
